[TW//Drug Misuse & Violence]
Carl Scott suffered childhood abuse, domestic violence and was groomed into a gang at age 13. He's been stabbed 3 times, his best friend died in his arms and at 15 he was living in a hostel addicted to heroin - then onto prison. 7 years ago, Carl changed his life completely and went on a mission to help other people get free of drugs and alcohol and has set up Project Youth to empower Young People to prevent youth crime and violence through education programmes, 1 to 1 mentoring and group workshops. Carl is working with the local police to set up revolutionary bleed control kits around Sussex (and soon to be London) which are designed to prevent catastrophic blood loss while waiting for the paramedics to arrive.
Thank you, Carl Scott, for sharing your inspiring journey, life transformation and dedication to breaking the cycle of drugs violence and knife crime on my podcast. Your work with Project Youth is making a significant and vital impact and you continue to give hope to anyone struggling with drug addiction. Huge thanks!

  • Wow another powerful session!! Thank you both, especially your guest for being so open honest and allowing yourself to be in such a vulnerable position . My arms reach out to hug if you don’t mind, don’t want to impose upon your space also blessed love. I to often ask myself why other adults noticed that I too was being sexually molested, and when I did speak out about mine was being dismissed and also told not to ever mention again and let people hear. Of course this allowed my abuser to continue. Thank you🙏🏽🫶🏽⭐️

  • …correction/ adults didn’t notice that I was being abused. Also in primary school I know they knew something was up. They brought me into the headmistresses office and questioned me but I remember at that age I would clam up and not speak or even answer the questions like as if I went into ‘dumb’ mode. But nothing was investigated or taken any further. But I now see that the saw something wasn’t right at home. 🫶🏽sigh…
