@@fukkyoutube I saw that. Even if Dax is a “car guy”, the reason Top gear with Clarkson, Hammond and May worked so well was their friendship built over years. That cannot be forced... I liked Tanner Faust, great driver like Chris Harris but what about the friendship; was not as good. The current U.K. version is okay at best, the previous presenters were okay at best. Not a match to the original, but then, what is?

@Rene Stanneveld I agree. I can appreciate that they're having fun and attracting interest in cars but it gets boring. I like it when they manage to give unloved cars a new home, but they certainly didn't do that in the most recent series.
@Rene StanneveldUnfortunately I would have to agree! Skip all the scripted crap and fake drama, and you have a watchable show. Season 1 was fine for a first try, but Season 2 and 3 were just unbearable! I know Top Gear was also scripted, but at least the hosts were funny and acted naturally. But hey, maybe season 4 will be better who knows.

And Freddie/Ed having zero skill behind the wheel and no knowledge to be an automotive journalist. It has now become washed up. I like the fact that Tyler keeps putting old rollers out there for content; the constant reminders not to buy one, and the consequent reduction of stress, will probably extend my lifespan by a few years.

I love Car Trek but I have to say 3 was my least favorite. As a car lovie I didn't really enjoy just tearing up and destroying those cars. I get they were rough examples, but Mona was pretty good when you got it

Yes but that kinda was the spirit of top gear, like take the episode I'm guessing that they based ct3 on which was the British Leyland episode, in that episode the cars got absolutely shredded too, the proving ground tests literally had a door come off of Jeremy's rover SD1 not to mention the biblical sounds that Hammonds dolomite sprint would make going down the road, in the spirit all the cars that ct3 had were known for exploding in the owners face and they were making a point of that, plus I finally got to see what happens to a rolls when it finally does loose literally all of its mineral oil and that was such a fun scene to watch it love tap the Maserati only to then just start rolling backwards.
It’s so tragic that those S8s are so unreliable cause they’re such beautiful cars

A buddy of mine up here in north atlanta has a 2017 s8 thats pushing around 900hp and hes never had issues with it and dailys it german cars are hit or miss🤷🏼♂️

My four-year-old granddaughter loves the Christmas episodes. She has watched them several times. Her favorite cars are any red sports cars (especially Ferraris or Lamborghinis). I recently took her to a car dealership and she pointed at a red C8 and said, “Hey grandpa let’s buy that one”.
Has to be a cartrek at Christmas I mean the gifts in the car gag just never gets old. Old chamberpots, bongos, wooden Indians, deer heads the list is endless of funny stuff to poke out the sunroof.

Just finished watching all of CT-4. Really great to hear about the location of the other CT stars.
My favorite has to be the S8, i love Audis. But great love for Mona as well, and the colombia vanquish.
Mona was amazing, she got anilated and yet still kept soldering on even with that annoying microwave beep, my favorite was the CL mostly cause it was the fly under the radar car, you don't expect a big boat Mercedes to be quick, like the Aston, and the Maserati couple you expect them to be fast, but the merc that's like grandma's car. The audi i kinda really hate, it's so horrible in reliability, but on paper it sounds so good, a large German sedan powered by a lambo v10 sound lovely then you drive it and it just freaks out and commits electric suicide, like audi can make good decently reliable cars they are freaking owned by vw they know how to make good cars so what the hell happened, how did an Italian company that has gone bankrupt and get brought back to life from every company like Ferrari, Chrysler and fiat beat that audi into the ground even with a broken nose, bent and exploded radiator.

Great vid. I was wondering. BTW: I noticed a Toyota 4runner in your road shot of Death Valley. I can only assume that was your support vehicle as I can't imagine traffic grouping up in Death Valley. If so, that says to me that you are smart. With THAT fleet, you did need at least 1 vehicle that would be reliable, capable and even comfortable. The 4runner at the very least, would survive. It also screams taste. I think the 4runner is the best looking traditional SUV sold in the US.

2:27 do not buy that gold gallardo. I bought a car from that dealership and they are all lemons. The Hummer I bought had a bent frame and was re-welded, the roof leaked, it was a disaster.

Car Trek is second only to The Grand Tour... and not by a lot. This video is an example of one reason why--when the cars are the stars as much as the hosts, that we the fans actually care about them. RIP S8. p.s. I loved how Freddie decided to immediately depreciate his supercar even more, which may be taking the theme a little too far, but made for a really entertaining show.

What I found digging around on the internet was that 134° F is the highest ever recorded temperature on earth. It was, however, first achieved on 7-10-1913 at Greenland Ranch in Death Valley. A tie, but damn that would suck. a lot of vehicles couldn't handle that. It would be interesting to see one of every production vehicle available subjected to that driving at the speed limit for something like 4 hours - death of the vehicle, whichever comes first.

You guys are better than top gear. Well ok better than everyone to do it after Clarkson, May and Hammond. My only complaint would be it should have a dedicated channel it’s on. Maybe it is and I’ve missed it. But seems like it’s all over the place.. Car trek KZhead channel??

Mona was pretty cool until you treed it. I think the yellow 360 was my favorite. Turns out the car Ninja sorted it out for very little money and it turned out to be a pretty good bet.
