The POI’s made it great. You actually wanted to land at a lot of different spots and not just a few like it has been for a while now. Season 4 in chapter 2 was pretty fun too. The current season (7) has potential if they nerf the UFO’s spraying power and add a few good POI’s.

I started this season and it was so fun and it was my favourite So many amazing map changes, god battle pass, so many fun places to land, never got bored of this season, ghost and shadow edit styles were amazing, Travis Scott god collaboration and concert to much amazing stuff about this season I can’t list them all, best season of chapter 2, I was so bad and I had so much fun during it I hope they do a season like this again so nostalgic moments from this season.

The problem is that you are only viewing this from one POV and that is the professional player perspective whereas most of us just thought it was fun. No arenas, no fighting. Most of us found the choppas really fun and the new henchmen system, playing squads with our friends and ramming the choppa into builds, disguising as henchmen, trolling using the cardboard box and most of the new storyline and shadow vs ghost element. All in all this season was one of my favourite seasons where I played till the end and actually wanted to complete challenges.
Facts bro this season is nostalgic for me because it was at the time when all of my friends were playing and it was during the height of Covid thus we were grinding all day and in the aspect of the ghost and shadow poi’s they made the season 100 times better due to the bosses
This video seemed to focus a lot on competitive. What about the players hopping on to play casual solos, duos, or squads? The new items such as the delivery boxes, the telephone boxes, adding bosses (or npcs in general) for the first time, it was all so new and exciting. Even after this video, I still believe season 2 was the best season of chapter 2.
Reiss bases his account on competitive gameplay in fortnite. He would lose his core audience if he started talking about casual.
Honestly what I loved about it was the whole theme. The characters, the world building, I loved the music, spies is still a lobby track I play often. Midas is still a skin I wear constantly. I loved raiding a faction base stealthy with my friends. I loved getting terrified when I turned a corner and Midas was staring at me. It was the season that got me back into Fortnite, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

It was the best season in chapter 2 and definitely one of the best of all time in my opinion. shotguns were balanced,good POIs,broken mythics and cool battle pass and obviously the event at the end of the season. Now the season was a bit long and a little dry but regardless I loved it and I miss it badly

It’s been a while since I have had fun in Fortnite but I still remember vividly that chapter 2 season 2 was my favourite season in chapter 2.Quarantine was a big part of it too
The season was very unbalanced, but I loved the season because I just had so much fun playing arena with my friends.

The season was amazing! I loved the golden items from bosses. It always felt special to have them in the endgame. The grappler was way too much fun. The Grotto was a very special place for Fortnite standards. Down in a cave with lots of indestructable walls around. It also felt very rewarding to open the vaults. I only remember two negative things: The super op aim assist and the loud music at the POIs.
This season, depending on how you look at it, could either be the best or worst season of the chapter. Fun, absolutely. Obnoxious, 100%. Competitively balanced meta, not at all. But it was fun. Not at all competitive, but fun.

The biggest problem in the game rn is the fact that some POIs r being contested without even being too overpowered which was not the case in that season. The mythic POIs were guaranteed contested every single game and players knew that, and some other POIs such as craggy back then were very unlikely to be contested just because everyone could either have their own POI or they went to a mythic one. So I believe that there were some upsides in that season even at high lvl comp such as FNCS.
Ch2 S2 was great primarily because of the fun factor. Solo squads during this season also blew up due to the bots being added to pubs. It felt like season 7 all over again bc i was dropping 30s left and right. Also the daily duo cups were so fun bc u knew that if u did bad u didnt have to wait a whole week to try again. Besides the aim assist this was a great season

THE OP STUFF IS WHAT MADE THE GAME INTERESTING, hear me out. Not only were they fun to use, if you died to them it wasn't like you would rage quit and you were done for the day, if i raged quit i would come back on in a couple of minutes cause the season was just so fun. It was just more interesting and it was high risk high reward for those that landed at these locations.
Season was overrated. People don't think about the fact that the drum gun was broken, especially if they had aim assist. The events were both really overhyped for being trash, and the battle pass was again, overrated. Don't get me started on the map. Just my 2 cents on it.
My favorite season of chapter 2 is 5, I had the most fun in that season, plus I liked the NPC with pistol's, as for some reason in every game, I'm good with it, anyway I actually knew how to use the jetpack effectively and with the dual pistols I was mostly unkillable, made my character look cooler than normal, plus I didn't mind all the collabs as it actually made sense, most were hunters of some kind and were brought there to cause chaos, which is what they did, and in the arena I would challenge myself to only go melee, was super fun, plus unlike everyone I didn't like hiding and moving in the sand, because I wouldn't be able to do my emotes on it including traversal
The POIs, Travis Scott concert and the fact all my friends played, it’s why it’s my all-time favourite Fortnite season. Right now, I want to bring back as much of my IRL friends back to Fortnite since Chapter 4 is really fun now
The nostalgia of landing at the boss POIs and spamming the mythics was just so damn fun. However, that season lasted 5 months and the content creators started to struggle... Heavy snipers and mini guns spammed players, aim assist was overpowered, and it got frustrating for many players and creators that quit at this time. Looking back, it was great fun but it lasted too long and had problems that needed fixing
Fr idk how they follow up season 1 so good at the start then just prolong it. Then season 3 came out and it just had water and like no map changes
it was also a fun season for trickshotting too, because the grappler, the launchpads, the crashpads, the heavy snipers, everything was so fun
One of the main reasons I liked this season is because when you land at any you can have a fun time while making memes out of henchmen which is pretty funny and they never added the mech planes or none of that and the battle pass was insane for trolling and all that stuff

I used to play in c1s1 then quit until c2s1's last month, so season 2 was the phase where I already knew how to play, but basically everything was new and exciting, so thats why I lile c2s2 the most

I remember just rotating early on those final circles, I would take the best spot in circle, build a little base and just spray my Mythic weapon to the lobby

I think the disappearance of traps is one of the worst things to happen to the game. Small explanation: The general mechanics of the players have greatly increased since chapter 2 and unfortunately 99% of the time and especially in arena or open, the main strategy to kill an enemy is to enter the box of his opponent and to make a 50% to the pump or to the smg which is completely stupid in a game where the goal is to stay alive. And I think that even though the commu is essentially playing on this point (commu young people who think they are gods of aim and do like the best players watching except that the good players are more towards 75% or more win I think). The disappearance of traps also plays a role because there is no longer this fear of getting killed when you enter someone's box. A good player will kill a less good player whether he has a trap or not and box an opponent and trap, a real pleasure. If the problem is the damage (150) or the rarity (atypical) let them become rare and do 100 damage. A good compromise there won't be many of them and it won't be cheated but it might change the way people play. And fuck chapter 2 saison 2

Sir, you are 100% right and completely justified. This W-key meta is brainless and makes any tactical grand scheme gameplay redundant. It's all about rushing in with the overpowered Pump shotgun to hit for a cheap 100 tag and then finish off with an SMG which back then were simply broken.
I agree that traps should not be removed from the game but at the same time they should nerfed them. Like a cap of 2 traps for player or maybe 100 dmg instead of 150 would be nice.

It is the best season cuz the map and meta changes make it exciting for a while. Stuffs added are a bit too OP but overall, it is such a fun season to play in.
Yeah but with all due respect, and I promise I mean it sincerely, it’s easy for you, a computer/competitive player to say that it was OP and maybe not balanced and great… but most players of FN have to be console surely… and they were used to getting wrecked by comp players constantly, so this season was just FUN! I didn’t care if someone had mythics and I didn’t, it was then an incentive to try kill them to take the mythics. Was not impossible. The decoys/ cardboard boxes/ shakedowns/ kingsman umbrella/ many different distinct POIs/ interesting weapons/ lack of balance surely made this the most insanely fun season of all fortnites history. I would take this szn back over any in a heartbeat. It felt like nearly every corner you turned players were about, everyone spread out more due to the pull of the amazing POIs

I find it funny how many people wanted the Mythics to be nerfed because they were OP. Of course they’re op, that’s why you had a 500+ health boss and like 20 henchmen keeping it safe. You’re not meant to be running around with them every game. Oh and the spy games were fun too
It’s crazy to look at the remains from Ch2S2. The Shark is now Sharky Shell, which is just an abandoned decayed version of the Shark prison and has been unchanged since season 3. The Grotto is now completely sealed off due to flooding and rockslides and is now called Brutus’ Basin. The Yacht drifted to the northern central part of the map in season 3 and got some makeshift Fortilla-like elements before completely disappearing in season 4. The only sign that the hatch ever existed was the small island in the top-left corner of the map that I believe was added just for the yacht. The Rig became Rickety Rig in season 3, and completely disappeared in season 4 without a trace. The Agency is now completely gone. I thought being empty was a big enough change, but now it’s a HUGE crater called the Aftermath. And I’m not even including all the Ghost/Shadow mini-locations, or the season 3 locations

Mechs and infinity blade aside, people quickly forget how unbalanced a season was if it was actually new, fun and exciting. Aside from maybe the addition of turbobuilding, we have not seen anywhere near the changes to core game mechanics as there were at the start of c2s2. When people talk about what they want from a new season, they always constrain themselves to talking about changes to the loot pool and map. If you want this game to survive, if you want an exciting new season that will become everyone's favorite, we need changes to game mechanics. We need new game changing metas which can mastered and give players a reason to grind arena.

Most fun I personally ever had in this game was this season. Even tho I was ass. Now I'm good and just don't enjoy it like back then. Maybe not balanced for comp, but a blast for casuals. And that's what matters most even tho we enjoy comp

For competitive it was really bad, but I only play pubs and the whole henchman lore etc. and vaults were just so enjoyable, it added a story to each game, disguising as a henchman, sneaking up on the bosses, completing certain challenges, it was the best season for me besides C1 S1-4
The reason why these Mythics worked, and not others, is that they followed some criteria: For a good mythic to exist, there need to be some criteria, ranging from most to least priority: 1) How fun/unique is the Mythic to use? 2) How much more powerful is it than the other non-Mythic items? 3) How challenging/fun is it to obtain, and how rare is it to obtain? The best Mythics follow either 1, 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 2 and 3 or 1, 2 and 3. The Mythics this season were WAY stronger than the other Weapons, the Midas Drum Gun and the Mythic Boom Bow were both unique as their regular adaptations did not exist in the main game at the time, and they weren't available to everyone in the lobby: you had to fight a stacked POI to obtain them.

In season 2 chapter 2 I didn’t care if I died. This was when all my friends would play during quarantine and we would make forts in creative😪

As someone who started playing at the very end of Chapter 2 Season 1, I think Season 2 was the best season ever. Season 3 was also fantastic, not as good as Season 2 but still great. I hated Season 4, it was the most sweaty season I'd ever played. Season 5 was definitely better than Season 4. Season 6 was very boring. But Season 7 made up for it. That Season was fantastic from start to finish. As for Season 8.... All the sweats have came back and ruined the game. It made me delete Fortnite. Fingers crossed Season 9 will be good

when you dont play Fortnite for a while and come back it is usually pretty fun, this was combined with chapter 2 season 2 which overall was pretty solid led to a pretty good time in Fortnite. Best season since season 7. Doesn't touch Chapter 1 Season 2 3 4 and 5.
Hated it at the time ( even though I maimed controller then, and was also at my peak ) but now I miss it

I can already see the same sort of opinion forming for this current season. UFOs are so awful and make fights frustrating beyond belief. I know they've removed it from Arena but I could see them adding a nerf in the update on Tuesday and reintroducing it for the season opening too.

@@charlieyeag8626 I get it, season 2 was something refreshing and new after what ch2 season 1 gave us, but when you like at it from a gameplay and content perspective, this season had alot of downsides, like 1.delayed too many times 2.meta was not fun, it was basically get a mythic or die 3.controller aimbot:OH MY GOD the controller aim was so freaking annoying I almost quit 4.mythics: the mythics were not bad, but they were so annoying to die to. This season was not the worst, but certainly not the best.

No where near chpt 1 s3/s5 fun but in terms of competitive it was the most fun competitive season as it was not too annoying, it was just normal weapons but a bit better which I loved especially the grappler.

tbh i think the people who thought the season was fun when looking were controller players, personally i didn’t enjoy learning controller for a month and a half so i could use the drum gun to drop double digit kills in arena effortlessly while making plays that legit numbed my brain. Like literally just for playing on controller you could drop bombs with the drum gun which was fun but only when ur the one on the controller with the drum gun.
May of been the first season I played, but it was still the best. Fortnite just hasn’t been the same since this season left
