Honestly looking at their reaction makes me think how fragile an idol life is. I can actually understand their reaction n im glad they did not take the "i love u" word for granted. At any time, these word can actually be someone last word so im just so glad sungjae actually call back to check despite it being a mission. I remember sungjae telling in one of the beatcom tat changsub ever msg him like this too and he was also worried. He really is a reliable maknae!
I feel this i can't say i love you in personal but i can text i love you to my mother i can't say it ..but to them they can say i love you but in text its like an eagyo so clingy for them ☺
This is normal in Alot of Asia especially here in Korea. You see in our society Love is a very serious and strong word, it's meaning etf isn't to be lost. So people only say it if they are dead Serious about you. Its mainly reserved for expression to your gf/bf spouse or very close family and close best friends. So for someone to suddenly out of the blue say I love you without any context. Makes people pay attention and get worried that maybe you had a very bad time ot got sick or in the hospital they assume something serious happened for you to say those words. Very rarely is it worry that you confessed to them regardless if they know your sexuality or not. If you observe Asians in the west goro your Chinatowns or Korea towns and watch how most of the people who are still very entrenched in traditional Asian culture look at you like you are crazy if you say i love you to them or use it as an expression that you really like something
and the fact that Sungjae even said I love you back to Minhyuk was so nice of him. They didn't mention it here but on another broadcast, Minhyuk mentioned that Sungjae actually said I love you too to him.
Sungjae said ' i love you" to Peneil all of a sudden on "MASTER IN THE HOUSE" . That was so sweet
and he had to say it in a polite language, and had to get peniel to respond in polite mode as well.... and peniel complied, and everyone were amazed at their brotherhood. I swear, MITH epi with peniel in it were the ones that get me laughter and teary eyes both at the same time....

Love these guys..typical of men to feel awkward saying or texting something sweet to a fellow guy..but what they really feel is shown by their actions. Like what Peniel and Sungjae did.. got a bit worried and asked if something happened. They know that it's not normal for that member to say 'I love you' out of nowhere so concern gripped them, wondering what may have happened and if the member was alright. That's real love..for a brother/friend. I gez after what happened to Ilhoon, they are more sensitive now and aware of each other's activities and situations..not wanting to have anyone go thru something without help or guidance from the group.

I think it’s great to see more guys telling other guys I love you. It’s a saying that doesn’t get used a lot especially in Korea. I remember Big Bang saying that they actually started to say I love you in Korean after Daesungs accident/scandal because they realized that it was something that made them realize that life could be taken away in an instant. Seungri always said it but all of them say it to one another, the one who uses it the least is Daesung but even he admitted that it became much easier and more frequent with time.
