In Kazakh culture, adults cannot compete against children, as it is dishonest. Dimash had agreed to participate in this American competition, only on the condition that there were no children. Except that by "accident", Dimash met a child backstage and he learned that there were 2 children aged 11 and 13 if I remember correctly, who participated in this contest! They had been careful that Dimash did not cross them. So, not long before the end of the competition, as soon as he heard about the children, he told the jury that he was stopping the competition immediately. That it was not done in his culture to fight against children. There was a million dollars to be won, he had almost already won it, but he preferred to turn his back on the people who had betrayed him. This is our whole Dimash, a man of integrity and humanity. We don't just love him for his many talents, but for his rare personality.

The show was The Worlds Best, from which Dimash removed himself because of his wish to nurture young performers and not compete against them. They treated him dreadfully . The show was axed after this first season. Loved your reaction❤️

This show was World's Best that Dimash was invited to perform on. The first thing he asked was if there were children competing as in Kazaghstan adults do not compete with children & he was told no so he agreed to go on. Then in, I think his 3rd or 4th show he found out he was competing against 2 young girls & he asked to step away from the competition because of that. He explained what he'd been told & that in his culture they believe in building children up so that's why adults do not compete with children. Ru Paul, 1 of the American judges called his request "BS" & had a right go at him saying he knew what he'd signed up for. They did not show Dimash explaining his decision on TV which was not fair as it made him look bad. Unfortunately too, the singers performed the whole sings but only a part was shown on air. If you want to see Dimash perform the whole song then you need I Am Singer performance. Great reaction! Thanks 😊

1st - 'All By Myself' is by Eric Carmen in 1975 and Celine Dion made it famous again with her cover in 1996. 2nd This is the show 'The World's Best', where they lied to Dimash and told him that he would not have to compete against children and then that was exactly the case. They also, chopped up Dimash's performances. Dimash quit the show because he will not compete with children. Because of the way he was treated on that show, Dimash's fans (Dears) will not have anything to do with reactions from that show. There's many other performances of this song by Dimash - on the 'I Am The Singer' Chinese show and during many of his concerts. He often plays around in the middle of the song on stage, doing crazy vocals just for fun. Thank you for checking out Dimash, but please don't use anything from 'World's Best'. :)

Hi Mattie, thanks for reacting to Dimash. Great and entertaining reaction! If you can watch Dimash performing Adagio at Singer 2017, that's be awesome. I'm sure you'll like it. By the way, this performance of All By Myself is not his best version by any means. They cut all the buildups that he had in other All By Myself performances.
As a musician I'm surprised that you are not aware this is not a Celine Dion song. Her version was also a cover. It was originally written and recorded by Eric Carmen in the 1970s and became a huge hit for him. I'm sure you appreciate the need to give credit where credit is due and not where it doesn't belong.
Thank you! I am also surprised (and annoyed) when this mistake is made. I noticed that even the original uploader of the video inappropriately titled it but also see that some of the reactors corrected it once the mistake was pointed out. Perhaps Mattie was simply misled by the error in the title of the original posting to youtube. One should always identify this song most with Eric Carmen, though. He would have a right to be offended that someone else is getting credit for his song!

Of course, Celine covered it just as Dimash did but all of the credit for this pop masterpiece goes to Eric Carmen for writing the lyrics, recording the original version and taking it to a higher position on the Billboard and Cashbox music charts than anyone who recorded it later. Celine's version wasn't even recorded until 22 years after the fact! This is a matter of credit where credit is due. Music industry folks are very sensitive about this issue, and for good reason. When one artist's blood, sweat and tears go into creating a pop music masterpiece, someone who copied it decades later shouldn't be getting the credit for it.

@@LucindaGoins Yes, but when songs have become pop music standards, listeners (especially those with any kind of involvement in the music industry) generally come to know which versions are covers and which was the original. When an artist like Celine records a popular cover version of a classic pop hit, there is always plenty of reference and chatter about the original. So Mattie either missed that or is ignoring it----or perhaps was misled by the fact that whoever originally uploaded this song to Dimash's youtube channel made the same mistake!

I gave Mattie credit by suggesting that he may have been misled by the way the original upload of the video was titled. Several others who highlighted this issue appear to me to be more aggressive toward the reactor than I was. Not sure why you targeted me.

Of all the judge's comments, the one that stuck out for me was from Faith Hilll when she said that he had potential. LOL I bet she wishes she had that potential.

This is a Worlds Best video. They chopped this video up .Dimash left this competition because they lied to him to get him to sing., When he found out, he quit. The WB chopped all his songs he sang on the show
They chopped up everyone's songs, Michael. It's what commercial shows like that do. I'm not saying that's okay, only that everyone got treated the same in that regard. The real problem with this show is how they disrespected Dimash by lying to him about not competing against children. That part is pretty much unforgivable And then the way they responded to him when he respectfully left the competition.
Dimash Dears don’t like seeing anything from Worlds Best. Dimash quit the show because they lied to him saying he would not be competing against kids. He essentially gave up the million bucks for his integrity.
Hey am the first to comment so from what ik Dimash was not well here and it's not the best performance of all by myself" covered by him and my least fav the best one for me was the one from "THE SINGER 2017" he did so much in that and even added staccato and the notes were beautifully done and in that performance he hit the whistle notes you were talking about so iconic so you should of reacted to that one but nonetheless Dimash does amazing even when he isn't at his best.
"The World's Best" should have been renamed "The World's Biggest Turd"... most disrespectful show ever, and Dimash ended up walking off.... The Production lied to him when he said he wouldn't be competing against children in the competition [something Dimash is adamant about, because he wants kids to be encouraged and not placed in unfair disadvantages So Ru Paul [who I previously liked] absolutely insulted Dimash, and his culture... Dimash quit the show [he was about to win the $50k round and only had one more song to do for the $1M Prize -- which everyone already knew by then that he would win it] -- but the production not only demanded he ignore his cultural upbringing and compete head to head against 2 children that round; one was also a young girl he had been helping prior to the show. Ru Paul showed his disrespect for others, and laid into him, claiming Dimash was just an egotistical amateur wannbe using the stage to build a name for himself (which he definitely isn't, and didn't need to do)... Dimash remained calm, respectful, resigned from the competition, and was still courteous to perform for them and the audience There were many judges insulted by egomaniac Ru Paul (many ran streams condemning his actions after the show), and thanks to that insulting panel of 3 main judges [and nobody can even figure out how/why Drew Barrymore is considered an expert judge on talent], "The World's Best" is often considered to be one of the most distasteful competitions on air.

This was from the show “The Worlds’s best singer” and was a totally disaster and fiasco. The American production of that show was promised Dimash that he won’t compete with children and it was the only demand that Dimash had for participating on that show. But, ofcourse, Americans tried to trick him and they brought the children on competition and Dimash withdrew his participation in the middle of the show

The performance is well worth watching no matter how the show disrespected Dimash. Mattie was not aware of that situation when he selected this video.
When Dears make their enthusiastic recommendations for further songs, it is up to them to mention which performances to avoid. It's no use complaining afterwards. No, I don't like Dimash's performances at TWB either, exactly for the reasons that have already been mentioned. Nevertheless, it is interesting to analyse - especially the episode in which Dimash quits and the explanatory video of Patrice and Anita, the two American Dears who were in the audience at the time.
