Hi Friends... Welcome to the Fab2ku family.
Some friends commented me to make a video of pipe bending. But I am neither a pipe fitter or an engineer. Still try did something new. You watch the video in full and coment me how it is.

Hope that’s just ornamental cos it’s no good for anything else. Cheaper, easier just to buy a 90 elbow and weld it in

Thats much too complicate, too much work: close one end of the pipe, fill in dry sand, compress often the sand and allways fill to the top, when no more sand gets in, close the other end. Now heat the pipe at that point you want to bend it. It will not kink because of the sand. Then open it again and put sand out.

- Thank you, this is a solid idea! I would only do this weld method in the video for tig practice or if for some reason im in a position that I'm forced to do this. Edit: just finished the vid. Was not expecting him to turn the pipe into a slinky, I just thought he was going to weld it until it bent into shape from the weld heat lol The method in video would take far to long, not to mention the turbulence the water would make from all the metal that got tucked into the pipe.

How would you figure out the length of paper for different diameter of pipe?

- Hi Richard. To find the length of paper needed to go around any round pipe, you measure the outside diameter of the pipe and multiply that by Pi (3.14159265...). Most people just use 3.14 as it's close enough when dealing with a tape measure. As an example, for a 4" diameter round piece, it would be 4 x 3.14 = 12.56". 12.56" is roughly 12 and 9/16". Close enough for guvment work.😉 Have a good weekend.

Just in the time it took you to prepare that tube for being bent. You could have packed it tight with sand using end caps on both ends to seal it off from sand falling out.... and bent several tubes with a bender. And used no welding rods to make a perfect structural bend

you can easily make a 90 degree bend if you you use a Roller type bender

- @@brianpatrick8441 you're the one who didn't know about it, the pipe will kink if you use push type bender that uses hydraulic jack. Ruler type bender will not kink

- Voltage ke hisab se AMP dikhata hai,,mere machine me 3.15 rod ko 120 se 130 amp ke aspas rakhta hun,,, par market ke workshop me 140 ke baad hi jalta hai,,, Apne aria ke Voltage ke hisab se 130 se 150 k aspas

Purpose is not clear. If welding is available, just cut at 45 degrees and weld it shut. The open cut grates is jarring to look. A lot of time and effort for underwhelming finish.
