@@cybergeist8932 If you play on PC then you can use your sound settings to turn up the bass some which does give you the thump from firing but the issue is that it will give you a headache after a while. Better yet, you want a beefy sub to really feel the thump from the shots too lol

But it is as you said, there's a reason why it's not so readily available, and it's because even though it does make the guns sound better, it's also extremely headache inducing to have inconsistent and loud thump sounds beamed into your ears for hours at a time.

It's actually averted apocalypses setting with the arrival of the map Reclaimed and the new season. At least hinted to be. For a quick rundown, the Shearpoint satellite (the satellite you see when loading up the game) was a US terraforming experiment intended to stabilize and reverse the climate and weather as the climate crisis got more and more serious. However due to a flaw in the programing, it not only backfired and worsened the climate, it was also what was responsible for the global Blackout. The data that Oz had Irish retrieve and was supposed to deliver to him (and got at the end of the Exodus short film) was data for the Shearpoint project and the fact that the US was inadvertently responsible for the worsening climate and global Blackout. Oz's determination to get that data, as well as his push to create a new NoPat nation in the wake of the numerous failing countries helped cement the notion that Oz was a NoPat terrorist, which was being pushed by a CIA agent named Wolff. A false flag operation launched by Wolff and his team also ensured it would stick. The post release maps are tied into this backstory, and the profile backgrounds for the later seasons (IE seasons 2, 3, and 4) provide snippets into the story. The joint US-Canada base on the map Exposure was the control center for the Steadfast Refuge project, which is what the Shearpoint satellite was apart of, and Oz's movement, known as Silver Spear, raided the facility while US and Russian forces fought to dig up more data on the project, and more importantly the head of the project, Dr. Voros. The Dark Market's base in Panama, the beached freighter on the map Stranded, in addition to containing details of Oz's activities, but also served as a stopping point for Silver Spear as convinced Voros to help them and move them to a new lab. That new lab being hidden under the Nordvik facilities on the map Spearhead, which is where we get introduced to Silver Spear through Zain, who was acting as the Voros's bodyguard while they hid him at the facility. It's also where the NoPats of the Exodus discover what Oz was actually up to, and instead chose to join alongside Silver Spear. Silver Spear, Exodus, and Blasco and the (former) Spanish naval vessel Impavido all gathered at an abandoned Wellspring facility in South Africa, the map Flashpoint, to defend it as it is where Oz planned to change first once the errors in the satellite's code were fixed and it was proven to work. Through out all the seasons, Wolff was relentless in hunting down Oz and Silver Spear, changing his tactics and launching a public offensive on the NoPat site at Flashpoint, largely for the fact that he's holding the data stating the US inadvertently caused the Blackout and worsening climate that toppled numerous nations. It is in fact Oz that was speaking in the trailer, no longer hiding his identity, especially to the NoPats of the Exodus, as presumably the changes worked and the plan to not only stabilize the climate but also create new, habitable land and a NoPat nation in the fallen South African Richtersveld. That is what the "New Dawn", both what Oz and the season, implies. The NoPats united after being forced from their home nations as disasters made them uninhabitable and their governments fell, created a new nation state, and reversed the climate disasters. The conflict likely shifted as both the US and Russia relied heavily on the NoPats for their war, promising them a place in their nation if they fought. Many also likely wish for their countries to be restored, not have new ones built upon the ruins. And, more importantly, the NoPats possessed a technology that could just as easily destroy the world as it can restore it.

And besides, there was a cryptic code that is very likely to mean season 6 (111 06, 06 meaning season 6 and 111 days later being around 14 weeks, being the average season length, Landing at september 12th, the perfect time for a new season

Just to give you some context in the lore of the current game there is a man who is called Oz who manages a nopats Oz has been trying to find out what happened to the satellites and we found out recently that one of the satellites is actually a machine that controls weather and they can use it to specifically help the planet. Oz wants to use it for that purpose at least that's what it seems like but in the lore America and russians are fighting over this as well and they were both going to use the nopats as as a scapegoat and blame the current state of the world and the fact that all the satellite systems went down on them. Here is Oz giving a speech telling that nopats that they are going to shape the future because in the current easter egg of the game if you haven't done it you learn about the satellite and you're going to use the satellite to secure your existence as nopats. If you want to hear The Dice developer's voice voice over what the players in the communities are currently doing they have an official podcast that you can find but it's not on KZhead because they don't know how to market well you can find the podcast on Spotify Apple all that other stream and stuff for music. Loving this final trailer for BF2042, its really one of the trailer they had made in a long time Despite its failure of a launch the dev team managed to make this game into a playable game. Despite its no campaign, players is able to figure out the storyline behind EA/DICE office Despite its triple monetisation of being a full game without campaign, battle pass and cosmetic shop, we learnt that the new DICE team is here to stay. There are many good things about this game The cosmetic store works flawlessly since season 1 Its not another battle royale, more like a walking simulator with pea shooter Very cheerful characters despite being displaced and fighting for resources, "well well well that was fun" is definitely my line when hungry, fighting on the frontline and getting shot at This game is not perfect, but the only flaw I can find is that there is no battle royale mode as initially planned looking at how masterfully flat and wide the maps are with no cover. They should take more inspiration from Apex Legends, Fortnite, Overwatch turning BF into hero shooter next instalment. I rate the trailer as 10/10 EA/DICE can unlock my full rating for USD 69.99 bundle

Loving it, hosting a server & having a great time in 2042 I have to say. I finished Battle Pass S4 in week 6 & got a T1 in it soon after. So been waiting for this & appreciate all the DLC/Battle Pass content DICE. Long time player here, ran several servers/clans through the years! I got to say BF2 was a favorite of mine & wish EA/Dice would redo "Kubra Dam" & a few more or 2 since there are 2 for each in portal, BF3, BC2, & 1942. Loved the remakes of Wake Island in the later BF's but Kubra will always be a favorite of mine. Some of the eye candy is cool these days like skins & outfits too but the masks are to Apex/Fortnite for a war but what ever floats some boats I guess. PS: DICE Still wish more or all was earned/unlocked & not just bought, such a cool thing to play to strive for that new gun/skin/outfit. Just like Dad use to say, when people are just given something they don't appreciate it as much or respect it & take care of whatever it is.

@@landturtle7470 that leak is the year two upgrade you can see at the end of the trailer, it's been renamed to "2042 elite" edition. There will be no year 2. Really, what most people are forgetting is that right now we are in the ACTUAL year two. It's just a shame that most of the support has been geared towards fixes and changes instead of actual new content. I'd say I hope I'm wrong but I know I'm not. DICE has a lengthy track record at this point of cancelling support for games when they actually get good and this won't be any different.

I think the game was in a good place, and 2042 is a different situation but in both there's a lot of potential. BF fans are justified in wanting to see DICE follow through, I think.

Most of the community uses helmets or any type of face protection gear (which is expected, since most headgear pieces provide that). You can still see who is who, but people don't look like clones at all most of the time

With the chaotic nature of battlefield you can't even had a time to care about the clones closest to you and that is your own teammates.

Man, as a person who lucked out and didn't buy the game at launch, I really want to get excited for this. I really do. But knowing EA just when this game will reach a state when it's "good", the support for it will get abandoned for the sake of another game in the making, and we'll have the same circle of regret all over again. Bought the game Season 4 after being a Beta Tester. And while the beta test / release were incredibly rocky, the game has come along ways. I wish there was more destruction, as that's one of the main things I miss from BF 3, 4, and 1. But besides that, the game plays really well. And it's 100% getting better with every update. Looking forward to New Dawn!

It's actually averted apocalypses setting with the arrival of the map Reclaimed and the new season. At least hinted to be. For a quick rundown, the Shearpoint satellite (the satellite you see when loading up the game) was a US terraforming experiment intended to stabilize and reverse the climate and weather as the climate crisis got more and more serious. However due to a flaw in the programing, it not only backfired and worsened the climate, it was also what was responsible for the global Blackout. The data that Oz had Irish retrieve and was supposed to deliver to him (and got at the end of the Exodus short film) was data for the Shearpoint project and the fact that the US was inadvertently responsible for the worsening climate and global Blackout. Oz's determination to get that data, as well as his push to create a new NoPat nation in the wake of the numerous failing countries helped cement the notion that Oz was a NoPat terrorist, which was being pushed by a CIA agent named Wolff. A false flag operation launched by Wolff and his team also ensured it would stick. The post release maps are tied into this backstory, and the profile backgrounds for the later seasons (IE seasons 2, 3, and 4) provide snippets into the story. The joint US-Canada base on the map Exposure was the control center for the Steadfast Refuge project, which is what the Shearpoint satellite was apart of, and Oz's movement, known as Silver Spear, raided the facility while US and Russian forces fought to dig up more data on the project, and more importantly the head of the project, Dr. Voros. The Dark Market's base in Panama, the beached freighter on the map Stranded, in addition to containing details of Oz's activities, but also served as a stopping point for Silver Spear as convinced Voros to help them and move them to a new lab. That new lab being hidden under the Nordvik facilities on the map Spearhead, which is where we get introduced to Silver Spear through Zain, who was acting as the Voros's bodyguard while they hid him at the facility. It's also where the NoPats of the Exodus discover what Oz was actually up to, and instead chose to join alongside Silver Spear. Silver Spear, Exodus, and Blasco and the (former) Spanish naval vessel Impavido all gathered at an abandoned Wellspring facility in South Africa, the map Flashpoint, to defend it as it is where Oz planned to change first once the errors in the satellite's code were fixed and it was proven to work. Through out all the seasons, Wolff was relentless in hunting down Oz and Silver Spear, changing his tactics and launching a public offensive on the NoPat site at Flashpoint, largely for the fact that he's holding the data stating the US inadvertently caused the Blackout and worsening climate that toppled numerous nations. It is in fact Oz that was speaking in the trailer, no longer hiding his identity, especially to the NoPats of the Exodus, as presumably the changes worked and the plan to not only stabilize the climate but also create new, habitable land and a NoPat nation in the fallen South African Richtersveld. That is what the "New Dawn", both what Oz and the season, implies. The NoPats united after being forced from their home nations as disasters made them uninhabitable and their governments fell, created a new nation state, and reversed the climate disasters. The conflict likely shifted as both the US and Russia relied heavily on the NoPats for their war, promising them a place in their nation if they fought. Many also likely wish for their countries to be restored, not have new ones built upon the ruins. And, more importantly, the NoPats possessed a technology that could just as easily destroy the world as it can restore it.

No the year 2 upgrade they mentioned is a way for them to resell all of yr1 content into a bundle. They're not giving us anything more. They barely gave us what we paid for. DICE is dead. This is the last of it all. The next BF will clearly be the franchise killer since it'll be nothing like we've played before.

No this game needs better sound design for bullet whizzes and reloads, get rid of SPECIALISTS and make better maps! Like exposure with huge rubble pits, make lots of destruction and lots more gadgets, weapons and unlocks, less vehicles per each team and more cinematic battlefield moments, also make the maps smaller, less open
Why haven’t I been able to play in a week. Keeps saying unable to connect. Check down detector and it is always lit with people having this same issue.
This game has come such a long way. Throughly enjoyable experience. Hopefully 2042 is supported right up until the next release.
Please let the New Dawn not only be about the 2048 story, but also a new dawn of Battlefield 2042 as a game. The vehicle and Vault Weapon changes are a start, but I hope content gets more in quality and quantity! Please, don't abandon the game after all the hard work you've been doing. I know the game isn't really good but the fact that changes are still made instead of being abandoned in Season 1 is something to never forget...

The BF3 color way was the first thing I noticed hopefully they continue with their pattern of remaking a map and making a new one. Hoping for a metro or damavand peak remake.

Just to give you some context in the lore of the current game there is a man who is called Oz who manages a nopats Oz has been trying to find out what happened to the satellites and we found out recently that one of the satellites is actually a machine that controls weather and they can use it to specifically help the planet. Oz wants to use it for that purpose at least that's what it seems like but in the lore America and russians are fighting over this as well and they were both going to use the nopats as as a scapegoat and blame the current state of the world and the fact that all the satellite systems went down on them. Here is Oz giving a speech telling that nopats that they are going to shape the future because in the current easter egg of the game if you haven't done it you learn about the satellite and you're going to use the satellite to secure your existence as nopats. If you want to hear The Dice developer's voice voice over what the players in the communities are currently doing they have an official podcast that you can find but it's not on KZhead because they don't know how to market well you can find the podcast on Spotify Apple all that other stream and stuff for music. Fighting for the US and Russia as different No-pats throughout the “war” and then finding out they are just in another arms race that the two powers put themselves in even while the world is crumbling around them.

Loving this final trailer for BF2042, its really one of the trailer they had made in a long time Despite its failure of a launch the dev team managed to make this game into a playable game. Despite its no campaign, players is able to figure out the storyline behind EA/DICE office Despite its triple monetisation of being a full game without campaign, battle pass and cosmetic shop, we learnt that the new DICE team is here to stay. There are many good things about this game The cosmetic store works flawlessly since season 1 Its not another battle royale, more like a walking simulator with pea shooter Very cheerful characters despite being displaced and fighting for resources, "well well well that was fun" is definitely my line when hungry, fighting on the frontline and getting shot at This game is not perfect, but the only flaw I can find is that there is no battle royale mode as initially planned looking at how masterfully flat and wide the maps are with no cover. They should take more inspiration from Apex Legends, Fortnite, Overwatch turning BF into hero shooter next instalment. I rate the trailer as 10/10 EA/DICE can unlock my full rating for USD 69.99 bundle

Not only the colors should return to the way it was in the old, the good, Battlefields. As seen with so many updates now: Every inspiration taken from Bf3 and Bf4 led to serious improvements. I hope the next Battlefield will be much similar to Bf3/4...

Loving it, hosting a server & having a great time in 2042 I have to say. I finished Battle Pass S4 in week 6 & got a T1 in it soon after. So been waiting for this & appreciate all the DLC/Battle Pass content DICE. Long time player here, ran several servers/clans through the years! I got to say BF2 was a favorite of mine & wish EA/Dice would redo "Kubra Dam" & a few more or 2 since there are 2 for each in portal, BF3, BC2, & 1942. Loved the remakes of Wake Island in the later BF's but Kubra will always be a favorite of mine. Some of the eye candy is cool these days like skins & outfits too but the masks are to Apex/Fortnite for a war but what ever floats some boats I guess. PS: DICE Still wish more or all was earned/unlocked & not just bought, such a cool thing to play to strive for that new gun/skin/outfit. Just like Dad use to say, when people are just given something they don't appreciate it as much or respect it & take care of whatever it is.

M8 they don’t work on a specialist on S5 that means there’s plenty of time and resources to work on yet they haven’t shown a new vehicle and we are gettin 3 new guns as usual
I have a theory that the crack that appears in the teaser is a nod to the fact that earthquakes will be introduced in this season 5 and that cracks will appear on the map to change its topology

@@landturtle7470 that leak is the year two upgrade you can see at the end of the trailer, it's been renamed to "2042 elite" edition. There will be no year 2. Really, what most people are forgetting is that right now we are in the ACTUAL year two. It's just a shame that most of the support has been geared towards fixes and changes instead of actual new content. I'd say I hope I'm wrong but I know I'm not. DICE has a lengthy track record at this point of cancelling support for games when they actually get good and this won't be any different.

Keep up the good work! One day people will join and have a blast. Breakthrough maps need 128 player mode and the sides of the map expanded a tad on each side to help with flanking. So it's not just a meat grinder. :)

It'll always be a sour taste for those of us that played at launch, and now too much time has passed and not enough attention has been given, nor has the playerbase risen high enough to entice more to come back. It's "done" and won't get as much support as it should from the gamers.

@@ramiere1412 DICE explicitly promised that BFV would have more development poured in to it (in more than one formal letter to fans) and then promply sunsetted support after a single solid expansion. I think the game was in a good place, and 2042 is a different situation but in both there's a lot of potential. BF fans are justified in wanting to see DICE follow through, I think.

What I wanna see is the specialist to look different on the enemy team, it just feels like we are just fighting clones of each other. I know this might not happen since they will need to build the specialist from the ground up and use resources and money, but I just hope they do and i know they have different skins you can buy but I just want to see the faces change or just something like that.

Most of the community uses helmets or any type of face protection gear (which is expected, since most headgear pieces provide that). You can still see who is who, but people don't look like clones at all most of the time

@@thebigsam Yeah, if all the specialists use the tier 4 skin they just basically looks like an normal soldier on the field, I mean when you shot people at 20-30m+ you can't even tell who or what they are wearing and most of the time they just looks like a generic soldier at that distance. With the chaotic nature of battlefield you can't even had a time to care about the clones closest to you and that is your own teammates.

Man, as a person who lucked out and didn't buy the game at launch, I really want to get excited for this. I really do. But knowing EA just when this game will reach a state when it's "good", the support for it will get abandoned for the sake of another game in the making, and we'll have the same circle of regret all over again. And buying the game at this point would be just pointless, I might as well go back to BF4.

Bought the game Season 4 after being a Beta Tester. And while the beta test / release were incredibly rocky, the game has come along ways. I wish there was more destruction, as that's one of the main things I miss from BF 3, 4, and 1. But besides that, the game plays really well. And it's 100% getting better with every update. Looking forward to New Dawn!
