They make this process impossible , I work event gigs... to list every job in the past 10 years would be over 100 address and phone numbers of people who dont remember me They are the federal government they can access all this information and more I filled out e86 complete and they still ask for more info and changes At this point im not wasting anymore time jumping through hoops

I’m more concerned about the English part I’m not big on proper paragraphs and punctuations. Any tips

Hi Fazle just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I apply 3/17/23 took the CBT test today 3/23 and thanks to your videos I had an idea of what I was going for, I passed and by the time I got ho my car I received the email saying I pass and contigent offer. Any idea how long is the process taking now? Like for airport assessment. BTW until I saw your video explaining the process i thought I was actually going to an airport lol.
Congrats on passing, happy the video helped. The length of the process depends on how big your airport is and how fast the airport is looking to fill its ranks. Higher turnover = faster hiring

As a former TSO the "Can you find the weapon" along with the image at 11:15 made me laugh harder than it should have. Gun, knife, full aerosol can (probably spray paint or something that needs shaken), and what looks like a 'splodey boi... that'd be a fun day at the checkpoint.

@Fazle Hasnain it did. Of course, there's more to it on the actual test, but they clearly state you can't disclose anything about the test, so I'll leave it at that lol. I used to be in the army, and at points during the x-ray part, I felt like I was taking a hearing test. I was like "am I seeing this, or am I not seeing this?"
I took the first TSA test over 7 years ago, and the only part I failed was the x-ray part. I just know that's the only part I didn't do well in, and I failed, according to them.
So if im getting trained and I fail the Xray part , what sense does that make to take an xray image test?
They want to see if you can recognize basic objects. The more you can recognize now, the easier it’s going be for you get through the training.
It makes no sense whatsoever to make people take an X-ray test, when most people have never even looked at an X-ray before. It’s really ridiculous. How about making this part of training and not part of an entrance test? Ugh

It makes no sense to hire people who lack the aptitude to see what can be seen. There will be more training once hired, but the test weeds out those who are unlikely to successfully complete the training.
Just a quick question. Will it negatively effect my chances of being hired if I withdraw my application and re-apply later? Unfortunately I didn't do my due diligence in looking into the hiring process. I had no idea that it was so drawn out and I am currently way too busy at my present job to complete the process.
It’s fine, they don’t care. Just reapply to any federal job when you’re ready.

After FLETC, but you’re fully certified after OJT

You get an actual certificate but it’s for ceremonial purposes. All the certs I’ve received in the fed are sitting in some box. No commitment to stay regardless of where you are in your career.

No more English and X-ray testing. It’s mainly visual perception testing. You still get 2 attempts. If you fail the exam then you must wait 6 months before booking the next test. You get 2 hours to complete the test but people finish it faster. I don’t know how many questions are on the test

good afternoon brother, I would like to start working at the TSA but I do not have citizenship, I am only a resident, I worked at the airport of my country for 10 years in RX being one of the best in the country and I have proof of it, do you think they are done some exceptions?
There a VERY FEW exceptions to this rule. If you meet this exception than the U.S. government will come to you to offer you a job. Everyone else must be an US citizen to work for the U.S. government. No math on the test, only reading and English grammar. These test will be similar to a high school exam. This is the only video I made on the CBT. There are other KZhead videos but they will mostly talk about the X-ray part of the test since that’s the part majority fail. You’ll be fine, don’t stress it.

Pay close attention to the part where I talk about Gestalt Theory and how to apply it to the airplane example, then look at the sample images I used in the video from google and try to use what I teach to identify objects in the images. That’s how I practiced before taking my CBT. For more context look at the links in the description box.
Each test is different depending on the state … some ppl will get the old version which he’s explaining n another part which is the shorter version
The agency is going to fully transition to the new exam. Don’t know how long it will take them.
Take the test in a few days how long before you if you've passed and are hired?
You’ll know test results within 24-48 hours. if it’s a big airport, maybe 4-6months minimum till hired

I took the cbt test yesterday and still no response 😅 mine took around 25 minutes to complete. No X-ray questions or English comprehension it was connecting dots and some other figuring shapes out.. maybe i got the wrong one?

You say trust your eyes. If I 'see' unidentifiable wires and wire cutters, shouldn't that raise a flag for inspection?
For the purposes of the CBT, none of that matters. Just find the object the test will ask you to find. When you get hired and start x-ray training then the things you’re addressing will be more relevant.
Doing this test in 5 minutes hopefully I can finish this 14 minute video

I took the test today and it’s divided into 3 parts. There are no x ray images and it’s been replaced with a spatial perception test. The first 2 parts are easy but the spatial perception part was very hard. I still haven’t gotten an email on whether or not I passed
The spatial perception I heard is a 2D and 3D test. They changed the test this year so this video is now out dated. Let me know how it goes when you find out. I’ll make a video on the test as I find out more. Appreciate the heads up.
@@theTSAguyI received a tentative offer today! Took a while but I guess I passed the test. My advice for those taking the test is to trust your gut instinct and don’t overthink, especially on the spacial test.

The best way to practice is to look for x-ray images on google and try to identify the items in the image. If you look in the description box of the video, you will see 2 links to articles that will explain more about x-ray images and how to read them.

There are no answers. You just practice identifying the objects in the image.

Don’t focus on the meaning of colors, as long as you recognize the image that’s all that matters.
Passed my test now I have a virtual interview today literally in an hour. This process might be faster than I thought.

@@ObviouslyBaked The answer is not as straight forward as we would think. My answer is, I don't know, it depends...Consider the 4 things I ask below. They will help you get to your answer. I'll do a video on this as well. Consider 3 things: 1. What are your short/long-term goals? 2. What is your end goal? 3. How does TSA fit in with 1 and 2? 4. What other options have you considered? Most people I worked with, including me, just needed to a job to hold them over till they finished school or leveraged their skills and experience they had from previous jobs to move on to other jobs in the fed they really want. TSA is a federal job that is easy to get and seemed like a good starting point just to get "federal experience". Hope that helps.

The images he shows are not that simple in real test. If the images were that simple, everyone would pass the x-ray test. Only 30% pass the test according what I read.
This is meant to be a teaching tool to get people to think start thinking of objects they see in everyday images in a way they aren’t used to. Yes, roughly 30% pass. That’s because the other 70% of the tested population doesn’t know what they are looking at or how interpret an x-ray image. This video was made to close the knowledge gaps.
Is the English part all multiple choice?
The test has changed in the recent weeks, so this video is no longer relevant. You will now be tested on your spatial and depth perception skills.

I don’t know if there will be English on the new exam, but don’t worry about that. Your English is fine and the exams are always multiple choice. I won’t know what exactly is on the new test until there is more information out about it. All I know is there is a spatial perception section on the test.
