I think this is indeed the worst. I was competing once and the ref i had was absolute garbage. I was on the ground then hear a thump and look to my left and saw another duo rolling right beside me. Took the ref a good 15 seconds to stop us and remove the other two. Then saw another match with the same ref, half way through he just walks off. People on the scoring table were yelling to tell them to stop a good 30 seconds after he walked off to get some wipes for the mat. Absolute fucking donkey.

@@freddy4130 outside sweeps from standing are a thing. People tend to sell that they're attempting a takedown as someone pulls guard because it'll sometimes get you 2 points. That's what this guy is doing but both of them are way too spazy and aggressive
FangDSniper2nd I understand sweeps. They are typically accompanied by wrist or elbow control and an attempt to have your opponent step into them. He was tossing it out like a feint but it was connecting. That makes it a kick.

That was BS restarting when the guy had the triangle almost completely sinked in. The standard thing to do if they're going out of bounds is to restart it at the center of the mat, SAME POSITION. He could have won that match right then. I'd be frustrated, too. That girl had no business being a ref.

@@boliussa none of his sweeps were sweeps they were all basically low leg kicks, for a sweep you need to hook the ankle with your foot and pull OR pull weight off balance and remove the base with a swift drag to the lower leg while pushing the opponent off balance. All the points Red got were wrong since he didn't initiative the takedown, Black was pulling guard just falling on his butt to scoot and play open guard from the ground. The timestamp you cited is a stupid moment on Black because he didn't fall correctly and basically slammed himself on the ground but the kick Red did really wouldn't have an impact on him falling since each of those kicks were as Black as already going down pulling guard. Red was playing dirty and Black was silly for dropping his head on the mat like that.
