It seems altogether like we don't hear what we want to hear and don't see what we want to see. The squad composition has been serially crappy for several years. I do believe that an open heart surgery is needed in our club. If Man U is in good state and ETH claims otherwise, I could have blamed him. I do hope INEOS will do the needful by doing a thorough review of the whole club culture and management. If an enabling structure is set up, then we can blame the coach if and when he fails. How can a club be filled with below-average and overpaid brats with no ambition and hope to compete with Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool? The solution should be holistic, and the open heart surgery should not be midway but total.
Always a joy to read your insightful comments on Man Utd. You are 100% right and it looks like INEOS and the people that they are bringing into the club are saying the same thing.... "Lets give the manager the support and structure needed to succeed, if he fails we will then know where to point the finger". It also very interesting to note that Dave Brailsford has in his internal review of the club rumoured to have spoken with past Utd managers to understand why they failed to turn around Utds fortunes. From the manner in which Ratcliffe and his team are moving, things can only get better. Man Utd fans if they are honest to themselves have to accept that a large majority of the players that we have at the club are simply not good enough or not committed enough to the club.
