I was really hoping they’d add copper wiring. Red stone covered with copper will make a cable which is a essentially red stone but it can be placed in the air kinda like chains. It would provide a building block for as well as a red stone tool.
This. Please, Mojang
maybe some way to fuse it into blocks so it wouldn't take up a full block space and you could run circuits through walls.
It could be used in the air and be placed underwater, but i would also think there would need to be a dedicated block for translating the power for it
@@fanamatakecick97 no, any normal redstone power should work, we don't need new blocks to serve the same purpose as old it's one of the things that gets ideas rejected
@William Mullaney haha, I remember playing all those minecraft wannabe mobile games before I actually bought the game.
I had completely forgotten about the Nether Core. I remember spamming the apple store reviews, begging for the nether to be added to PE. So when they added this, me and my friends naturally all had a sleepover and made our first one. Very weird, but very cool
It's crazy to think the reason it took so long is because so many devices were underpowered but now a handful of years later they're way overpowered
I remember that once you start to activate it, that you can mine the gold blocks before they turn into obsidian, so you can reuse for reactivating the nether core.
Yeah I forgot it
wow I'll admit, great video, if anyone was genuinely coming back to Minecraft after a 3+ year break then this is definitely the video I'd recommend!
I've still been playing off and on throughout the years but have hardly tried to learn the new updates since before the ocean update. Like I'm aware of most of the new stuff down there but have never actually even been to an ocean monument. Hell, I've hardly messed with enchanting ever, so never really saw much of the ocean before the update because I never had potions.
The shield came out like 6 years ago, but a lot of people didn't really use it till more recently. Just wanted to point that out, but great, informative video!
On Bedrock, it wasn’t added until Village and Pillage
@@fascistgamer6514 Oh, I see!
when i started playing minecraft there was only oak wood. i remember being sooo hype the day they first added more wood to the game. back during this time it was impossible for minecraft to add something that wasnt already a mod
Me too! I remember when cows couldn’t moo and when they finally added that, I was so excited but it sounded so funny!! Before horses, jungle biomes, and before endermen would would attack you when you looked at them! They used to be friendly until you hit them!
I always forget the lodestone exists and I’m so confused whenever I see it. Didn’t realize so much changed in the last 4-5 years, pretty awesome to see
Thank you so much for this video. I’m getting back into MC after 3 years away and it’s kind of overwhelming.
Bro I was just surfing your videos learning newer things I need to know and then you put this out today? Why thank you my good man.
my dad has been stuck on the legacy console for years, and just recently he got onto the newest Minecraft version, I could show him this video to catch him up
13:33 My next goal is to mine an entire woodland mansion block by block. Three reasons why. Obtaining tons of building blocks, discovering how many blocks it has, removing this massive cursed structure from MY classic sized world.
In the world of Java modded, there was an old mod (Random Things? Open Blocks?) that added a new type of lamp called a lapis lazuli lamp. It looked and worked similar to a redstone lamp, except it was colored blue. It had the interesting feature of lighting an area up as brightly as normal light sources, except that mobs that needed darkness to spawn in could still spawn because the light level wasn't actually changed. This made it possible to see into a darkroom (using modded's version of tinted glass) without also disabling the spawning. I think because there are captured souls in the blue flame this could be a nifty little feature of the soul lights (either they work like the lapis lazuli lamps did, or perhaps they cause the light-level restriction to be ignored when a spawning attempt is made).
I love these videos Toycat! Thanks for keeping Bedrock Minecraft relevant and exciting! I’d love to see another “Ranking” video for structures, biomes, mobs, etc, even a refreshed take of a prior. Cheers!
Wdym man, moat people play on bedrock anyway, which is arguably the way worse version, but microsoft cant exploit java so they try to push bedrock as much as they can
There is a rarest block people have never seen. It doesn’t have a name but I'll call it... depleted nether reactor. It is like a shadow orb. And looks like the top of smithing table on all side. I got that block by going back to the old version to activate the nether core “which is the blue thing in the thumbnail” and going back to the current version while the reactor is still active.
Interesting.
In my old 360 world I have a few bugged items, like a leather helmet with efficiency, and double enchanted bows. Also some weird items called “glowsticks” appeared in my inventory when I updated my world to Bedrock. I accidentally used one and it didn’t seem to do anything; 2 are still left stashed in a chest.
The nether reactor core has 3 stages, the first stage, which is inactive. The second stage, called "Initialized Nether Reactor Core" turns red, and the final "Finished" stage turns to a black-purrple ish color. You can look it up on the wiki :)
"people have never seen"? No, anyone who has used the nether reactor has seen it since it appears when it's activated.

I’m not even 5 minutes and and AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! I haven’t played much since maybe 1.12 and 1.13 to a lesser extent and just wow, it feels like the regular game is a heavily modded version of what I remember and it doesn’t come with a list of what to expect
I stop playing in 2015 or 2016, started playing recently and Wow, it was insane to see so many new things
As someone who has only been playing for the last 5 years, this was a neat look at the past.
I’ve been playing for over a decade now. I stopped after they added horses. Imagine me 😢
Am I the only one who expected him to use the goat horn at 1:00 to transition to raids?
The first time i ever found a ancient city in survival, the redstone room had a spawner inside, and the chests were not there 😭
I remember how these updates quite literally changed the World
Great video! Your segways and transitions between new features is on point.
ngl minecraft straight confusing these days
I needed this video more than you know. definitely earned a sub
dude i wish this video came out a month ago i logged on for the first time in a while & i was so lost
There is so much new stuff that I'm still getting used to in Minecraft, i used to play on Xbox 360 and XBone with my friends and this whole time I've been playing tje xbox one edition, not knowing itnwas discontinued years ago so switching to this new one has been crazy.
Do you have more videos like this? They’re helping me get back into the game.
Ok this being only 2 months old I wasn’t expecting u to talk about “older” stuff like the oven update and stuff like that
Exactly what I needed, thank you. Only thing is I wish there was a more comprehensive elaboration version of this video.
Last major update I played on minecraft consoles was the aquatic update on ps3 and the last major update I played on pocket edition was village and pillage so I have quite a lot to learn with the nether update and the caves and cliffs update (also I don't like the new ore generation in caves and cliffs everything I've ever known about ore spawns out of my near 8 years of playing minecraft just went out of the window)
This was so great!!! Thankyou!
Imagine having all these updates drop at once! Would be insane for a player!
I was wondering why in the heck I wasn't seeing much ore... this explains it. Thank You
Yo sick video! Can see it took abit of time
in the nether its a Piglin, in the overworld it turns into a Ziglin in the nerther is a Hoglin in the over world it turns into a Zoglin
This game changed so much I don't recognise it anymore. I miss the old days when I didn't have a care in the world, and I would play on my world.
Wtf happened here, I feel like a dad who went away and came just to see his boy had already become a man...
One type of wood variant missing is… Azalea wood ☹️
Plz Mojang
they should add a swamp wood (no i am not talking about mangrove)
Love this video !
Nice video man
Im getting back into mincecraft after like 10 years of not playing. I stopped playing when the 1.9 update came and you couldn’t spam attack anymore. Watching this video made me so curious of the game so i am gonna buy it again now
The last time I played minecraft was in 1.7.2, Loooooooooooooong ago, I have no idea what's happenint in new minecraft, its a but overwhelming the new things
Wow this is the literal exact thing I was looking for, including the last time I played Minecraft...
I just got Minecraft 2024 I think it is. Oh my gosh, it's so terrifying. It's not like what I played during middle school in the elementary school. I missed the old updates thank you for your video
I feel like zombie horses don’t get talked about very much at all, ya know? They’re still very much in the game.
Is it bad that I actually like the phantom?
No. Don't let the community brainwash you into thinking it's bad.
what do you like about it?
We need more mobs like the phantom. Not necessarily fliers, but mobs designed to impact the player because they just straight-up ignore and/or disrespect certain features. A landshark able to burrow through basic worldgen blocks that can hear your stomach growling (when hunger is low enough to disable sprinting). A wraith or spectre or some new undead (for the love of Notch, stop making zombie or skeleton variants!) that temporarily steals your vitality or saddles you with "a burdensome curse" if you die too frequently. An ecowarrior that spawns when a certain number of item entities are left on the ground who picks them up and throws them at you like snowballs (even if like snowballs they don't do damage you're still suffering the damage animation).
@@matthewlofton8465 most of these things already have consequences though. if you ignore your hunger bar for too long you'll starve. if you die repeatedly you lose any experience you gained except like seven levels. if you drop too many items on the ground and leave them for a long time they despawn and you lose them for good.
Nah i like it too
I havent played since 2018 so i needed this xd.
thanks, helped a bit but i was hopin it would be a video about since like 10 years ago hahaha because thats when i serously played minecraft for the last time.
This vid helped me because i was so lost
A Double Feature (two streams). Was this the cartoon before the main show. Or, really ancient, is this the Newsreel before the feature?
Im most of the time playing 1.17 gen. because custom biomes dont work with 1.18 gen.
I think emerald gear should exist but i think in addition to that there should also be blackstone gear
I'm so glad there's a toggle for insomnia/phantoms because holy crap what an awful mob, like seriously miserable
I need a list of the biggest changes since infdev
Don't know anything after 1.17 but actively played in 1.17 and 1.19-1.20

3:35 Did you seriously have to censor the word “maps”?
In my opinion: they should bring back the Nether core to survival and reamp it so that you don't need to go to the nether for some stuff like blazerods
Completely disagree. If you want to complete the game you need to go to both the nether and the end.
@@aceplante yep
@@aceplante Completely Disagree we should have the Nether core and the Nether if you want so that we have a choice
@@aceplante reason: because piglins and ghast are very very very annoying to deal with 🗿
@@theuchihagod1 but that's the whole point of the nether, it's a dangerous dimension that you have to overcome to have a chance to beat the dragon. Like imagine being able to skip to the final level of something like a mario game because you just find the other levels annoying, that would just ruin the entire point of the game
