i'm convinced the primary goal of a vertiberd pilot is to just crash and die while maximizing the amount of casualties as humanly possible in the crash

Chances are that wasn't the intent rather it couldn't effectively get a position to provide close air support and since they were hitting the vertibird harshly the vessel just couldn't handle anymore

Yeah vertiberds definitely need a buff in the series lol. Maybe resistance to all non-explosive weapons could save them from dying so easily.
@@zenixkiryuIf they ever make Fallout 5, they should make them mini-bosses where they’re immune to everything except destructible buildings or explosives.
This is what Fallout 4 needed. More large scale battles between the Major factions but neither side actually winning until the Player joins a faction in-game.
It would probably be too performance heavy, and not make sense as the factions in fo4 don’t have many reasons for large scale conflicts, they won’t just muster large armies randomly to go fight in the middle of nowhere, the bos has needs a major plot point (liberty prime) and player knowledge to even try to find the institute, let alone their plans, the institute probably wouldn’t send a small army to attack three knights in a vertibird. The minutemen are a militia force and the railroad is a covert organization. It would be pretty cool though
there's a mod in FO4 called "War of the Commonwealth". It makes so every often you'll encounter large scale battles between factions out in the wasteland

All Maxson needed was Liberty Prime anyway. Everyone else was just a support role. That's the jist of the game as well.
Really its the other way around. The Institute never posed a real military threat to The Brotherhood. The Brotherhood just needed Liberty Prime in order to gain access to The Institute, then The Institute was done for. Liberty Prime was the support role.

Maybe you didn't play as the institute when they destroyed the BOS?
@@thatgreenguy3969 Liberty Prime wasn't active and the BoS was mid prep work. Not to mention the Sole Survivor leading the attack is what gave the Institute the edge. When it comes down to it, in a straight up fight the BoS typically wins every fight (East Coast I should say...West ehh they're barely alive, which the Courier saving them is canon) the only real threat they faced was the Enclave and it didn't help that Lyon's BoS was divided. The Outcasts took a HUGE chunk of man power and tech away from the original group. Maxon's lead is what strengthened the Eastern BoS past what it was when they first arrived (Liberty Prime aside).

The Institute had a virtually unlimited army and home team advantage, could teleport in bombs to anywhere in the Commonwealth, while the Brotherhood had a stronghold with no supply lines and no reinforcements.
I was actually surprised how small the Bos base was they only stayed in the terminal part of the air port it be cool if they’d walled off more of the airport and used that parking garage and barn
You can find them around the map protecting places they conquered like Jamaica Plains.

The Prydwen is their mobile base. I think of the airport as a staging area for their ground operations.
Well they got their BoS HQ somewhere else, the Prydwen was their mobile base, with the airport being their forward operation base. I think it's possible that it could be bigger some time later with the help of the protagonist if chooses to stick with BoS and their HQ sending more troops.
It wasn't a base it's a f.o.b forward operating base . ( more of a staging ground to create a beach head. Think outpost .. the brother made the pyrdwin at Adam's airforce base . The brotherhoods home base in DC

Great stuff. It was great and 'cinematic' watching Kellogg walk up behind Maxson.
It's kind of fitting that Maxon is the only survivor. Now he's stranded in the Commonwealth...no help, no BoS, just him. He clearly can't sustain and support the Prydwyn just by himself, let alone fly it. Nor can he sustain Liberty Prime. Will he become a sort of raider? Try to make it back to Washington by himself? Spend time looking for any potential BoS soldiers that may have survived? Will the Institute send courser assassins after him? 🤔 Love it!
It's possible some soldiers may have survived and if this was just a chapter of the Brotherhood It's possible he could send Some kind of distress call And maybe get some reinforcements from other Places in the world, he could also recruit new people himself. Besides, the airport is still standing so he has a base.
I think it would make sense for him to work with the minutemen, as they would be the closest thing to what he knows. Hed definitely works towards getting the brotherhood back, but untill then
He wouldn't last long. The institute would be making a clone in short order and he'd be in a cage under the college.

I really enjoy these. It be really cool if you ever do these with mods. Like say a rematch of the Gunners vs the Minutemen, but this time with the Militarized Minute man mod(lore wise could be the male Sole Survivor due to their army background) Like a Quincy 2.0 or something.
Theres actually a minutemen vs gunners creation on the creation club, i havent played it tho so but im guessing it wont be as grand as this lol

Just a side note, if you really want to PLAY a Minuteman VS Gunners experience, go download Sim Settlements 2. It's like a whole new campaign for the game, and the final chapter of the story ("Last Stand of the Commonwealth") kicks off The Gunner War. There are some pretty huge Gunner VS Commonwealth battles in that mod, and you can even lead your own soldiers into skirmishes

Hope Fallout 5 is a longer edition to the Fallout franchise and we get better armour and can actually drive tanks and jeeps brilliant game all round well made guys

@Sauccymf eh, we're operating under the assumption that the minutemen would all still be stock using Lazer muskets. lol if they recaptured the fort and were rebuilding, they'd be upgrading their arsenal for sure

I feel like the Institute with all that technology at their disposal could’ve build something bigger and better than liberty prime.
So they ever give an in-universe reason why the Institute wasn't making Gen III Synth soldiers? I mean they're clearly not hurting for resources, and they'd probably hold up a lot better than the Gen IIs. They'd basically be Clone Troopers from Star Wars.
Very nicely done! I di not know I needed to see war between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Synths but it was very epic! Of course they did not use LP as early as possible but as late as possible (btw, using a doomsday device at the latest possible time instead of as early as possible is what villains always do in movies. Not that I want to imply that the Brotherhood of Steel are the villains, they might be though).
While the actual reason why LP isn't used right away is because there would be no war. LP would just need one nuke to vaporize the bulk of the Synths the moment they clump up into a ball. It wouldn't be much of a video then. But let have fun with the scenario. There are a few scenarios off the top of my head why LP wasn't there at the start: 1. Could be that the BoS didn't want to nuke their own base unless absolutely necessary. 2. The BoS are hoarders and value tech more than their own lives, so they didn't want to risk LP before figuring out what the Institute got. Remember, LP did get destroyed once and it took them years to fix him. 3. Most likely scenario is that this is the alternate timeline where instead of trying to hack LP (since the PC isn't involved) the Institute decided to hit the BoS first before LP is completed.

Yes, you are right, if LP would have been used right from the start then it would not have been much of an epic battle probably since LP would have nuked the synth army right away but there might have been other factors to be considered like you wrote. For example that they needed time to prepare LP or they were concerned about loosing it. Might there have been a chance even that the synths could have hacked LP or convince to change to their side? Hmm, possiblities over possibilities ....

Looks cool but a firefight on the Prydwen would last about 10 seconds before the hydrogen tanks were pierced and the whole thing went up.

This was such a great video. But we all know they'll just drop in coursers who are basically the most powerful units in Fallout 4 universe and to further it they'll use infiltration via coursers to kill their leadership.
If BoS would use more nades and fatmans the vid would last half the time ;). Keep up the good work!

There are a number of very strange decisions here. Why did the Institute only spam t2 naked synths? It would be more interesting to see more t3 synths in their faction armor. The fact you had to keep spawning synths shows how powerful the brotherhood is compared to the institute.
У института нет силовой брони. Броня синтетиков сравнима с боевой броней обычных пехотинцев. Странно, что у высокотехнологичного института не было силовой брони, пусть и облегченной. Даже у рейдеров была кустарная силовая броня.
The Synths aren't that strong to be honest. From armor to their weapons, they just kind of suck. The fact he gave some of them st the beginning rocket launchers and had to spawn the special gen 1 synths in black armor shows it was lopsided from the start. Synths do have extra protection against energy weapons though. Strangely didn't use Coursers which would have helped. An anomaly was that plasma shot/grenade going of and neither party uses plasma from what I know. But yeah no faction in game could directly fight the BoS without overwhelming numbers which none of them have. Which is why the try to destroy the Prydwen instead of sending a army which would just get slaughtered.

This proves the battle of Helios 1 correct. The BOS are mighty, but lack numbers. You need to just keep throwing bodies at them.
In this scenario, the Brotherhood wouldn't have Liberty Prime. Not only do they Dr. Li, they also need the beryllium agitator. And, without the Sole Survivor, they aren't getting either one.
I wish something like this had happened in the BOS questlines. It's weird the only time Institute attack BOS is when you're playing with them.
I think they dont really have the man/synth power for a direct attack. Powerarmor is just to powerful. A palantin BoS NPC with powerarmor usually kills their runner npcs
because realistically if the institute tried a full out assault like this theyd get decimated. Imagine HELIOS ONE but the NCR have half the men they had there against all the east coast chapters combined and defending a way more strategic location
