  • So, by using a step down transformer to take mains current from xxxVAC to 15(or so) VAC, you rule out the need for an oscillating circuit because the AC mains is oscillating. Probably 50hz in the builders are, but it would be 60hz in the United States and Canada. The slow oscillation rate is why the water heats so slowly, and why there is so little water in the pan. I doubt the permanent magnet does much. It might even detract from the efficiency. The AC oscillation is not going to make the permanent magnet flip. This might have been better to have left the conductor insulated remove the permanent magnet and wrap the coil tighter. Without a way to control the current to the coil, too big a pot if water with too much water might draw so many amps the insulation would melt. Very good build. Simple and uses items pretty much everyone has in their homes.

    • @@rajaappa2252 You are writing complete nonsense. Who said 20 A? You divided 240 volts by 12 volts and got the transformation ratio only. Where did you get the idea that there is 1 A in the primary, and not, for example, 10 A?

      @Angelorademon@Angelorademon7 ай бұрын
    • that large of a conductor could draw 50 amps. Without a control circuit the draw will be as much as the pan of water needs to boil the water. If the original mains circuit is on a 50A breaker that heater might just draw 50 amps. But unless that transformer has wiring to handle the current the transformer is going to turn into a puddle of copper. The voltage is dropped by 1/20th so, in an ideal world, the current potential is increased by 20X.

Isn't it better to just buy a commercial induction cooker that does the same thing, but with a higher frequency and better efficiency? Permanent magnet? • Real induction cooktops run the coil off of rectified AC at 25-120 kHz using a resonant driver. At 50/60Hz, eddy current losses into solid iron as thin as this pot would be too low for water to boil as quickly as it did. There likely is trickery involved to either speed things up or deliver more power than this setup should be able to.

  • 😃DIY. A great way to build your own induction stovetop! #STEM, #Physics teachers take note: This is a real world demonstration of how cool vibrating magnetic waves can induce hot currents into nearby conductive materials. That part is standard physics. But what is more amazing is the addition of a permanent magnet, properly placed at the center of the coil. Its larger magnetic field is pushed and pulled by the lessor oscillating magnetic field of the spiral coil. Look closely, it is precisely where this magnet is located where the hot bubbles rise! Explore the cause and effect relationship with an Experiment with and without magnet and with a stronger Neodymium magnet.

  • This is definitely fake. It is not possible to heat or make a strong inductive current using a source with 50Hz. The frequency must be much higher than that.

  • 😊😊There's nothing strange about it, it follows Faraday's and Lent's laws. When a magnetic field moves through a coil of conductor, an electric current is generated. moves in the coil as well. And when electric current moves in the conductor coil, it creates a magnetic field around the conductor coil as well. The space of this conductor coil if we take any material that is an electrical conductor Let's move through this space. This conductor material will was cut through by a magnetic field It causes electricity as well, and everywherewith electric current flowing through It will always generate heat. This principle is used in general heaters😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
