I am thirteen and I play call of duty, halo, battlefield and the rest. This kids action is so difficult to believe that when I saw the video title, I thought the vid was from the onion. People like this give all gamers a bad name, especially those who play violent games. I don't even curse when I play, I don't get mad when I get killed, most people don't. But then folks like this come out and shoot people because they won't be able to reach prestige 15 in a week. This only makes non-gamers even more upset at the non existent "effect" violent games supposedly have on peoples mind. This has gotten so bad that when the eight year old shot his grandmother while playing GTA (which was concluded by police to be an accident, as the kid thought it was a toy), people thought the game TOLD HIM TO KILL HIS GRANDMA. This is awful. Especially considering most people who want to ban violent video games don't have any experience with video games, and want to do so solely based on events like this.

When I was 13, all I had were video games. I didn't have friends and was frequently bullied up for years. Looking back, if my parents would've grounded me at that age, I would've been pissed off as well, but never once did I lay hands on either of my parents in anger. I swore at them a couple of times and I even punched a hole in my wall once, but never did I actually think about shooting them. I've seen kids that just CAN'T handle violent stuff. From what I understood in the video, the kid had said to the father in the past that he wanted to kill her. If that's not a big warning sign for someone, then there's something wrong. Kids have been killing their parents over games since Dungeons and Dragons. It happened with Pokemon cards when I was six, Halo 3 when I was a teen, WoW, Runescape and other games. Like, for the love of God, when will parents begin to be parents again and stop depending on video games to fill their kids spare time so that the parents get to skip that part??? I think it's so blatantly apparent. I think kids who have disorders or are just brats aren't shown how to act and then they just throw a psychotic rage like this one. Ffs society.

It's a 20 gauge shotgun that I use for sporting clays, and never, nor will there EVER, be a time where I could build up so much rage from a VIDEO GAME to kill my own mother, or anyone for that matter. I do have to say though, games have a M Rating for a reason... I think some people look past the rating. Not saying that this is the mothers fault, because it sure is NOT the mothers fault. I don't think that it is the makers of COD ether. They put it as a M Rated game for a reason. The boy made a mistake and the ending result was the ending of his mother's life... I started playing violent games when I was 4 I was shooting on stuff after year 2 I started killing some people in the game. But I want to say that Im now 12 and Im not violent, Im even more calm because of some people in my school make me rage alot and I want somehow to get a revenge without hurting them in reality. When I was younger, I couldn't play M games because I was too young, now I'm A LOT older and my mother still thinks that M games should be taken off the market. When I was like 7 or 8 I played my first call of duty game. From then on out, I was a gamer and when I went to the carnival and they had a game where you shoot a gun that is loaded with a cork and try to knock over a plastic cup. I had the best aim out of 20 people that tried, they were all about 9 and I was the only one that was playing M games. Later in time, I was 11 and my mom said something stupid and I facepalmed. She, not being very knowledgeable with the internet, though I was going psycho and hitting myself. She grounded me from my Xbox and hid it. Later that month, my dad and I were cleaning the house and guess what we stumbled upon, my Xbox. My dad told my mom and she agreed to let me play it, as long as I didn't play M games. When I went to the store I wanted to get Assassin's Creed. I called my mom and asked her if I could. She scolded me about asking because she had told me not to bother her about video games. I asked my dad if he could talk to her and she said no. He asked what I saw in the game and I told him "I think it would be a good history lesson, with most of it being based from historical events." he said okay and threw the game in my hands and we rented it for a couple of days. My mom, after I came home from my dad's house, asked if I had rented that game and I said "I'm not going to lie to you, dad threw the game in my hands and we rented it." she then made it absolutely clear that if I had played another M game until I was 17 that I would lose every electronic that I own. Just 2 months after that, my great aunt and uncle come for a visit and we talk about things involving games like that. My aunt said that she had gotten her 12 year old grandson nearly every game on the market, INCLUDING Assassin's Creed. I think my mother took on from that.

My Grandpa gave my and my brother a .22 caliber rifle as a gift when I was 10 and we only used it to shoot targets down in the woods.
And no offence meant, but your grandpa was stupid to do that. I don't care if he takes you to the range and shoots with you, but no kid ever should be allowed to have his own gun. Ever. Period.
m The gun is registered in my Grandfathers name. It is securely kept in a gun safe. My Grandfather holds firearms licence for the gun. Guns are useful tools not toys. Target shooting is an olympic sport. It's idiots that don't obey the law that cause all the problems.

A .22 doesn't have a clip. You fire one shot, pull the lever, the brat comes out, and you insert another bullet. Also what parent gives there child a lethal weapon for their 11th birthday? My father only got me a BB gun when I was 15. It's only use now is to just shoot a black bird, the bird lands on the ground, then my cat grabs it, take it underneath my porch, torched it, then rip off and eat its head. Not kidding he actually does that. That leaves me to clean up his weekly corpses.
