Here is my current workflow for creating anime styled eyes in Blender. This is part of a full character creation in Blender, see the playlist for the other parts.
0:10 - Eyeball Mesh
2:22 - Eyeball Texture in Photoshop
6:56 - Eyeball Texture to Blender
8:25 - Eyeball Shadow
10:25 - Eyelashes
15:52 - Eyelid Creases, Eyebrows
17:20 - Reflection Highlights (if you didn't include them in the texture)
btw sorry for the excessive "physics" lmao, still have to fine tune it in unity

The best blender anime channel on YT so far. Seriously underrated. Can you please shed more light on eye lids, overall shapekeys and animation of eyes + head (as shown in the demo file runing alongside). That would be amazing. Keep up the good work sir
I will soon
Thank you for keeping this simple and sweet. Just enough help to give a good base to get creative with!
Nice! Excited to see how you approach making hair!
Dude you are seriously underrated, great tutorial
Thank you for showing such useful video material for free, it is extremely helpful
This is the best and most understandable eye tutorial I have ever had the pleasure to watch. There is no possible way i could misunderstand anything while trying to replicate this process later, and it's so freaking good dude. Man. I don't know if i could ever than you enough at this point. When i can get some money from my Blender work in the future, I will be sure to remember you and send you something.
Amazing tutorial, thank you for sharing
Dude your videos are so damn informative and are like a goldmine for aspiring 3D animators like me, you're without a doubt one of the most underrated 3D modelers on KZhead. Keep it up, your videos are incredible!
tHANK YOU FOR THIS TUTORIAL, IT WAS VERY WELL, its soo dope
you can also make eye balls, and then just shinkwrap the textured iris part onto that eye. Had to make agoblin with rings for eyes and needed a way for them to stick on his head but still able to move
SO NICE
Thanks for the tutorial
thankyou sensei!
Thank you for this tutorial I’m trying to make a bonelab mod and I just got blender and I’m so confused but this helps a lot
thanks for the tutorial, though a bit curious on why you don't use the shrink wrap modifire on the eyelashes instead of moving the vertices one by one
it was useful
Thanks for this as while I am making more of a figure type of model I’ve been experimenting with what eyes would work for me mainly cause I am making my character to be multipurpose and I was wondering Why do anime vtuber models have floating eyes like that as I am just curious as a 3d modeler who doesn’t have any capture software
Thank you for the great tutorial. Can you please share how you made your animated talking avatar? I mean, not the model, but that she is moving and talking
Very awesome tutorial. Idk why it took me until now to model the eyebrows and eyelashes separate from the face ;-; Its such a duh moment. Shapekeys and deformations are going to be 100x easier now. I may have missed it, but did you adjust the normals for the iris and eye cages? If so did you set them to the same front-facing normal that you used for the majority of the face?
Thanks. The whites of the eye and iris should use the front facing normal yes. The sclera shadow, iris highlights and eyebrows on the other hand are usually unlit. I'll probably go over this more in the future.
At 13:33 instead of creating a double loop cut to add depth, wouldn't it be better to just add a solidify modifier? Btw great video man it was real easy to understand/follow along
Hi! Are you streaming with FaceRig or something else? Can you please show the process of creating, animating and importing the model into your program so that it works? Thank you very much in advance
There is a moment where the eyes become a total nightmare fuel
What does reset vectors do? Never heard of that function
How do you stream with that character? Are you using VRM and create blendshap yourself?
yes, VRM with blendshapes i made. it's in Unity receiving data from VSeeFace
Now you see, I'm familiar with the blender tool set, but photoshop is a black box to me. Who knew that would be my hang up.
Bruh same, and I did very similiar thing in paint 3d in like 10 mins
is this transferable to unity?
How to bake textures?
I really want to know how your rigged the mouth.
We will cover this too
on 8:20 i cant unwrap can someone help me?
Try: 1. Select the eye vertices on the right window, 2. Left click inside the UV editing window 3. press A to select the vertices (see how the bottom left corner in the UV editing window turns orange at 8:10), then you should be able to Unwrap
What the a dude as anime girl?
So cursed.
Yes
Just like most v tuber
No not really @@rajabwali3373
Auto rig pro cant rig these 2d eyes doesn't move
