How to clean teeth with braces at home

Orthodontic Treatment
It is important to take care of your teeth and orthodontic appliances while in orthodontic care. Your orthodontist and her team review the instruction when you start your treatment but a refresher is always good.
Home Care Instructions
Most braces or clear aligners home care kit includes a tooth brush, toothpaste (with or without fluoride), floss, mouth rinse and wax.
Oral Hygiene
You have to see your dentists on a regular basis for your dental check-ups while you are wearing braces or aligners. Brush your teeth more than usual especially around the gum line and over the archwire. Tilt your tooth brush so the bristles are at a 45-degree angle and clean the tooth surfaces and the gum.
Flossing
It is harder to floss between your teeth with braces. You can use waterpik or superfloss with your braces.

Basically, any hard food can cause broken brackets. Here are some examples:

Taffy
Hard candies
