Just back from fishing for cat fish probably caught 20 between me and my friend. Honestly North Carolina is one of the best sates especially because it’s has great hunting and fishing and I go up there to hunt myself. Going up this afternoon because my Granpa lives and the sticks and needs help😁

Hey I’m a paleontology nerd and just going to put this out there for those who are curious. Gar, while they have been around for a very long time aren’t dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are a group of archosaurs. Pterosaurs and crocodilians are a close relatives and also archosaurs but are not dinosaurs. Birds are in fact dinosaurs though. Not relatives but full on descendants and belong to the theropods.

Dogfish and garpike is what we caught for fun in the summers of Michigan. We used steel wool on the hook for the garpike. It's about50% catch rate because they get their teeth all tangled up
