SRV and Taj Farrant are different versions of the same being...we all are different versions of the one true self....

  • One of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life. If someone does not sign this kid right now...then music has no hope of survival. Holy Crap! It is one thing to be able to play as well as he does...that is amazing in and of itself...but, to have the maturity and stage presence to do it in front of millions of people is another thing entirely, and he totally nailed it!

  • I played guitar for 25 years, wrote some songs, played them onstage with a band, had the honor of seeing positive reactions from audiences, actually had people approach me and tell me what one song in particular meant to them. I was asked to play and sing one of my songs at a wedding for a couple that I had never met until they asked me play it at their wedding. Some bad shit went down with the band I was in. I'm talking total heartbreak when I realized it meant the band was over. I ended up quitting music. I haven't played in years. On my best day I wasn't worthy to carry that kid's guitar. I think every hair on my body stood up when he went into the solo on Enter Sandman. What ever the X-Factor is, he has it by the dump truck load, and for the first time in years I'm thinking about pulling my favorite guitar out from the back of my closet and playing a little.I swore to myself that I was finished when I quit, and I probably won't, but that kid actually made me think about it. I have actually turned and walked away mid sentence from grown people who tried to bring up playing, but that little fella inspired me like nothing else has in years. Thanks for that little man. Don't ever let anyone put out your fire, and keep reaching for the stars. You have the potential to get there someday if you haven't already.

  • He is amazing as a guitar player and probably will be a member of a popular band. If he wants to be one of the best musicians he needs to take it to the next level and learn to write his own music. Then he has the potential to be an immortal musician by never being forgotten.

    @susanbrynt@susanbrynt4 жыл бұрын
    • Just abit of a wake up call, 99.9% of 'home guitar players' could play these popular riffs and solos. These are popular songs that people play when learning, eventually a few months later, mastering. Like, come on, back in black and enter sandman. He isnt a genius, he is a young fella enjoying himself, and for that i give him the thumbs up ...but to imply he is a future rockstar is just stupid, its a dime a dozen, progressing isnt as simple as learning new riffs and songs. There are millions of axe players out there that are probably better than allot of 'stars' and they probably work at Kmart. It all comes down to luck and if you have the image, which is pretty clear what his parents are trying to create. It is also obvious his dad is living his 'wanted' life through Taj. There is a $1.01 chance the kid will never be 'a star'. Stats dont lie.

    • @@csbcsb4458 you're absolutely right. Like the kid deserves praise for being able to play this stuff young and he does play it well but I'd be willing to wager that once he turns 18 he'll be completely forgotten. And his family clearly has money which has allowed them to get him fantastic gear and get him wide spread across the Internet. I bet there's tonnes of kids just as good as him or even better that are playing on a cheap strat copy and nobody knows about them

He's in the process of finishing his first album but already has released 4 singles Crossroads, Cruz, Bad Trip and House Always Wins that have all gone to #1 on the iTunes worldwide blues charts. He's touring the US and will even be opening a few shows for Buddy Guy, playing some major festivals and is a performer on Joe Bonamassa's blues cruise. If you haven't seen him perform Parisienne Walkways and Purple Rain recently you should. Plenty of concert footage from the last couple of months. Incredible!!!
