I am a hoarder by nature and come from hoarder forebears. My mom and Gram. I have collections of everything and excited to think of using them in junk journaling.

I love your covers. They are awesome. I've used cereal boxes, backs of tablets, the bottom of large paper bags from Winco and the covers of magazines. I glued the magazine overs together till I was satisfied with the thickness. A while back I ordered some papers that included as, book pages, music ect ect. I didnt quite know how to use them till I watched this video. Thank you for posting this. It seems like you knew exactly what I needed to see. A couple of years ago, about the time I started making paper crafts, my daughter-in- law told me that my apt looked kinda like I was getting to be a horder. That was before I saw my first junk journal and started saving all kinds of cardboard from cereal boxes to close tags and egg cartons, so yes I'm officially a horder now, but my hord is semi organized lol. I just need a craft room to get totally neat !!!

Ooo! I realize this is an older video, but I'm just seeing it now. And, I must say that I love how you used such a large bird image on the inside of your sample journal. I am always struggling to find a way to use those large, beautiful images. Thanks for the idea!

I have picked up some wonderful ideas and tips from you and watching this, I have one for you.......why not scan those lovely collage pages and sell them as digital prints? @@joiedefi Update: I decided to use a folder instead. It's going well! Do you have any recommendations for a sort of gloss over it? The regular glue just seeps through it and makes it soggy...
I avoid too much PVA glue. You could try a thin coating of gesso...it adds a bit of rigidity and dries well without covering images and patterns if you add a thin coat. It also sticks things down a bit. Just an idea. It's what I do to mine. ❤️❤️🌿

These covers are so beautiful. I like the way you don't glue the entire piece down so if you want to tuck under or over you can leave the other pieces in at your leisure. that makes a lot of sense so many times I start to do something and then I realize that I have to cover it with something else.
