Aust. 7 Day: Showery east, wetter FNQ + ex-cyclone Olga in WA

High pressure south of Australia is dominating most of the weather over the next 7 days but drives in a very showery and cloudy flow to much of eastern Australia. A tropical depression in the Coral Sea area will fall apart but help fuel some wet weather from Townsville northwards starting from about Sunday and off and on next week.
Another low skirts by Darwin, likely out at sea.
Meanwhile today ex-cyclone Olga moves into Exmouth, WA as a weak rain maker. It will drive in wet weather as far south as Kalgoorlie but sorry Perth, you miss out at this stage.
We have your 7 Day Australia Rainfall Map + today’s Flight Sim “place of the day” is Trinity Beach in Queensland.
Thanks, mate. I actually pulled up my blanket last night here in Brisbane
Thanks as always Phil for the detailed forecast
Thank you Phil the southerly up the east coast is very chilly indeed.
Hey Phil, as a beef cattle producer in Lower Barrington, Tasmania, I could really use your updated modelling for Oz you mention. Alan
You will have to come to the mainland to pick it up as its package size to big for the Princess of Tasmania to bring across. Hope you get your required rain. Upper Murray Jeff Moore.
Hey Alan, watch Phils New Zealand updates. Gives you a really good look at what's going on in the southern oceans. Works for me in Hobart

You have the best weather in Australia phil
G'Day from FNQ Cairns. They say, "Jolly good weather for ducks". But I reckon, even the ducks are packing up and moving out. 😆😆😆
Thanks Philip
Would be good to know when rain is expected for WA. So dry right now.
Yes please. Wheatbelt and Great Southern!
😊😊 down to 13.9 in Wynnum last night what a nice change from what we have had
Thanks Phil 👍❤️🧚♀️
Nice work bloke
Hi Phil and Crew, thanks once again for your great work.. It's been great here in CQ with some sunny days. Bike ride down to Agnes Water on Sunday so hopefully no showers. Look forward to seeing your next forecast. Cheers, Chris (Miriam Vale, Qld)
This is awesome !!! Best weather channel and presenter I’ve ever seen Thank you very much
Thank you Phil, love the look of the east coast next week as the blue tends to go in further & as I am on the eastern side of the Nepean River Lakes which is the start of the Blue Mountains, 50+ km from Sydney & the coast, it looks like we might just get some more showers which would be nice after the rain of last week. So we could go into winter with some green grass on our footpath for me to enjoy. Yes, I have noticed the cold air coming up from the antarctic & was reduced to putting on my heater last night as even with my rug on I was cold. I have my rug on today but I had to laugh as my grandson went out to his car at 11.30 am with his jacket & hoodie on as he too was cold. I think we are in trouble when the winter does arrive!! 🤣🤣🤣
Great update Phil. Time for an extra blanket in the Rocky area as it starts to cool down. Great weather for getting stuff done. 😁😁 Was that air view of Trinity beach from your Sim, or an actual flight?
Thank you, someone was warning us about lots of rain coming but thankfully I watched your forecast and no, only the odd light shower which is perfect :)
Next update 18/4/24
Thanks
Thank you very much for the extra support, it's really appreciated :) Phil

Hello from Trinity Beach +28C and overcast, but still beautiful!
Great! Thanks.
Bahaha we all look down at Tassie too 😂
It is better to discern the times of season we are in than to profess to know anything , be it weather of sunshine or rain , Do you get it right? Are you being fed right?
