Interesting.. yes it definitely makes sense for the miles you are doing, but, will you hate it after a month and be trading it for a diesel or something? Will be interesting to see what happens.
Probably terrible residual value so actually not cheap . Better options out there
No he bought that 72 reg eqe300 premium plus at a huge discount. They are worth 90k out the showroom. 1.5 years old with 5k miles he paid 50k . Thats when you want to buy a car like this

I got given a eqe 300 as a courtesy car when my c63s was in having a minor issue sorted the only thing good about it was the interior ambient lighting and the new up to date tech that's it I honestly couldn't wait to give it back
Nice car as long as you have plug in at home. Fast charging networks apparently cost close to what it costs to use petrol or diesel.

Makes complete sense to me! Why spend 60 pounds a day of the business's money if you can charge from home. There are also the tax benefits to consider.

Well Archie it will be interesting to see how you find it to live with. I suppose you will be charging it at work so you will be aware of the cost per KW hour. One of the things about EVs is the charging stations don't advertise their prices like petrol stations. It is very questionable about how planet friendly they are because of all the rare earth metal mining for batteries and extra weight. Then there is the cost in terms of end of life recycling. One thing for sure is they are good for clean air in built up areas. Will be an interesting exercise at the end of ownership to find out how financially sound it was including depreciation. Only reason I think your mental is the depreciation of the thing, you might save on travel costs but that car like the taycan is a sinking ship!
Probably a lease against the business for tax breaks which these are ideal for. Cheap to run and won't care about depreciation.

Why not just get a run of mill Tesla model 3 long range? Must be alot cheaper than the Merc, more range etc especially if just a business tool.

Nice car. But for reference Porsche has brought out the latest Taycan which is full of latest tech and improvements including increased performance and range. I see one comment saying an EV no good for your views🤔. But many of an EV channel out there with enormous followings. So actually having both EV and ICE makes sense.
