The Sludgeon is a relatively new dungeon (at the time of this video). In this finale, we take on a very splitting battle against time and fiend alike.

If you have Immersive Engineering in your pack, i suggest the Chem-Thrower with some burnable fluid. Together with a Thermal-Expansion reservoire, set to auto refill your fuel, you can aim the fire-stream above the mechanism from one of the balconies and drop down the cage rather quickly.

Eh defeats the purpose of the challenge. I'm more of a mage person myself. Besides, IE is the only tech mod I really enjoy. Everything else, TE especially, is extraordinarily unimpressive for me. I'm the person who enjoys a good adventure, a head-scratching puzzle, and a tough fight. When there are means to make it too easy, then it just becomes boring for me.

You can also use the shambler grapple hook to swing around and melee them but it takes practice. Alternatively ive found standing on the outer ring and using that to speed up my strafing while shooting the green glass from underneath the shields is the easiest way to do it, bring elixirs of speed to make it even easier. As long as you’ve cleared the mobs outside the pit, the new ones wont be able to catch you and will simply follow you around from the middle in circles, never getting out of the pit proper. Just bring some weeping blue leaves to keep the decay off. Anyway, well done! Its an awesome fight.

TT it took me a while to figure out it goes back up over time, I'm using a tinker's bow/arrows so the arrows can be repaired and I didn't run out but I wasted a lot of time, thanks for the tutorials they're really helpful, I find betweenlands pretty frustrating but it has some good stuff in the mod pack I'm working on

I Just can't wait to play this new update, but i don't have any good running computers and the school laptop i have doesn't use java. i watched another player complete their sludgeon and theirs was a little laggy, but they had really dark settings and fog on (so i can't really blame them), while this one is the opposite, nice and clear, pretty good gameplay, and good descriptions too, so yeah i don't really have anything else to say but good content ;D.

Yep, a reference to Enter the Gungeon. The Sludgeon is just so darn stressful, but I love it. Absolutely love it. I'm glad you enjoyed the content so far, and tried to keep it informative. Things I missed though: >Mechanism shields will start up the winding if hit. Don't hit them. >Floor six with the Crypt Crawlers supposedly has a shortcut to the top and a set of valonite armor (currently a placeholder for something the devs want to add later) hidden behind fake walls, yet I've not found them myself. Not sure if just unlucky or if they don't spawn yet. And yeah, I know who you're talking about. It was nice to see a solid live commentary, though I wish he brought torches.

Because i don't have the mod installed (yet), can living/moving walls 1-hit?, what is the damage if they crush you (cause i hope it isn't insta kill) Also if you download the mod and change it into a .zip file you have access to all the sounds entities etc and that's where i could get this bosses epic theme from.

In full Valonite (bar helmet) I took five hearts of damage. It's punishing, but not completely unforgiving. Also, VERY cool man :D

Also, if you hit the flying shields, it automatically raises the platform up a level and traps you in the root things.

Значительная часть видео - попытка опустить конструкцию в яму. Когда я играл я нашел более простой способ. нужно взять с собой кольцо левитации, и, подлетая вплотную к конструкции стрелять по целям. Таким образом вы за минуту, а то и меньше, сможете сбросить конструкцию в яму, а также избежите столкновения с монстрами, да и уничтожать турели на балконах вам не придется. При битве с боссом же, хорошим подспорьем будет использовать зелья силы и восстановления, так как делаются они очень просто, и в большом количестве за цикл. A significant part of the video is an attempt to lower the structure into the pit. When I played I found an easier way. you need to take a levitation ring with you, and, flying up close to the structure, shoot at targets. Thus, in a minute, or even less, you can drop the structure into the pit, and also avoid encounters with monsters, and you won’t have to destroy the turrets on the balconies. When fighting the boss, it will be a good help to use potions of strength and regeneration, since they are made very simply, and in large quantities per cycle.

Legit the stupidest fucking fight in existence. 20 shots with a time limit, without hitting the shields? All while being spammed by 15 mobs at a time, and sliding on ice like blocks.

If you stand on the outer ring and slay anything not a sludge worm, the enemies shouldn't catch you. At that point just aim upwards and shoot the lenses with less chance of hitting the shields. There's also a special cheese strategy you can use with the volarkite or by using the ring of ascent.

I was just mad last night. I managed to do it by standing below- it’s almost impossible (if not actually) standing up top. I just walked in a circle and avoided the slimes. The boss was simple though. Blocked and hit, no worries with him. Voodoo doll and angry pebble’d the trash.

Hey don't worry about it lol. It took me four tries to beat it because of what a headache it is. Now that I've done it once though, it's pretty easy once you clear out non sludge worm enemies and stand on that outer gear... especially if you land on it with a volarkite and just punch the lenses.
