I think they had a no SW house rule that some players forgot about and had to be reminded mid-match, notice how when the SW's go down there's no attack marker on the minimap.

1) Not contesting the middle supplies almost guaranteed Cloud and Magno would win through economy boom. 2) Aqulex was still attacking Sherp after Sherp's teammate died. 3) Turtling never seems like a good idea against USA with their amazing AoE general powers.
Thats what I was thinking. Against USA players you have to be aggressive early and often, sitting back is just asking to be stomped.
Those things you both mentioned + USA is the only team in Generals that is actually good at turtling, both GLA and China have flaws in their general defensive capabilities in the long run that makes turtling a far inferior option to offence. IE, China can turtle effectively with superior numbers, but why would you not just press the offence if you have the numbers. GLA is great at hit n’run, which doesn’t work all too well when you’re the one being hit with littke room to fall back to.
Props to Mango for constantly defending against attacks from Aetherius and managing to provide air support for Cloud.

Yeah little sorry I messed it up that game. Was the first one I had to play china and gen Evo online in general. Still fun match. The second one that day was way more fun tho 😅👍

That was a great teamwork from Espiritu and Cloud. Spirit providing great support and sacrifice for cloud while he is amassing his troops, but 966665 and Sherp do put up a very good fight. The china and gla team though was too complacent and they don't show proper teamwork, their attacks lacks focus and priority.
i think sherp had the numbers but he wasted sooo many units on some occasions...i think his macro is really solid but his offensive decisions are lacking! and the dark red gla had some VERY good sneak attacks. mango would have dominated even more if not for those tunnel network attacks.
@@Skilez the big issue I had this match was trying to keep the numbers guy in the match while also being harassed by firestorm migs / iron dragons + trying to pressure mid to hope cloud dedicates some of his forces to me to ease pressure. Each time I had forces built up I couldn't dedicate too much on one front.
@@ThisIsSherp yeah you had a very rough time there. probably the hardest in the entire match. i think if the red team would have coordinated their attacks more instead of splitting their attention this match could have gone in your team's favor easily. but tbh, cloud and mango really played their A game here ;-) I am a big fan of gen evo atm and you are definitly one of the best players i have seen so far! so keep gaming and i will continue watching and learning from you and the others. great to be able to see some generals matches again after all those years.

I was rooting for Sherp and 966665 the whole time, they put up a very good fight but They were getting ganged up on by both teams. An entertaining match nonetheless and i hope for more. Keep it up sybert!

You know, I love that the laser turret is basically the plasma turret from the Terminator franchise (seen on HK-Tanks/Aerials/rifles).
Aqulex had so many tanks and then he just threw them away in one terribly coordinated attack that didn't achieve anything. He should have just put nuke canons on the hill and positioned Overloards to the front. Then just let Cloud enter the meatgrinder as he defends everything nicely and wipes out the incoming attack with his 3 airfields of migs. I have no idea how he managed to lose that. He just sent all of his tanks in single file to get killed for no reason.

the BASICS of C&C , dont build buildings next to each other or at least important ones . places 3 airfields in a line , 6 migs and 2 airfields taken out with 1 warthog attack lol
There was an interesting difference between Spiritual Mango and Aqulex there, if you look at Mango's base, the Raptors, Auroras and Nightawks were circling in the air; the migs were on the ground.
@@NiiRubra Aqulex's migs had only seconds ago just done a bombing run which is why they were landed.
What was the deal with Aqulex? He was playing China, one of if not the most aggression oriented factions in the game but instead chose to play cautiously and build a paltry amount of units. Not to mention as far as I saw he was only running 1 war factory. Half his base was taken over by Aetherius as well.
Funny little facts I have found: Laser Rangers, Laser Humvees and Laser Sentries don't really have a stat difference from their non-laser conterparts. They do the same amount of damage as non-laser ones. The only edge Laser Humvees have is that their laser cannons don't need the TOW upgrade, so you can get more humvees for an early-game rush, and being laser cannons they cannot be intercepted or deflected. As for Rangers and Sentries, their laser effect is purely cosmetic.
And they have the downside of depending on power.

Felt like the upper-left team is not cooperating very well, spending too many time on 1v1 or 1v2 game, they could have break into Spiritumagno's base but most of GLA's attempts were alone.
Look up Chinese player air unit just hangout and never go middle make me feel anoying but that synergy from usa player was great
Is it me or USA have too much firepower? I mean they have 3 types of battle tanks and pretty much all of their support powers are offensive for a defensive faction. There is a reason why the Mammoth tank was cancelled.
That is why regular generals is still relevant. It limits the US ground force.
Way to much turtling for my taste really only one team waa actually really being proactive
Maybe that’s why they won lol I’m sure players will take notice and play a bit more aggressive.
Can people remember who is who in matches? I NEVER remember the names when it's more than a 1v1. All i hear is "(random name) is struggling to fight off (random name)'s troops, while (random name) is building up an army to take on (random name)".
Honestly it gets easier with time pretty much the same with any sport some names come up often enought you identefiy them easily and fast
Anywhere to get RA3 for cheap? its like $20-25 everywhere atm lol. Only seen this mod in a the last few days, and I absolutely love Generals ZH back in the day.
Goes on sale on Steam and Origin for $5 a couple times a year. It will probably be on sale for the Summer/July 4 sale that is upcoming.

Watching Aqulex/Aetherius was extremely painful - lets fight 1v2 on two different fronts all game and eventually it should equal success right? Let me keep building an army and attack moving to the right, one day it will kill my opponent right? Let me never support my teammate other than once late game with a mig strike, cuz he can kill the guy next to him alone right? Like wtf...game sense was non-existent - but I understand we're not watching pro's here or anything so hopefully they learned a thing or two.
