  • Guys did a good job. I have worked with different companies providing UD training. Some companies don’t provide enough training and the proper tools to properly make these terminations. My experience has taught me that some of the less experienced think that if it holds upon energizing everything is ok. They do not know or realize that improper termination of medium voltage cables with the proper tools will eventually fail prematurely. I came up with I company that provided the training that taught us why we take all the proper steps in UD terminations and the proper tools. While providing training most of those that didn’t follow each step required by manufacturers just didn’t know. Most these guys want to do it right

  • The craftsmanship is very skilled. For future inspection and maintenance, I feel that if the three-color tape is wrapped on the wiring cable to separate the phases, and whether the phase sequence is marked on the cabinet body will be clearer to the staff.

    @mingyitan6388@mingyitan6388 Жыл бұрын
    • No. Phase sequence is not determined by the body of the transformer. Phase sequence is determined by the actual phase of the voltage on the cables. You can actually change the order of the cables connected to the transformer and as long as the output cables are also correspondingly changed, everything is good. So the correct way to indicate the phase of the electricity is to mark the cables first and foremost. You cannot not do that. It must be done.

      @LordLorenzo834@LordLorenzo8346 ай бұрын
    • @@LordLorenzo834 It was well over 30 years ago and I was not actually making the connections but an observer apprentice, Working with MCM1000 AL they had specialized strippers that cut 95% through the plastic rolling it in a circle with end cutter set to the same to cut down the length of the cable so the plastic would easily peel off leaving the AL completely unscathed. The thing about AL is once you score a strand it creates a fracture point when you crank it down in the lug and the strands distort, it can cause strands to fracture/break completely through. AL it brittle like that. Of course you must also use Noalox as I recall.

    • Seriously! I built a few load breaks as well. Yes i saw a couple things i would do different but the teamwork housekeeping and attention to detail was pretty damn good. What stood out to me was when my man filed any burrs off lug after crimping. R That spoke volumes. I was trained by 3m and ive had to build these things in nasty paper mills and pwr plants. These guys are better than most of the shit sticks I left behind in contracting. I say if it passed high pot test and im sure it did then good job.

    @ZloySok@ZloySok Жыл бұрын
    • Это высоковольтка там и не нужно большое сечение, там токи очень маленькие, а вот 0.4кВ уже нужно больше сечение из-за тока

      @Grishagin1997@Grishagin1997 Жыл бұрын
    • Сечение выбирают исходя из патерь. На длинной линии прийдется переразмерить сечение что бы снизить потери. Иначе ПБВ не хватит и напряжение будет сильно зависить он нагрузки. А гужоны в изоляторах бывают разными здесь видно что тр-р не сильно мощный.

      @legendarniyMichail@legendarniyMichail Жыл бұрын
    • Да многое странно! Зачем высокую сторону подключать таким большим сечением провода?, если исходя из расмеров тр-ра, то его мощность не так велика. Еще обратил внимание, что когда закроется крышка, то клеммы окажутся совсем рядом с нею. А заглушки на клемах, это так себе... всёже 14 кВ.

  • Hello! If I understand correctly, you work in oil production. Are you connecting a control station and a step-up transformer? If yes, then compliance with safety regulations is at a low level ... You work at least - without a protective helmet, goggles and gloves...

    • If you want right, you better watch other channels, like jointech cabling. As for the issues: They didn't apply the proper torque spec in the end and they scored the conductor, as you can clearly see around the 9 minute mark.

  • Crimping the terminal directly on the insulator is an unnecessary risk in my opinion ... it could break !!! for the rest, great manual skills, word of an electrical technician

    • @@blackviper7754 Yes I am an electrical technician and I have worked with terminals up to 30KV I have never crimped directly on the insulator above all in glass or porcelain where breakage is at high risk

    • @paolo D'Olimpio - I thought the same thing. I’ve seen plenty of cracked bushings cause ground faults, spectacularly.
