"War is young men dying and old men talking"
War is young men fighting each other, killing each other, not knowing each other, not hating each other.theyre forced to do that, by the old men, who know each other, who hate each other, but don't fight each other because they're dumb bastards.
I don't think that describes ww2 . . .

The scene where he stabs the french soldier, and finds out that he has a wife and kids made me cry ngl. Seeing the realisation on his face, he knows that he has just killed a man with a life. That man he killed wasn't just a soldier. He was a husband. A father. A son. A nephew. A brother. A human.
Broke the fk out that 4th wall with that scene, didn't they?

The most terrifying thing about this movie is how Paul slowly detireaites throughout the movie, it shows what the effects of war has on a young man, great edit.
Glad you liked it
I sure did
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend the film "Come and See". The same happens to the protagonist in it. All Quiet on the Western Front and Come and See are masterpieces.

For me the hardest part of this movie was the beginning. Seeing those boys full of life, joy, strength, and pride. Knowing soon it will all come to ruin.
Yes that's what I wanted to show in the edit how the boys were all cheerful and pride and how the war changed everything

Nah my heart breaks at that part😭
"Only the ones that die see the end of the war" if you think about it, this quote is pretty true, there'll be always war, even if we dont know about the war, the country "Niger" has an civil war going on for 2-3 years now and most people dont know, if you die, peace finally awaits you, I guess???

In the book in doesn't die in a final huge and violent fight. He dies the last day of war from a random enemy bullet. On a quiet day with no fighting. So quiet that the radio man of his section reported that all was quiet on the western front
this movie really showed me what war is all about
This movie is pacifist propaganda. War is important for a society to function.
simply one of the best depiction of the movie
As a German, my great great grandpa was in World War I then my great grandpa was in World War II my great great grandpa left a message that my family still keeps safe he said “I couldn’t kill the innocent British soldier with a big hammer. I didn’t want to kill him, but then a German soldier told me.” “ smashes head with a fucking hammer.” “And so I did so because they threatened to kill anybody who didn’t obey the officers orders and he was an officer.” my great grandpa, who was in World War II said “ Today we have invaded Warsaw Poland and we successfully did it. We are planning to invade Denmark, Norway, Finland, and France to in the future.” and we still have those two messages from them to this day. Edit: and the reason why I put it in English is because not a lot of people speak German and I know how to translate stuff in English because I learned English Spanish and German. Well I knew German ever since I was born because I’m German but I just had to translate everything
Война - это зло
Это капитализм направил одни народы на другие народы Европейские народы и также немцы и русские сокращаются , вымирают, рождаемость на минимуме Зачем воевать когда можно жить в мире
my great-grandfather from Siberia went through the Second World War from 1941 to 1945, finishing it in Berlin, had several military awards, but never told anything specific about the war... at most, these are a couple of stories not related to military operations. there is nothing good in war - I hope that the current conflict in Ukraine will not go into a more serious phase

Really great 4k edit, dude. I loved the way you showed that the soldiers were pretty enthusiastic to fight, and it was impactful to watch their friends die right in front of them, knowing their death was certain. Nice sync as well. Keep it up!
Appreciate it
The most saddest part of the movie is when Paul gets stabbed right befor the war ended
Paul is based on: Henry Nicholas John Gunther
@@NeoAArmy no paul is not based on anybody, he is just a perspective of a german soldier in ww1
@@sdifarkanaraynarnugroho7213 No, he's based of Henry Gunther.
Paul killed so many people in that movie. The reason you dont feel the same way for them is you didnt see their story until that point but each death should be just as tragic. War should always be the last option not used by politicians to seem tough like we saw in ww1 and returning in today's age.
I'm crying and it's not because how emotional this video is but how terrifying this video is
This was truly the greatest generation...🥀

@@Belugamale8738 because if you see a enemy soilder and think of him as human with emotions family and all that stuff every single time it is not only gonna break you down emotionally even more than if you just stopped thinking about it but it would also distract you which is not good in a setting like war
its truly sad to lose every friend and being left alone by your self to fight one of the most dangerous wars plus he died😢😢😢😢😢
The scene where he did 1 minute before the war ended actually happened. he was the last person to die in WW2. His name is Henry Nicholas John Gunther, an American Soldier.

2:23 I remember seeing the scene where he’s trying to give him water. Never understood it because I was like 7, but.. now I understand nobody wants to die for nothing in a war.
...this movie came out in 2022...so unless you're now 9 years old, I highly doubt two years would make any difference. Unless, you saw the 1979 version and the exact scene remains more or less unchanged

Imagine going through the trauma of war then years later you see an after dark edit of it on KZhead
this movie and edit are great it really shows how gritty and painful war is unlike Hollywood they think its gritty and a happy ending. My great grandfather told me this when I was young and wanted to be a soldier in war there's no such thing as a happy ending.
These types of movies hit diffrent, mixed emotions everytime i watch one
I watched this masterpiece yesterday and I felt that it was the war and diplomatic pressure that made Hitler furious and outrageous in anger to start another war in future
The sad thing about war is when 1 side has better weapons, all it does is make the other side have better loses. Always think when your winning, all it does is makes the other person loose something, and you never know what they truly have left
One day this will hit million views ❤
Hope so 💓💓
it hit it
I used to think that war was about soldiers who had a fiery spirit to fight their enemies to death to achieve victory, but soldiers are also humans, and have hearts too, he goes through various obstacles not only war but also sees the death of several of his friends in his own eyes, killing soldiers who apparently have families waiting at home, have stress, fatigue, depression, sadness, and PTSD, and the worst case ended in death in a pile of corpses, Rest in peace soldiers
This movie is one of the few movies that make me cry. usually I don't cry to movies, not because i don't think those movies are sad, but because I know they aren't real. this one just feels real. and knowing that very similar thing happened in the actual war just devastates me.
Put this song into anything and it's unbelievable
Nice
i think they should show this in school to show te horrors of war
They should show the Russians
Some schools in germany did (of course 7-9 classers) to show how brutal, cold & dark WW1 was, and to teach us that such an event should not happen again.
This movie tells the truth about war, to all my brothers, no matter what country you are in, no matter where you come from, we are one, we are the future of the earth. Together, we must keep this world peaceful, not letting anyone die in vain.
I LOVE the music and movie scene matchups, GREAT EDITS, love these war film edits, I just wish I was a bit older to watch these.

This video is a perfect demonstration of the quote:- War is like a game to those who haven't experienced it.(call of duty 4 modern warfare probably some wise old Chinese man maybe sun tzu)
These are the words of Erasmus of Rotterdam (16th century). It seems that the war has never really changed.
This is the average ww1 experience that truly happened
bro you gave us the best edit of this movie, it was perfect, congratulations 🎉🎉

the feeling after surviving all of that terrible stuff...he must've wanted to end it all.
War is when the young and stupid are tricked by the old and bitter into killing each other
Ulusun hayatı tehlikeye girmedikçe çıkarılan savaş,savaş değil,cinayettir. ~Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
I felt that even though I'm a man, you can stand up for yourself, you have to fight for the country, this life is your destiny for nothing to fight for in politics
Even though as an American, this is the greatest war movie ever made. For me it surpasses Saving Private Ryan, 1917, Dunkirk. It has happy moments, sad moments, and the theme is amazing. A story of pride and death but it’s so much more than that. I cried like 4 times. And the score is amazing. Bravo!
One of the things that made this movie so incredibly devastating, at least in my opinion, is that we follow Paul through all this. He slowly deteriorates, sees everyone around him dying, he cant do anything about it, he feels somehow important to us, since we can relate to his reactions. And in the end, everything he saw, all the horrors of those useless massacres, we expect him to go home, think about it and tell the story. But no, the Stories he found, the man with a family he killed, all his friends wishes, all useless, all just as if it never happened, sinc ePaul just dies as well. And noone else knew I guess the movie wanted to show us, that all that was as inhumane as it gets, but no one gives a fuck about you, you dont count. This film, is a remarkable masterpiece

They could have been friends... if it weren't for the uniform
Respect for the ones who fought for us and their service
They fought for nothing but line the pockets of already rich billionaires, same with every modern war.
The fact that he was less than a minute away from the end of the war he died
the bit towards the end when the guys getting drowned in the puddle genuinely kept me up at night for 3 months 3:46

Haunting and powerful.
"And the worst part about making a soldier of a man is not that a soldier kills brown men or white men, but that the soldier loses his own soul." -Elbert Hubbard
The more you read about WW1 the more horrific you realise it was, all the new weapons created and yet often it would come down to hand to hand combat. During the battle of passchendaele so many men and animals drowned in the muddy craters without even firing a shot. 35 Australian soldiers were killed for every metre of ground taken, just imagine that a whole platoon with lives whipped out for a metre.
I haven't watch the movie yet, but with this edit its very understandable thank you.

The grenade is actually more realistic than the fire ball in other movies
War is always useless, it’s always for small reasons, yet we see it so often
You'll loose and traumatize so much
rip too the soldiers who lost their life so everyone could feel safe.
You know, every time I watch this film, you always, feel sorry for the brave men, who fought in the Great War. It didn't matter whether, you were British, French, Italian, Russian, German, Ottoman or whatever country you came from, they at this point, probably thought, 'What was the point of all this?'
