Seeing those two cops on horseback @ 12:22 reminded me of an encounter I had with an officer riding a horse. Let me explain. As I stated in my previous comment, I live in St. Louis, MO. Many years ago, I was in the neighboring city of St. Charles. It was the downtown district with many small shops and brick-paved roads near the Mississippi River. With it being a cool crisp day I had my window rolled down. While at a stop sign, a cop on horseback comes up beside me. Next thing I know I am gasping for air. The officer leaned over and asked me if everything was O.K. I responded "No. Your horse just farted." While laughing, the cop pats the horse on the head and says "Good boy." I then asked the officer, "Are horse farts the new way of fighting crime?"

That actually DOES look like it is set up to be a "Zip Merge lane" where you are REQUIRED BY LAW to go to the cones to merge and merging is SUPPOSED to be 1:1. For that reason, they do NOT put up markers stating "Right lane ends in X feet"...because they actually expect traffic t work properly. Technically--I'd not do it that way, if I knew that lane was ending (like it had been like that for a day or two...)

Re Porsche. A friend asked me to drive their Porsche to a service station. I had to take the freeway to get there. The speed limit was 100 kms, I honestly thought i was doing 60 miles an hour or 100 kmh. I was way wrong. Yup, i was driving 100 MPH. Porsches are frighteningly gluey to the road. That actually DOES look like it is set up to be a "Zip Merge lane" where you are REQUIRED BY LAW to go to the cones to merge and merging is SUPPOSED to be 1:1. For that reason, they do NOT put up markers stating "Right lane ends in X feet"...because they actually expect traffic t work properly. Technically--I'd not do it that way, if I knew that lane was ending (like it had been like that for a day or two...)

Here in germany it is also the rule to drive until the end of the lane and then merge one by one. During the rushhour, than the experienced drivers are on the way it works perfectly.

I live in St Louis, MO. The guy @ 9:16 is something that most drivers I see do quite regularly around here. I have seen some come damn near the middle of the intersection thinking that the light will change more quickly.
The one with the white car just pulling left out into traffic is here. And the driveway is the Walmart parking lot, and it happens often there. I had to swerve into oncoming a few times from people just gunning it out that entrance. Also the one before that is Sportsworld drive, another crazy road.

3:20 this happened to me a couple days ago someone was pulling out of a parking lot and did not see me being right there on the main road. Luckily no one was in the other lane so I was able to swerve around their car and avoid any collision

Re Porsche. A friend asked me to drive their Porsche to a service station. I had to take the freeway to get there. The speed limit was 100 kms, I honestly thought i was doing 60 miles an hour or 100 kmh. I was way wrong. Yup, i was driving 100 MPH. Porsches are frighteningly gluey to the road. (Took me all of 10 minutes to figure out it was not go slow day.)
