What Fish should we add first?!⬇
Some annenomies and plants for sure
And I liked your idea of the great barrier reef
A eel mi
I think u should add some tester fish before u put anything that u would like to keep
Please a black tip shark❤
I've worked in the aquarium industry in a bunch of roles so take my advice fwiw. 1) Consider a protein skimmer. 2) Only top up with RO water, particularly if you have rays. 3) As others have suggested, some smaller scattered rock outcrops on the right side will make things look more natural. 4)A big school of Chromis or even better, some of the simpler Anthias species would look amazing. 5) Orphek's Amazonas LED pendants would light your tank perfectly.
Highly agree! He got it right on the head!
Hfhfgygfh😮😮😮😮😮😮
Love it, and I agree, put a lid!!! Then you can fill the water to the top and it will look better, fish can’t jump out, and will keep parameters stable! Can’t wait to see the future of this pond - and channel.
Your efforts and modesty are reflected in every video. Congratulations.
Would suggest framing the outside of the pond, will look so much better. So far looks good.
I agree and was going to comment about that…that is clearly a drop in pond…they should build a nice wooden unit around it
Stocking ideas for this massive saltwater tank? A couple of triggerfish, a couple of parrot fish, a couple of angelfish, a big spiny lobster, a couple of big tridacna clams, a pink-footed sea cucumber, several cleaner wrasses, several cleaner shrimps lots of cerith snails, lost of scarlet hermit crabs, a big conch snail, lots of macroalgae and a bonnethead shark.
Wont the parrotfish just eat all the invertebrates?
triggerfish and parrot fish will eat the clams ( also the clams need tonnes of calcium and high lighting) the sea cucumber, cleaner shrimp and hermit crabs. the bonnethead sharks get a metre long so too big. Also probably 1 cleaner wrasse because they need to eat constantly and they pick things off other fish which could stress the other fish out if they are constantly being picked at by tonnes of cleaner wrasses.
I would definitely frame the outside pond, it would look so good! Start with a frame and fill it in with some nice fence pickets ! It would look killer guys ! Love how it came out btw ! Keep up the good work !
I think you should make several smaller hides/structures and turn it into a reef style pond.
Hey guys and Brooke, thanks for the content I love it. Can I please ask for the possibility of fish girl merch or maybe Brooke's battalion merch or something. Keep on doing what you do so we'll.
No
You should fill it up higher and add a ton of the bottles beneficial bacteria in the bottle to get that filter re seeded. When it sits everything died and is super toxic, need a few back washes and the BB to bring it back to life. First fish should be some Grunts or any cheap fish to cycle it. Then catch and release them. Looks great a couple big chunks from the place will be cool on the right, not the little pieces.
You should add a small school of monodactylus argenteus (mono angels) and a few Colombian shark catfish
I would try to add some rocks onto the wall of the tank, more like a professional aquarium. While it might be more permanent might work well, could be some sort of cliff-like thing overhang which fish really like The sand does make it look quite a lot better too!
Don’t think you need another structure, but a few small rocks scattered to the right side of the pond would look good
Exactly what I was thinking
𝓘 𝓬𝓪𝓷 𝓹𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮 𝓲𝓽 𝓻𝓷
What a beauty!! Finally looks like the way it should. That rock structure is so sick!!
I’m not gonna lie the king of diy is your best bet for affordable but great quality lighting watch his videos he such a help to this community
Maybe some more rock, but if get rays(like the one you saw out by the dock)you want open areas to. Fish-bright and colorful, corals and so on! It’s amazing what you guys catch out there in the wild. Loved the video guys-can’t wait to see what you’re gonna do next!
The rocks look amazing and you should definitely get small live coral plants to plant among the rocks to give it a more natural look
Corals aren't plants they are animals
Definitely put a lid on it. Fill it up to the top. Definitely would look better.
Get the led strips thats water proof around the rim that changes color and turns up bright 🌟
You should add first school of pajamas 20 would be cool!
I was thinking of tons of green chromis
Or lots of Sargent majors to start
@@zacdixon6841 Yeah, probably the best idea that way they won’t have to spend any money and just catch them
Will my advice is start downloading up with local fish you know hit the inlet and see what you can bring in and who knows you might be able to get that big angel fish in a couple of small parrot fish to get in there
It's Been A While Seeing You Guys!, Started My New Soberity Journey And With A New Job, Now I Have Proper Time To Catch Up, Keep Buzzin You Guys!🙌💯🤘
I went to sign up for the drop, and it took me to my order history. My first order was in April 2021 🥹🥹 Crazy that it’s already been almost 3 years down and y’all have FOREVER to keep soarin 😎🥹🙌🏻 But frfr Can’t believe it’s already been 3+ years since I started watching y’all 🥹 Thank you for making the dark days a little brighter, just with your pure love for fish 🐟 ❤️ #FishGuysForever #FishGirlsAreBetter
Congrats on your nice set up fishguys… Would be good to start with a school of blue/green chromis… They will cycle the pond and at the same time will be future fishes to lure the bigger ones to come out to eat and not just hide in the rock structure… Looking forward on your next video.. Keep up the good work… Regards from Singapore 🇸🇬…
It would be awesome to see a sea snake pond if its legal in Florida. Don't think we can own them in Australia. Love your vids
I suggest you mount the multi directional out take in the front right corner of the pond this will hide it better and still give decent flow to the pond.
Little eel castle on right side. Looks awesome so far
Wheres Your Horned Shark & The Walking 🦈 ??????
An awesome job on an awesome pond! Great job guys, keep up your great videos, thankyou, can’t wait to see fish added to your pond, literally so cool!
You should do led lights around the salt water pond! That would look crazy cool!
Hey Guys, you should put rocks between the sand and the crushed corals so they doesn't mix. Greetings from Austria.
Great add to the outlet😊
Its back!! 🎉🎉
Yessir❤❤❤
Those beanies are so lit I'm definitely getting one.
They're fire!!!🔥
A big school of look Downs first. I would put a surface skimmer off of your intake line and make a pvc diy surface skimmer too. And that way you can set your height and you'll know where to set the sensor for ato. And for lighting just get four or five decent-sized Radeon lights and hang them above the pond spread out. You're going to want something with blue light for saltwater just to bring those colors out better in your fish. A lot saltwater fish have iridescence under blue light.. special your angels.
scatter some smaller rocks on the other side of the pond and maybe add some live salt water plants as well. Then the pond would be perfect
Hanging a light from the ceiling might be a little difficult due to the position of the garage door. Other than that I think it's looking great. Have you thought about exhaust fans for when the garage door is closed? The humidity level will be rather high and could lead to mold and mildew on the walls and ceiling. Great job guys! Looks amazing!
You should add more rocks on the right side for sure.. and if possible build some kinda cave/rock system that blocks the view from the window of the flow system.. obviously dont block the pipes flow but like build the rocks in a way that u still have good flow but without having to stare at pvc pipe.
I´d suggest putting some single rocks into the open so that it doesn´t look so empty, but still has a lot of room for the fish to swim in
Maybe add small multi colored led pool lights within rock so can light those up while other light off..would look badda$$
I really hope you just add a tonne of small reef fish would look incredible and lively
i think it would be nice looking if you would add more stone structre to the back of the sturcure thats in so that it would be ab big cave. you could put little led spots in the cave with the corall glue. nature has al lot of cave. a lemon shark would be sleeping in a cave or under a cave legde :)
Guuuyyyssss looks awesome! I can't wait to see it clear and full of life! The only thing I can think of is maybe you can find some sort of live plants for it? I'm sure after fish go in it'll be more vibrant but I feel like it needs some extra umph if that makes sense XD besides that looks awesome. If you decide to go for another rock structure on the right I think that'd look good too!
I'm from Oklahoma and it's still cold enough the grass isn't growing can't wait to hear a lawn mower😂
The king of DIY made some pretty cheap lights for over his tank maybe you could diy something like that for your pond to save some bread
Great job guys looks awesome
I don't think you guys need more rock, but the rock structure should have been directly the middle of the window so that larger fish could swim all the way around it and it would've eliminated the massive blind spot on the left!
MORE WATER!!! like literally 3 more inches!!
please remember to put covers on the pipes to prevent fish and eels from swimming in there
I love how you explain why you’re doing something, especially the carbon! Will look at adding some to our tanks Have you thought of a few salt water plants at the bank or near the coral
One pillar on the right with stone and space around its so fish can circle it and come back across the pond
And add a school of mullet or fire fish i think it would look ✨Amazing ✨
AIN'T NO WAY IVE BEEN GONE FOR SO LONG THAT THE NAMED CHANGED FROM BARBS BUZZIN
Bout time your back! We missed ya
Fs needs another structure in the right corner. Also framing the outside of it would look dope af!🤌🏻
You should add one or 2 more rocks just to clean things up and even it out.
Gorgeous! I am excited to see it crystal and full of life! How is Mr Emperor Snapper doing?
It will brighten up the pond a bit
Boys boys boys. You should put a ship wreck piece in there look awesome with the reef and coral when it’s all done
Carbon is not the best to have translucid water I think you must get an UV filter for this job, in salt water a « proteine skimmer » is I think a must have too, good luck!
The cheapest way for lighting is to buy flood lights and attach them to the ceiling
I love your guys channel its time to buy your mystery fishing box, FINALLY!!!!🦈🎣🐠🐟
Sidenote, I’m def judging Chris for the socks in the pond 😭🤣 Just let the dogs out, bro 🐶😂😂😂
Make another little but deep cave on the right for smaller fish and invertebrates
Inverts like feather dusters, urchins, hermit crabs, starfish, and snails. Then corals and anemones. Just to start. Good luck!
Sock guy Chris over here getting the perfect ratio of sand to crush corals one foot at a time lol ❤😂
Would love to see some plant life in there, but some more rocks might be nice too. Should get a cpl rays
If they put plants the pond will be super 🎉🎉
at 5:09 in the video Chris accidentaly hit the last rock with his foit and it " MOVED " if you do not want those rocks to fall put some more " cement " in that rock .......
You definitely need to get rid of some of that pvc make it more flush to the wall it'll look better and they don't need to be as deep into the pond plus shortening it uo making it flush to the wall will change the jet angle so it doesn't blow at the sand at all
Put the flowage in the front corner window side and it would hide it more
Have you see Paul Cuffaro's newest video about building his rock reef? Very interesting regarding glue, putty, etc. and locking the bottom stones in place.
You should build a rock colom in the middle of the rock area. Also, you should make the outflow piping go side to side and then put Tpipes through it(T--T-+-T--T) and after put the tripe out holes on the Tpipes so it simulates waves you also now have the issue of the water distribution since it should make even as it can be in flow
Coral trout from Australia would be good to see in there
I absolutely love this channel and yall so much i get so excited everytime yall post ! 🎉❤
Quality video once again lads
Looking at the water level and noticed the cut out for the glass fixture looks to be off level a bit. This could have effect on structure stability and integrity.
Omg, That looks so good already. I still say you need a Morish Idel. I wish I could have one, Sadly I can't so I have a school of Heniocus banner fish. The closest thing I can get to it. Love you guys. Keep up the great videos.
i would give the reef some colourful light to make it look like it is GLOWING
It looks amazing! Can't wait to see it with fish in!
It's looking sick guys, can't wait to see what you put in it 😍
Are stringray and a bull shark and a giant eel a giant barracuda and a octopus 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bull shark are too big bro 🦈😠😠😠😠😠😠
Bull sharks are to big
Weed growing lights work just as good as any aquarium light. Way less expensive, and in my opinion work better.
Try checking out carab sea. They have rocks that can b assembled for reef structure. Like a modular type of rocks for reef structures. Check it out you will get satisfied on what they have... And its a lot cheaper that natural rocks but looks better and natural.
You guys should add the fish guy logo in the background wall. The pond look sick.
You should watch Paul Cuffaros videos and get some ideas from him he is also from Florida and i have been watching you guys and him from garde 8 and i have now graduated school 😂lol and why i ask you to see his videos is because he is also has many saltwater ponds he customly built and he can give you ideas for what fish to put in and im hounered to be a fish guy and gollow you along your awesome journey in youtube thanks for all of the hard work and teaching us about fish and the ocean you are much appreciated and i hope you dont put big predator fish since there is so much more reef fish you guys can put in (see pauls vid and you will understand) there are many different types of tangs ,angel fish ,clown fish, zebra eels and so much more you can put in.....cant wait for the next video !
I don’t know if I can get a hold of you but I have a question for you about the car that I have for you and I need to know if you have any questions about it or if you have a minute to talk about it or not I just wanted to ask you a question about it I have a question about the car and I have a question about the yui
Nice gains Chris don't forget leg day!!!
Once the Great Barrier Reef saltwater pond is ready, I also got some of these following suggestions for you to choose from for your next saltwater pond. Following suggestions: 1. Florida Keys mangrove swamp, Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, South Florida coastline 2. Florida Keys seagrass meadow, Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, South Florida 3. Monterey Bay kelp forest, California coastline, east Pacific coastline Once you have chosen one of these following suggestions, just let me know and we'll keep in touch. Greetings from New Rochelle, New York state. 🇨🇦🇺🇲🇲🇽🗽💙🌊🤿🔱🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♂️🧜🏻🦑🐙🪸🪼🐚🦐🦞🦀🦈🐟🐠🐡🐢🐊🦆🦩🐧🦅🦭🐬🐋
A capped piece of PVC with holes drilled in it would allow you to have a nice spray bar wall
Looks awesome can’t wait see what fish you put in
Feel the pond to the top this time
Also you could build a fake structure under the pipes n make it look like its meant to be there with some fake coral or seaweed hung on pipes to disguise them
King of DIY makes his lighting
The rock structure does look good , I hope your epoxied & glued it well, did I hear you say tap water 👀😭🤦🏻♂️? Said many a times get the pond an ATO , never even see you run them in the tanks inside both properties, first thing a “fish guy” adds for stability of salinity 🤷🏻♂️🤔 maybe look into running ozone but then again if no Ato then maybe leave ozone alone as a long to take in 😂
I think the structure is good the way it is it's not overbearing they're still hide spots but you got a lot of swim space I think you're going to need that swim space
Will you guys be putting up mesh on the openings on your outtake? I've seen people who have this type of pond build their own light stands through the middle of the top of the pond so the lights will light the whole thing up and they used led so they can change the color of the lights
Looks Great. Can’t wait for the fish. Can Yall get some clown fish to start with?
Love your videos. Is there any chance of some coral or plant-life for this pond? Would probably depend on the species you plan on housing in the pond (reef pond/pelagic pond)?
Get a big L bracket on the back wall behind the tank so it leans over the tank with a big light on the end ❤
Looks good just like that you need to add lights ASAP. 👍🏽
Gotta start with some Sargent majors to cycle it but then go for clowns, fire fish, star fish, cabs, snails, shrimp, tang, angels Hopefully eels, rays, sharks, and parrots will come it too
So you guys basically just made a man made ocean. Respect!
