    • I caught my first alligator gar in the 140-150 range in the red river. The amount of people that regularly fished there and live in north Texas that had no idea they were there is astonishing. I had to argue with people that I caught it in the red and not in Dallas or Houston.

    • It did initially, but what I've found is that with a lot of fish, they will match the level of pressure you put on them. If you can lead a fish around without pulling too hard, often times they will lower their level of resistance.
