It's actually so triggering not only how bad his game knowledge is, but how bad his logical thinking is. He makes the same mistakes like shooting arrows while riding a minecart, he makes a big base with absolutely nothing in it effectively just wasting his resources and he does so many other stupid things like that

Coal is infinitely more useful in a frozen wasteland than diamonds unfortunately. It warms you and lights your way as well as cooks your meats. Run out of that and you'd have to use wood, a resource that would be better off relegated to building shelter.

This is probably the most I have ever seen Forge Labs unprepared and disorganized. Usually, he has a plan and gets it down, with a few minor setbacks. But this challenge really put him to the test.
The zombie ones usually do, they’re so chaotic that it’s impossible to prepare
Tbh, he's just bad at the game. He doesn't understand the fundamentals and therefore he can't really apply any sort of a plan. It doesn't help that he rarely learns from his mistakes either. As much as I love his cinematic style of videos, I've got to give criticism where it's due.

@@monkee2193 point is, no matter how much dmg and how fast the zombies get, if you know how to lose or pull agro from minecraft mobs no wave will be a real problem. However even if it would be a lot safer, Im not watching 2hrs to see some dude dig down to bedrock 10 times and wait out the night. It may be bad gameplay, however that makes it entertaining. No series is fun where no character does errors, errors start to make a story interesting.

The sheer quality of these videos are above everything else on KZhead. These are special and make me do something I do with no other content. Dedicate time in a day to watch it. These are like films and live up to it every time, have watched these more than twice and enjoyed it just as much every time. Love the style of video and keep it up!

I've got 3 ideas what he should probably play in these 100 day challenges. 1. Desert wasteland: The complete opposite of a frozen map, where he has to find a way to stop himself from burning up in the sun, all while the terrain is composed of desert, canyons, maybe a few oases or skeletons. Mobs he could find would be husks, snakes, camels, scorpions, hares, and lizards. As the days go by, the temperature raises, and it will become increasingly difficult. 2. Deep ocean: There is no land above water and the water surface is much higher than normal, as in you can't make tall structures outside of the water. Your spawn points and your only hope for oxygen and surface items are boats, submarines, underground bases, and caves. The deeper you go, the darker it gets and the more you become dependent on light sources. You can craft scuba gear, oxygen tanks, flashlights, flippers, and diving suits. Mobs to encounter would be sharks, fish, dolphins, squids, angler fish, crabs, krakens, and even megalodons. 3. Mythological monsters: A majority of mobs will either attempt to kill you or assist you (mostly kill). In addition to the well-known monsters such as cyclopes, sphinxes, vampires, werewolves, centaurs, satyrs, faeries, and dragons, there are also lesser known monsters such as girtablilu (scorpion centaurs), Nuckalevee, amphisbaena, and wendigoes. please like so forge labs can see this and reply which one's your favorite.

usually 100 day videos are vibrant and use happy/energetic/chill music, and it gets old pretty fast. ForgeLabs on the other hand makes these videos seem a lot more realistic and immersive by making the music and general vibes more monotone and down to earth. It is cool how he creates this immersive atmosphere that actually makes it scary and makes you anxious about the days to come.
i agree and i love the editing style he uses to really keep you entertained and not waiting for the interesting parts!

Not really, his videos are short and less inclusive. The realistic part is entirely false but I don't have time to explain right now. I stopped watching forgelabs cause his videos are repetitive and same genre. Watch CaptainTV or Shadowmech, Marcusk too for better quality and length.

EPIC FAIL: His Base he spend in-game WEEKS to build was so badly-build that It defended him only for Minutes. Wow. Why? Why did he build it so terrible? Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but how he builds to be high and not thick is such a Logic Error, it reminded me hard of how ingrained it is in all our mind that Skyscrapers and such is 'good'. Fun Fact: No, it's really not. Experts disagree hard and say Humanity should get away form building high, except for Exceptions.

about the crops: I believe you got the random tick speed set to 0 (which would explain why the fire you put on the bottom of the hole didn't went out, normally fire only stays on when its on top of netherrack), in order to fix it you gotta run the command "/gamerule randomtickspeed 3" which will set it to its default state, if you increase or decrease the number the random tick speed will be increased or decreased which has an effect on pretty much anything that has random timings. Also note that if you increase it to much the game will lag massively.

@@Firefox-eg3no Map makers sometimes set the random tick to 0 so that things don't change state while building, and then turn it back to 3 so those things only start changing states while the map is being played.

Time to talk about spawning mechanics! Yes, light level is good, but mobs can’t spawn on anything but a full block. That means that stairs, slabs, glass, etc are great lightless ways of spawn-proofing areas. However, it’d have to be every single block. Also, you might want to try using pathfinding mechanics to your advantage. Mobs consider buttons and trapdoors as something they can walk on, even if the trapdoor is open, allowing them to fall. Minecraft can be weird sometimes.
They can't walk on railways either for some reason. Check out Sandiction's video-- he trapped a zombie around a railway track and it couldn't leave.

Wow, it’s amazing how you got out alive on day 99! You activated the TnT, killing half the zombies, AND you still got out alive. Then, you got in the mine cart but the zombies were out-speeding it! Honestly, I thought you were dead when that happened, but you were able to keep them away with your sword. After that, you were able to hide out in the woods in a tree until day 100!
This has got to be the most stressed and frustrated I've seen him due to the outstanding amount of things that went wrong, his horse, his crops, his base, food, his resources, and even the villager. But some how died less than some of harder videos?

I think he wasn't fulfilling certain conditions for the mod to grow the crops, as for the floating leafs/fire not going out is probably bc the leafs might've been placed manually and doFireTick might've been turned to false

One possibility is that your ‘Random Tick Speed’ might be set to ‘0’ or ‘none’ this stops trees from growing AND Crops. you should try to see
I noticed your mentions of crops not growing, and fire not going out. From the looks of it, your game's tick speed was set to zero, which stops time for things that despawn, or change (Such as fires, and crops growing)
Maybe why it was set to 0 to make it eternally winter

Hard to find fresh water, enemy pirates and sea monsters, not able to eat the same food over and over (there are mods that make it so that eating the same food often makes that food provide less nutrients) so he can’t depend on one food, that sorta thing

I believe That the pit you created in between the walls was a great idea and the only suggestion I could’ve gave for that was laying down the spikes so when they fall into the pit, they’ll be directly above the spikes getting punctured
It's pretty obvious whatever caused the lag is at fault for how it ended. Your plans seemed pretty solid so I'd say you did indeed survive for "100" days, but just to be sure, try again! (I say that because your challenge videos are like the best I've been able to find!)

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but how he builds the Well round Minute 15 to be high and not thick is such a Logic-Error, it reminded me hard of how ingrained it is in all our mind that Skyscrapers and in general building high is 'good'. Fun-Fact: No, it's really not. Experts disagree hard and say Humanity should get away form building high, except for Exceptions. Some weird form of Pride comes from building something High, but i hope this comment legit spreads Awareness that this is actually not good for Planet Earth.
