  • I love a good cli tool, but cyberchef has both a method to share, export and load recipes (via json files i think) and has an api thay can leveraged. You can also download the source and host on your own internal machine. But I might start using this myself.

  • Cyberchef can be downloaded to your computer though, it doesn't have to run exclusively in the browser.

    • He wants a CLI/scriptable solution. Basically a solution that doesn’t require mouse clicks/GUI interaction

  • Wouldn't it have been better to add a new ECBNoPadding mode rather than editing and breaking the existing ECB mode. Almost as trivial to implement.

    • I reckon the intention was maintain the traditional "py" for python and perhaps was meant to be pronounced "che-pi" (?) but I agree Chephy sounds a lot better.
