That Tucker is a good lookin' dude.
I believe one of your dogs is a griffon wired hair pointer. I have one for pheasant hunting she is an awesome bird dog with such a personality!
Good 👍 hunting
Love the point at 10.07 :-)
I believe the second bird is a spruce grouse. The grouse in the tree are spruce grouse. Note the red above the eye.
Stephen Kutney I wondered if someone was going to mention that. Surprised that they didn’t explain that to viewers. After all, these guys are the experts! One other “point of order” - in Canada we pronounce “portage” like “port - AZJ” with the accent on the second syllable, as the word originates from French, not “PORT- edge” which is the American pronunciation. When in Rome...
@@RodMurray Port .....aagseeh. Oui, si vou plait. Grouse were the wrong colorage for Ruffed. I shot something like the same in Idaho; called 'fools hen' or Blue Grouse. Stupid birds. Kill them with a slingshot. Or a well-aimed 22lr pistol.
Roger Beckner “s'il vous plait”
@@RodMurray Sorry, French classes were about 46 years ago.
set the hook like you mean it George!
First like first comment
What kennel does George get his pointers out of? Good looking dogs and you can tell George does some real training.
Hay Creek Kennel in Gilman WI. I live in Georgia but have hunted grouse with George for 24 seasons in WI, since long before he was a TV star. LOL.
come on man I walk with in 5 feet of grouse and pop em you guys must be in a heavy hunted area
Where i go hunting i can pretty much walk up to the grouse to like what you said and where i hunt there is still a good amount of hunters just that where i hunt its more north to where these guys are hunting in ontario
How can anyone hunt with the gun broke open .
Safety first! It is easy to pump the right hand upwards to lock the barrels closed. Haven't hunted with doubles much, eh? I can fire, eject, and load with one hand on the pistol grip and drop the shells in with my left. Depends on what you are used to. Worst is having a flush while the gun is over your shoulder. Almost a 2 second penalty for that carry option.
to be honest loved the video , as an Ontario bird hunter I love the traditional hunts but for heaven sake man loose the electronics , hunt the bird .... use the electronics for lost dogs only
Looks like they shot several birds on the ground / in a tree ...?
spruce grouse even...in a tree.....who eats spruce grouse????? Unbelievable
