I’m glad Jason Segal is coming back! I love his work so much and this looks pretty great too!
First time, he's acting like a professional actor so much better than his usually repeated acting skills.
Big year for Harrison Ford. He's killing it on 2 TV shows, and he's got Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny coming in the summer. Not bad for an 80 year old.
And he's playing Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU
@@BrotherApexx Yep. He's got two MCU movies in 2024. The old man is killing it!
yeah, hopefully he can make a name for himself soon
As long as they can keep him from flying an airplane, he will have it made.
Harrison this now. Man just got done with 1923 and is just goin
This actually looks surprisingly charming. Glad I stuck through watching the whole trailer
Agreed. I was ready to say “nah” immediately but I’ll be watching.
me too
Same! At first I was like “nope. Not happening” but now I kinda want to see it
Ditto
My thoughts exactly
''I can't remember my mums laugh, I feel her slipping away'' that hit hard.
Same, and it also happens to be my mums birthday today. Coming up on 13 years since she passed, and that hurts, because I was able to make her laugh really hard till she nearly wet herself.
🤗🤗🤗🤗 same here... Mine passed 4 1/2 years ago :(
Dad passed over 6 years ago and I still feel bad that I cannot remember the sound of his voice. Surprisingly that is one of the first things that you forget when someone passes.
@@CalTek Yeah, it is pretty normal.Coming up on 23 years for my dad (most of my adult life) and he is just a fuzzy memory now. I have to think hard to picture details, or have my memory jogged by my sister.
@@Hellknight27 I'm right there with you. Almost 20 years since I lost my dad. Luckily I can remember his voice like he was here yesterday. But there are other memories that slip as time goes by.
jason is one of the best actors when it calls for a character to show pathos been doing this since freaks and geeks
I had to Google the definition of pathos. Now that I know what it means, you're absolutely right!
Steve carrel woulda been ideal for this type of movie Dan in real life was amazing
Wow Pathos
Jason Segal looks in top form here. Definitely looks worth checking out.
So glad to see more of him! And looking well! 👍
I agree! This looks like something I would really love but I don't have appletv! Damn.
He must work out
I'm glad to see Jason Segel again. I haven't seen him for a while since How I met your mother series finale
Take a look at The Discovery, it's a neat little film and Segel is amazing in a dramatic role.
Dude he’s been doing good stuff watch The Friend and The Discovery
@@grayonthewaterand Dispatches from Elsewhere
If you've not watched this show yet, DO!! It's not a comedy but it's funny, well written and the characters grow on you really quick. Especially if you've loss a loved one you can relate much quicker
If you have not watch it yet. GO NOW. This show is incredible, the characters, the story, the humor even tho it's a drama. Everything is perfect. I both felt happy and sad watching each episodes. Truly a masterpiece in my opinion.
Watching this series has been so heartwarming. This and Ted Lasso are what’s getting me through this year for sure.
Love Segel's quirky roles. Dispatches from Elsewhere was fantastic and this looks very promising.
Love how J Segal has broken out of being goofy with the Seth Rogan bros and the Met Your Mother sitcom and really come into his own. He is becoming quite a stunning actor. The film he did with Dakota Johnson and Casey Affleck, "Our Friend" was so unbelievably good. This is the right vein for him.
That one was a heart wrencher.
They movie WRECKED me. Jason was incredible
Never heard of Our Friend, just watched the trailer- I could barely get through it… 🥺
Great show. Derek is my spirit animal.
Ok Apple, this is the show that will make me get a subscription. I love Jason Segal, there is such honesty in heart in his acting, he seems like the perfect choice for this series.
Haha, this looks fun I love it when Jason acts
As opposed to horsing around and getting paid for it? 😏
@@fightingirish5755 no opposed to when he does shitting movies that require no acting just him being himself
Since when does he do shitty movies?
Great to see Jason back!
I feel like I just watched the entire series already. Thanks. That saved me a lot a time.
Actually looks really wholesome and funny. Excited!
Wholesome?? Haha
On Brett Goldstein and Segel/Ford alone I was going to give this a shot, but this trailer has actually made me excited for this. Looks really charming and fun.
This looks Amazing! I really want Apple TV lol.
I love these mini movies where i never actually have to buy a ticket.
If you reduce watching a movie to "plot points", I feel like you don't understand what cinema is.
@@Kinsey6King I'm not talking to you bro
@@drnanard9605 This is a TV series, so your try at being funny completely and utterly pathethicaly failed bro.
@@Gregorrin I'm not so sure about that, since being a TV show literally strengthen my argument, which is that you can't reduce a work of art to plot points. Like, did you expect things said about cinema to magically not apply to mini-series?
That fence climbing reaction looks like Marshall vs The Machine.
I missed Jason, good to see him in another potentially great role.
I was told, several times, that big fudge was my celebrity spirit(also Andy Dwyer) I’ve also had the same “resting face” convo since my wife has been gone. I can’t focus enough to write anything thoughtful but I don’t want to stop typing. This hit way to hard and I don’t think I’ll watch it because I’m not going to change anything
This looks hopeful, which is what I need in life right now. I might actually renew my subscription just for this. (And Ted Lasso)
Saw Jason Hiking on Mount Baldy a year ago, he had a mask on and saw that I still recognized him. I TOTALLY forgot his name at the time so all I said "hey man , I know who you are" lol.. come to find out he lives not to far away in Pasadena (where most of this show is filmed) btw this show is just chicken soup for the 40+ soul. Binged 4 episodes and wait each week impatiently. Just great adult content and humor Jefferson Darcy with a job is just hilarious.. excellent cast with great chemistry, between Severance and this APPLE 🍎 TV is crushing it. Keep em coming!!!
Fun fact: the little red triangle at the beginning of the intro is called „Segel“ in German (or Wimpel or Fähnchen) 😊
Two of my favorite actors in the same movie? Just might be what gets my into a theater again.
I believe its a TV show :)
Sorry - it's a streaming series on AppleTV+
Well that makes it easier to see. Lol!
It’s an apple series lol
@@leslynch5632 oh I'm sorry I didn't get that the first time I was told. Lol!
i loved this show!!!
The writing in this show is refreshing loved every second of the 10 episodes
I already love this serie ❤️
The king is back!!! I absolutely love that feral scream he did once he got over the fence😅❤
Jason Segel is the perfect choice for this role. He is such a good actor.
This made me feel bad for my therapist, but also I wish therapists would be blunt like this in real life!
Unfortunately we can't give advice or tell you what we're really thinking because then it ruins the purpose of therapy which is to get the client to come to their own conclusions and eventually help themselves without the support of a therapist. In my earlier years working with adults, I've legit had to bite my tongue hearing the same thing each week from certain clients where it'd be so easy to say "he's using you. Get out of there!" Or "you're continuing to contribute to your own nightmare" but instead I have to keep circling back with observations until they figure it out for themselves. I just hope this show isn't like "advice giving" because real and good therapists don't give advice. It's basically unethical because then the client depends on you and if things go wrong because of the therapist's advice, suddenly the client can blame it on the therapist and sue. Keeping ourselves neutral helps the client figure out their role in their life's challenges without interference from the therapist's own thoughts and feelings.
I waited for that shrinking ray 3 minutes.
Been enjoying this so far. Refreshing and witty
Jason Segel does do great work when his character is in crisis
SHRINKING IS EXCELLENT. ITS LIKE 'TED LASSO' MEETS 'AFTERLIFE.'
Please bring us more of you n your work Jason
Great show! 3 episode down and all 3 I enjoyed. Harrison really killing his role in this.
So glad I heard about this on Bill's podcast!
Just finished season 1, in 2 nights, and so glad it’s coming back for season2. It is as good as Ted Lasso, and definitely laugh out loud in parts, so so we’ll done!
so excited for this, apple tv is bringing back feel good, simple shows back and that's what was needed among all the sci fi/ murder mystery, high fantasy, super hero craze
I love this already
Absolutely loved loved loved this show
That scream love it!
Looks warm and green, I wont binge watch it but I will get to it
Great to see Jason Segal back after HIMYM.
very promising... The cast and presentation seemed to have hit gold here. Segel is one of those actors that are just not very into show business, just the art of telling us good simple stories.
This looks good! Can’t wait to see it.
I read an article a couple of days ago (before seeing this trailer) how Harrison Fords career must be winding down if he's agreed to do a comedy. After reading the review I wondered how bad could it be? Is this really the end of Mr. Fords career? It appears to me the journalist (I use this title lightly) either hates comedies, Jason Segel, or only sees Han Solo & Indiana Jones when he looks at Harrison, and nothing else matters. The trailer made me laugh, a nice diverse cast, and writing in today's dialogue...it was great seeing the pairing of Harrison Ford & Jason Segel, movie seems like it should do fairly well in the theaters.
As if comedy was somehow inferior to Drama. I swear most journalists nowadays aren't worth their salt. They only write idiotic opinion pieces.
@@afonsolucas2219 THANK YOU!!!!
@@afonsolucas2219 Or publish PR pieces or ads under their name
@@afonsolucas2219 ask any dramatic actor. They'll tell you comedy is harder. Anyone who thinks comedy is somehow lesser than drama is a complete goof. Like you said, these days most writers could care less about nuance, fact, or research, they just spend 9 seconds on Twitter, form an opinion, and then write their "expert take". It's pathetic.
That's why you never take a single article/review/news outlet as gospel.
This seems well-written and acted. Looking forward to it.
2023 is gonna be a GREAT year for TV and movies, wow
Great cast. Charming premise. Looks super.
This looks really good 😎👏🏽
I hope that we get a Season 2 for this show. I really enjoyed it!!!
Well after watching Our Friend, I have no choice but to watch this too. Jason Segel is making moves.
I wonder how many movies have used the close up goofy guy on bike shot and then cut to the wide shot of him crashing in to a car. I think Jason Siegel has been in at least 2 movies that have used it.
I don´t know but Jason Segel looks here like mix of Harrison Ford and Gerard Depardieu. :O
Literally got Apple+ for this - só good. When the new season dropping?
I love Jason Segel and was just wishing last year after his Netflix movie with Lily Collins that he would be in more things, well this more things looks pretty good, and Harrison Ford? LETS GOOOOO
It looks promising. I can "t hardly wait.
Watch this. It was great! I've been a big Jessica Williams fan since the Daily Show and she's fantastic in this. But really everyone is.
Looks great!!!
I'm amazed how they get big name stars for these 3 minute movies. It was sweet at the end where he'd found peace and outwitted the water sprinkler and I loved the little speech Ford gave to the young woman about overcoming grief. This movie really touched me emotionally and I look forward to hitting "play" again. I don't know how they make money giving away free content like this!
It’s a tv series not movie, so your lost buddy
@@jameslee8695 Wait. What I just watched is a 3-minute movie that had a beginning, middle, and happy ending. It set up the problems, what was at stake and SHOWED how it all gets solved in the end. It was funny and heart-warming. It ended. How will they ever make a TV series out of this? I just watched and got the whole plot and the ending in one sitting.
@@MarklovesAngels Trust me, you didn't saw anything cause there isnt anything to spoil. This show isnt about "oh what is happening next!?", its about grief and character going through it each in their own way. You got 3 minutes of foretaste but you cant really taste it if you dont watch it.
@@rynkr1555☝️ true
Comedic actors playing a tragic character is so on point👍
I'm sold
You had me at Scrubs
welp. i guess i am signing up for Apple tv just for this.
You had me a scrubs
“Why did you think that you keep calling her Chewbacca?” “I thought it was because that I looked like a young Harrison Ford.” And now, we have a movie that stars Jason Seigal and Harrison Ford together. This is a thing.
I might get Apple + for this.
Hell yeah. Looks excellent
Jason Segal in anything is fantastic.
I love love love him so much.
Really interested in this, actually. Glad to see Bill Lawrence having a moment, huge Scrubs fan.
It looks like a glorified Life Time movie.
JESSICA WILLIAMS IS BACK! YAY!!!
Can't wait!
I'm all in for this, looks great. HF's dry humour kills me, now i get it. JS is the guy i'd want to be held hostage with, if i had to. And if Hana Hayes was busy that year.
Can't wait to check out this movie when it hits the movie theater in the summer of 2021! I love stuff from Albert Brooks!
Do you have a Time Machine and an alternative reality transponder?
Yes. Both. Why?
Looks awesome.
Best series. It's funny without even trying. Harrison Ford should do more series like these... Loved it.. So watch it ,if you are thinking whether to watch it or not..
Not a Jason Segel fan but this seems like a very good role!
Looking good !
I can't wait to watch this on "apple tv+" 😉
LOL. I got it. 😁
This reminds me of the new 8 episode mini series "The Shrink Next Door" starring Will Ferrel and Paul Rudd. (Really good) - based on a true story.
Look at Harrison man soi inspirational
The show is excellent and smart and absolutely hilarious but also touching
Damn it. I want to see this, but I don't have Apple TV!! I guess I'll have to wait, and hope it comes out on DVD. 😖
This looks really good
Funny writing. Let us remember HF is a superb comic actor
I feel like this is something I need to see.
Late to this show but excellent performances and a great mix of Comedy/Drama. Recommend Ted Lasso as well.
Great show
Alright I'm hooked
Hey this looks great.
Want to watch this.
That will be a success as soon as it gets out of apple TV
I LOVE JASON SEGEL MY GOD
He looks like Ryan Gosling in the thumbnail! What a spin out!
