  • Jimmy and Higgins have one of the nicest relationships ever. I love how they appreciate, acknowledge and look out for each other. Jimmy is one of the most humble and lovable people on TV. People give him shit for being fake but seems like he's just excitable and genuinely enjoys life. People think it's fake because we're not used to people being so nice. He deserves all the success he has; he always gives Higgins equal credit for what he is. Always. Nice people deserve their success.

  • I'm not sure why, but this is my favorite Jimmy Fallon interview ever. You can clearly see his sense of humor, honesty and humility here. He deserves all his success, and he remains one of the nicest guys in the business - and that's something, because the industry he's a part of can be unrelenting at times. Whether people think he's unfunny or a drunk(which I admit sometimes is the case), I'll still be a fan of the guy, like I've always been. Because above everything else, it's clear to me that Jimmy is a born entertainer who loves to put a smile on people's faces.

    • I was lucky enough to meet him many years ago during his SNL days. HE really is everything you hope he is. I'll always love him and support him, even though I am not always a fan of the show.

    • I think unfortunately he has to kind of put on a character when he does his show, but I too love him at his more natural state. I'd advise all the late night guys to not ham it up so much, that's why I kinda gravitate more towards Kimmel and Conan atm, because they are more of just themselves. My favorite was Craig Ferguson.

      @acarlovonsexron1994@acarlovonsexron19946 жыл бұрын
    • I agree completely. I think too many execs and producers behind the scenes are trying too hard to get him to act like they want, and the result becomes awkward at times. Conan and Craig's successes have come from the fact that they didn't change from their silly, naturally funny selves, in order to appeal to more viewers. My personal favorite was Jay Leno. I loved his monologues and I've watched him from the beginning to the end. My current favorite talk show host is Graham Norton. I would highly recommend his show.

  • LOVE Jimmy Fallon. Have crushed HARD on him since the late 90s when he started on SNL. When he took over hosting LATE NIGHT from Conan, I got tickets to one of his very first shows. On St. Patty's Day of 2009 I went to 30 Rock and got a GREAT aisle seat and saw his guests the late, great BILL PAXTON and some young girls named the KARDASHIANS, whom nobody had ever heard of at that time. Great memories I will always cherish.

I think as well, whatever your issues may be/have been with others in the industry, not everybody is always comfortable speaking on it much because it can bring a lot of negative attention. I think that might be a reason people think he's 'fake,' but in fairness, a lot of other celebrities are wary of what they say.

He was like a Fresh Prince character or a Jamie Foxx character before those shows ever existed. The new Lionel was goofy in a goofy way. He was almost a running joke, but not like Steve Urkel or Kimmy Gibbler in the way that they grew on you. Once I saw the new Lionel in an episode of the Jeffersons, I stopped watching the Jeffersons. He and Jenny don't have the same chemistry that original Lionel had with Jenny. My parents put on an episode of the Jeffersons the other day and I cringed. The new Lionel is like if JJ Evans was braggadocios but didn't also have charm to balance it out or if JJ only had looks and no talent.
