  • Many people are theorising about the creature and letters, but you may want to pay attention to some of the wall design for the orphanage as well. The design has flowerlike patterns on it and it’s not anywhere similar to that of the first two chapters. This is definitely foreshadowing something in my opinion. I think the pattern has to do with the poppy, so this orphanage is actually more of a laboratory than anything. Similar concept to Japanese or Nazi scientist experimenting on people during WWII. This may be the chapter where we see the history of these experiments on the orphans. Edit: was the doll going to experiment on the player since they’re “too perfect to lose”?

  • Is it just me or is this teaser more unsettling and scary than the game. i did love chapter 3 and CatNap but I entered it expecting to be REALLY disturbed lol, ig its important to remember that a ton of children play this game. It wouldn't be cool to traumatize them THAT hard.

    • Yeah the chase scene from chapter 1 is still unmatched combined with both the chapters. I found both the chapters quite boring. And I definitely do not think their target audience is children because the level of puzzles in the game cannot be solved by a child themselves.

  • Here’s my theory. Elliot Ludwig was genuinely a good guy and wanted to help orphaned kids, hence him setting up Playcare initially. Him losing his (presumed) daughter would have led to him really wanting a better life for kids. And if we assume that he is the Prototype, then that makes sense given the trailer shows messages like “The original saved me” etc. I think that Elliot, now in his Protitype form, saved the kids from the real bad guys- Leith Pierre and Stella Greyber. These two were evidently obsessed with turning kids into toys, for monetary or personal reasons, and so had Elliot “converted” into the Prototype and took over Playcare for their own twisted purposes. HOWEVER… that backfired as one day, Elliot (who had notified the Playcare kids beforehand) escaped his containment facility and rampaged through the building killing everyone connected to Leith and Stella (the “hour of joy”). Then, he retreated to Playcare to keep the kids safe as there were still hostile toys (Huggy under Leith’s control, M.L.L under Stella’s) and, after ordering Poppy to bring the player to him, waits in Playcare for us now- possibly to help us Whew, long theory, but I just think this makes at least some sense. Edit: Well, now I look rather sillly. Evidently the Prototype is a bad guy. Still, still stand by the rest of it.

    • The fact that prototype expels the poppy gas makes me think that it had more of a sinister relationship towards the kids maybe meaning it was a scientist. ( same voice actor in project)

  • Already have a theory: On one of the children’s drawings it says that the child’s parents left them. And In of the the scenes we see bed-frames. I think that the daycare was actually where the parents would drop of their kids and leave them. Then while they where enjoying their time at the daycare a living toy (the new monster) would lead the kids away. Judging by the ending to this trailer the monster probably used a gas made out of Poppy flowers to induce them into a sleep. When the children woke up they would be ready for testing. But, like the others, something went wrong. The monster probably went rogue and killed everyone, except for the children. Towards the end of the video, written on the wall says “my somniferous flock” somniferous basically means sleep. After their massacre they gathered the children and put them into a deep sleep. After the incident, the children began to worship the monster (out of fear most likely), hence why the words on the wall are so thankful for this monster. Also how I came up with the poppy gas is because POPPY Playtime, The Toy POPPY from the add apparently smells like POPPIES, and because Poppy’s are known for being used to help children sleep, and also it has a red dye like the gas. It would also explain the gas mask from the start of the video and from another teaser trailer. I feel like MatPat.

  • The game is slowly turning more graphic and morbid. And it's getting a bit more creepy and scary. The plot seems a lot darker now and the actual horror is starting to show and honestly I'm all for it!   • This game's evolving into an actual embodiment of horror movie itself! Props to the entire team working on this game, the animation and quality have improved and the lore's spot on! I may not be playing this game at all, but I'll be gladly watching gameplays of it, seems way more intense than the past chapters! 👀 Judging by the notes and scribbles shown, I think this particular chapter will reveal what's behind the experimentation or most importantly, the real treatment to those orphans. Not only does it make it that much more unsettling, it's a perfect reflection of the screams we here in the audio tapes of Chapter 1.   • When you slow down and pause the video, you can catch a glimpse of the entity's distinctive bear-like lower jaw, nose, and furry exterior. It resembles a lovable "care bear" you might find in a playcare to be their friend and make them feel better, perfect for kids. Additionally, the bear seems to emit the same red gas seen in the initial trailer, possibly suggesting that it uses this gas to lull the children to sleep, making them unconscious at night. That's why the gas mask could be crucial for survival when facing this creature. I'm absolutely thrilled for this chapter to be released!

  • Heres my theory about the monster: So judging by the drawings, the claws, the face shape, and the loud roar at the end of the teaser; it looks like the main monster this chapter is a purple cat. Obviously this chapter is called “Deep Sleep” but if you look at some of the writing it says “Time to sleep” with the cat being in the same picture. And when the cat was seen, a gas (presumably Poppy gas) was sprayed out of the mouth. In the first teaser we see a gas mask, which the player will probably use as a counter to the gas. Another thing I noticed was the words “Playcare” and the many drawings and pictures of kids. This obviously goes back to the adoption thing the Playtime Co. was doing. So this could mean that the cat released toxins which then put the kids to sleep so that their mind would then be transported to a toy and be turned into an organic being. Another cool detail is that cats are always known to be “lazy” and sleep a lot. And now the new antagonist of the chapter is a cat that puts YOU to sleep. Pretty sick.

    • Chapter 3 was brilliant, but i feel like i didn't come close to how utterly horrifying this trailer was. Playcare is lit so disgustingly perfect, the sound design of the wind blowing makes me feel so trapped and isolated from the rest of the world, right down to the phone static, and i was convinced this was just a taste of how utterly stomach churningly horrifying chapter 3 was going to be, i was expecting chapter 3 to be so much worse (better) than it was. love ya chapter three but it pales in comparison to this.
