Really cool to see you do an edit on this! I can definitely get away with the Air but was on the fence since the 14 Pro isn’t much more (once you upgrade storage and ram on the Air). I’d rather have a lighter laptop

The USB-C plug on the charging cable being white is perfectly fine imho. It fits the white power brick and you barely ever see it anyway (plugged in below your desk for example). Other than that, love this color and have always loved the MBA!

A power brick is designed to be so no one will notice it, And if no one notices it that opens up the prospect of we can make it "any color we like" well.. i suppose that is good, but if Apple prides itself (which it does), i would have liked to see matching power brick as well... They can do the cable, but not something "you shouldn't be seeing anyway" Kinda..... avoids the issue.. but this is Apple we're talking about.

I think the reason for the mismatch colors of the USBc port on the MagSafe cable is to provide a visual cue not to plug it into the MacBook's USBc port. People will do that.

Reports are that you can charge the laptop via the USB-C ports in addition to the MagSafe port.

The thing I love about the midnight color ( at least on my Apple Watch Series 7) is in most conditions it looks black, but as soon as you take it in the pool or certain lighting it looks dark blue (From my use it’s most noticeable when under water)

I tried one in store and it seems fine. Yeah, there are fingerprints, but even the silver color gets smudgy if you look for it. On the midnight they are more visible, but really not bad compared to what I expected after some early comments.
Based on feedback online it seem that scuffs are also more visible.

I love how the first day Justine fills up a 1TB drive and my M1 MBA with 256GB is only half full after a year and a half! Granted, I've made very few videos. I'm a teacher so use a lot of Google Drive space for work and iCloud for personal. Still, I'm thinking don't worry too much if you are buying 256 or 512 and you're not a video editor or a photographer. I love your videos, Justine!

Yes. Video will eat up a hard drive very quickly. I a go pro and another small camera and just going on a vacation can take up hundreds of gigs of storage on my iPad. And as far as icloud, I have upgraded to spending more each month.

Re: drive filling up - I have taken to turning off background rendering on my M1 MacBook Pro 16", cos that generates a lot of space hungry files. On that laptop for the first time, I can edit seamlessly with a totally unrendred timeline. I only render out the final output when I'm done. Saved a ton of space.

I just got the midnight MBA M2, love love love it, battery life is about to go into its 3rd day with 42% left on it, the colour is beautiful, speakers sound great, screen is amazing (I had the 15 inch MBP from 2014 before and it beats that) and its just a great little laptop, gets everything done that I need it to get done

The screen is not 12.6 but 13.6 inches. You mentioned it wrong at 2:40 minutes. Otherwise, a very great and invormative video. I love the new colors.

I am currently using a base model Macbook 12. YES, it still works and it is on VENTIRA! I am upgrading to a M2 Air (Space Gray). From what I know, this is going to be a major upgrade.
