  • 👏🏼👏🏼🥂. Congratulations on your 1st Bjork Experience (Bee-Yerk) 😉. Its usually hit or miss for most & Im so Enthused by ur Genuine Appreciation and Love of her work . She writes, composes, arranges , produces the vast majority of her work or usually collabs with others. She was a child prodigy in classical music and learned many instruments . Ahe joined several rock punk bands before going Solo in the early 90s. I Usually don't say this about many artists HOWEVER When it comes to Bjork , I Highly Recommend listening to her Solo Discography in Chronological Order of Release. Her Sonic Evolution will Blow You Away and make you realize how many of todays artists have been inspired by her and her soundscapes . - Debut - Post - Homogenic - Vespertine - Medulla - Volta - Biophilia - Vulnicura - Utopia - Fossora My last comment and suggestion regarding Bjork is that as a True Artist and Creator she not only creates these Amazing Songs but also creates Equally as Amazing Music Videos for her songs , that feel like a Missing piece of an Artistic Puzzle . Def wear Headphones . Cheers 🥂 and again Welcome to the Beautiful World of BJORK

  • What a wonderful reaction - it always feels like magic when an artist appears that just speaks to your soul, and I think that's what we saw! 😊Bjork's musical beauty and genius can be overwhelming - personally I'm a sucker for Venus as a Boy, I think it's one of the sexiest songs I've ever heard, and is so unbelievable beautiful. I'd say have fun with your deep dive, but I think that's a given! 😁

  • Amazing vid as always !! Yooo Björk never misses !! One of my favorite artists ever no question. Not sure if anyone recommended her album Fossora from 2022 but it is a Must listen to me in all her catalog, and I’ve heard it all. Atopos, Victimhood, Her Mother’s House, Fungal City. Trolla Gabba is like a cherry bomb instrumental but better ! You’ll never have a bad pick no matter what you choose. NO ONE else like her, period bro. It’s insane, she absolutely sweeps.

  • Homogenic is incredible. But if you want the best experience of the album. I implore you to listen to Debut and Post first. You really get to grow with her artistically and on a more selfish note, I’d like to see your reaction to Debut and Post lol

  • Bjork is amazing! She is one of the influential artists of the last 35 years. ‘Oral’ was actually a collaboration with Rosalia - another incredible contemporary artist well worth a deep dive into… Edit; now that I think about it you must react to Rosalia’s El Mal Querer or her most recent masterpiece Motomami. Or just watch the video for La Fama (the fame, with guest the Weekend) if you can handle the heat 🔥

  • If I were to recommend an album to start with, it would be Post. Homogenic, Vespertine, and Vulnicura are some of my other favorite albums of hers. Her voice is absolutely insane. The only person I consider to be one the same level as Bjork vocally and creatively is AURORA (who you should also listen to). I've seen her perform live (the best concert I've ever been to.) and she reduced the entire theater to tears. People we just hugging and crying for a good portion of the show. Her voice is so powerful and pure live that it makes you tear up. She does produce a lot of her music, or works closely with the producers. She really like adding a lot of natural and experimental sound into her music. It can be as simple as stepping in a box of small pebbles to create a certain sound. She uses a lot of experimental instruments too. Look up the ReacTable. She used it when I saw her live and it was really interesting.

  • COMMENT 2 1. As usual there's some dubious/obviously-wrong lines in those transcribed lyrics - I've no idea which website he was looking at, but it's not remotely a substitute for the CD booklets which include (more often than not) printed lyrics. If it was linked to Spotify - bad decision on their part! ; 2. It could be worse - at least, unlike some, this lyric website wasn't absolutely weighed down with scat vocal phrases mistaken for English words - but it still had Icelandic lines, and English lines, which aren't really there, as Bjork scholars know.

  • COMMENT 1 Lessons this guy has yet to learn - three "golden rules of reaction video" which shouldn't need to be written down:- Never sing - especially to songs you don't know every detail of, and especially not when you're drowning out a capital-G Great singer; Never "talk back to" the lyrics like some under-developed four year old - that's not only not very funny, it's actually horrifying in its implications; Never - and this is coming from someone who's had to learn the same lesson - dance on camera like some embarrassing grandparent trying to appear with-it!
