On Earth-838, Doctor Strange is brought forth before the Illuminati for his trial, consisting of Baron Mordo, Captain Peggy Carter, Blackagar Boltagon, Captain Maria Rambeau, Reed Richards, and Professor Charles Xavier.
Meanwhile, on Mount Wundagore, the Scarlet Witch uses the castle's power to dreamwalk back into her Earth-838 self and raid the Illuminati Headquarters in search of America Chavez. Before they can vote to execute Doctor Strange, Captain Carter, Black Bolt, Captain Marvel, and Richards leave to respond, but Wanda easily slays them. As far as they know from their Universe's Wanda: her only power is telekinesis. I don't see why they should expect her to warp reality, and It makes perfect sense for them to use Black Bolt's voice as a threat to get her to surrender. No clue wtf Reed thought his stretchy arm was going to do after he saw what she did to Black Bolt though; guess you gotta try something.

As soon as you give someone absurdly omnipotent powers like "What mouth?" (the mouth vanishes), there is no fight. The character can just do a "What brain?" or "What heart?" instant deletion of any other character's vital organs, and the fight is over in a single blink of an eye.
Wich is exactly why this scene and movie and character as well is complete trash, i almost walked out the theater lol what a terrible movie.

That's Scarlet Witch's well-known stint in the comics, and it's her signature power. That's why her character is not built through "I want to help, I want to be a hero" or "I want to conquer the world" villain. Her whole thing is her love for her kids and family, and to settle with them.

What ticks me off the most is not even Mr. Fantastically Stupid, but the fact that Black Bolt is suppossed to be stoic and extremelly self controlled because a little whisper can literally blow away a chunk of the planet. And here he literally just panics and dies. This movie was such let down. Casting Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier just to kill him unceremonioussly is also a massive disrespect I can't forgive.

Reed Richards did. He lost his temper when Black Bolt auto-destructed and then he threw a punch. What he expected it to do was another question entirely. Wanda shredded him into ever smaller rubber bands until he was past recovery. Very imaginative of her.

What most annoys me most about this scene is that Reed Richards best ability is his genius. They had him go into to the fight with no apparent plan, relatively impulsive and not assessing his foe first. I realise that they had to have Wanda win the scene but they could have avoided making Richards look like a complete doofus.

I think its meant to show how they underestimated Wanda thinking she's just their Wanda, the woman with telekinesis in their world. They never knew how powerful Scarlet Witch is and it showed how unprepared they are. I guess no matter how genius Richards is, he will never measure Scarlet Witch's power, even doctor strange admitted she surpassed him.

its very weird...she mainly uses her hex bolts which have the power to do basically anything. But she mainly just uses it for launching around opponents. She was intensely trained for years to be an avenger by captain America and black widow and hit extremely hard with those bolts along w combining that with auto shields.
I mean why not just warp all of them into something than fight them, warp Doctor Strange as well. The fight in Kamar Taj she could literally just warp them all into something. This is the problem with these types of reality warping powers in movies, like they can do that but then again not use much just so they can make more scene for the movie, which is bs if you think about it.
I think it's clear that they did it to show off the two female members (Peggy Carter & Monica Rambeau); massive coincidence otherwise. The only character she should've had any trouble with was Xavier who caught her off guard, and _maybe_ Monica Rambeau because she decided to not try using reality warping, mind control, or really anything other than telekinesis.

As underwhelming as this films plot was, the horror elements were pleasantly surprising. Professor X’s murder was quite unexpected and gruesome

I'm not being one of those types but that was one of the most obvious things ever, especially with how they were already going about the movie with one generic "shock death" after another, literally predicted oh she gonna come behind him now and snap his neck, and then they didn't "subvert expectations" and did exactly that lol.
Killing the greatest minds so quick and easy felt so cheap and insulting. I love the character of Charles Xavier and believe in his powers. He should never be reduced to a walk-on role

@@ilovedogs2642 "Normal" Jean Grey's initial omega level mutant transformation is Phoenix, it's the dark cosmic entity that overcame her that brought her to become Dark Phoenix and when it's in control it's know as the "Dark" version....both are devastating but the Dark version was a danger to the universe, and hence why in the OG story Jean took her own life. The mutants tried to dampen it at one point with a psychic barrier but the entity was too strong and over time both fought for control over Jean. When Erik and Charles went to first meet Jean, Charles warned everyone they were about to encounter their first LVL 5 potential mutant student/candidate, and he was not wrong. If the MCU ever unleashed Scarlet's and Phoenix's true versions, they'd be rivals no one. Unstoppable. Unformidable.

I love the way the heroes all stupidly warn the bad guy they already know is a cold-blooded kill, then stand around for her to kill them all one by one. That's why I'm glad when she kills them all when they're that stupid so they won't procreate. What they should have done was to all unleashed everything they had all at once the moment she walked through the door. She couldn't focus on repelling all of them at the same time. Each one was capable of a lethal hit and it would only have needed to be one that got through.
Honestly, Professor X didn't even need to show himself. He could've linked their minds and they would've been an awesome team. I'm guessing that's what they did to defeat Thanos.

And comparing her to 838 Strange who had dreamwalked and caused an incursion which annihilated an entire universe, the biggest threat to them was Strange not Wanda.

This follows my long held theory that Scarlet Witch is by far the most powerful Avenger. She literally would have killed Thanos if Thanos didn't create a distration at the last moment. Scarlet Witch was able to destroy a literal Infinity Stone from one hand while holding Thanos back when he had all the other stones on his gauntlet. Point blank, the witch is the strongest Avenger.
She wasn't as powerful then ... but she studied the book so now she reached her full potential

It seems to have thought her how to control her powers much better as well as possibly teaching her new aspects of her powers she may have not been aware of before. Like instant reality manipulation (erasing black bolt’s mouth and shredding Richards like cheese). She had done something similar to her environment and those around her in Wandavision, but I can’t remember her using this ability in battle before. Imagine her using this against Ultron or Thanos, shredding them to pieces in a second. Another ability she seems to have improved on is her psychic abilities, being able to defeat the most powerful telepath in the mind realm.

It's not underrated in the slightest lol, if anything it's overrated. Every comments section I go into on a video involving Wanda in some way is bombarded with "what (insert your own word)" jokes, honestly it's like the Morbin time jokes in that it was funny at first but people have done it so much I'm just getting tired of seeing it. Yeah it was definitely a what the heck moment but I feel it's been memed on just a little too much at this point.
I loved cheering for the Scarlet Witch in this scene. I find it such a shame that Fiege thought Scarlet Witch couldn't carry a blockbuster movie on her own and felt she needed a Dr Strange supporting role.
Marvel is guaranteed loosing Olsen if they don’t announce a solo project by Comic-Con. Feige better realise that because with 20% of Strange’s screen time in total Wanda was the only compelling, engaging & best acted out of the entire cast even with the worst one dimensional writing & still a year later the only character anyone talks about. Fact is the majority of the fandom dislikes the film, camoes leaked a week before release online everywhere and still almost made a billion dollars wasn’t because of Benedict.

This scene is hilarious. The have "The Smartest Man Alive" who completely disregards Wanda's reality warping capabilities when Strange says "you can't stop her". Then proceeds to tell her Black Bolts power... "What mouth?" 😂🤣.

I think ur misunderstanding, 616 wanda dreamwalked into 838 Wanda, taking her under her control to get to strange and take America. Xavier went into Wanda’s mind and found 838 Wanda (who clearly has her conscious out somewhere else while 616 Wanda took control) and almost helped her escape 616 Wanda but Xavier was killed before then. There is no “real Wanda” or “fake Wanda”. And let’s say 838 Wanda did get saved, 616 Wanda could simply just dreamwalk back into 838 Wanda and continue. There was no saving anyone.
That's not what that was. That was THAT universe's Wanda. Xavier thought if he could pull her out, the dream walking Wanda's dreamwalk spell would be broken.

The dumbest part is if Wanda wanted to just get her kids back...couldn't she of asked America to try and find her a universe where Vision and their kids were alive but not her?
Wanda basically wanted americas powers so that not only she could get to her children, but so she could also resort to exploring other universes for cures or resolutions for any problems regarding her children. She wanted americas powers for more than just getting to her boys, and rather to keep them alive and well forever
That's not going to work because Wanda is a nexus being, meaning she exists in every universe and every version of herself has the same powers or potential to have the same powers. Hence there is no universe where she is dead by Vision and her kids are alive.

The entire point of the multiverse is that for every event that happens in 1 universe a different outcome happens in another so shouldn't there be a multiverse where Wanda died say sacrificing herself against Agatha and Vision and their children survived?

Unpopular opinion: I think Reed told Wanda what Bolt can do to serve as a warning for her to stand down. Also, the Illuminati probably didn't want to kill Wanda because they may know that she is actually another Wanda who is possessed by our Wanda. That makes Reed not the smartest man alive, but just a smart man that was briefly alive.
How do you not know the reason? It's literally in the movie. He tries to talk Wanda down before telling her about Black Bolt. The video cuts that entire scene, and it makes me think you've never even watched the movie. So why are you even hypothesizing about something that is already known?

That's because Captain Carter reminds Wanda of Steve Rogers she also knows how important Peggy is to Steve even Peggy suit look like Captain Americas suit which is why Wanda "said have you had enough" she tried giving Peggy a chance to surrender but she refused as for Captain marvel if you were paying attention wasn't a hard fight for her at all.

Well except for the woman that wants a child, they make her into a raving psychopath (Scarlett Witch). This is a blatant knock on women that want and have children. This movie implies that women that want children and families are at heart psychos. Let that sink in. They could have and should have made her the hero for wanting that. It would have been a 10x better movie.
The rest of this movie was garbáge but the 0:53 bit with Black Bolt keeps getting funnier every time I see it. It's something I'd expect to see in a Looney Tunes cartoon. "What mouth?" **faintly audible scream** **BOOM**
This is why i feel that music is often a detriment. Without it this scene feels so much harder and wrenching.
