Felt kind of a nostalgic I don't know, and since this is 13 years old and sooooo low range on the engine,I would say that it's pretty much a rare piece. I saw worse cars from Bmw like a X3 that is sold for like 3000-4000$ with 200k+ KM on them.. or E36's that we're really expensive for their value.. In my country you would very rarely find cars with less than 150k KM.Pretty impressive that it didn't have all the lights in the dash, especially the check engine light. Keep. It. Up. Awesome content.

Of course, you guys there have only 3 liters engine and higher lol. But in Europe due to pollution regulations and taxes, and also the configuration of cities (you don't spend 2 hours with the metro to get from one corner to another of a big city) , the configuration of engines is smaller, nowadays they produce mostly 1 liter turbo engines for small cars, or even less, with 3 pistons. It's very hard now to buy a 2.0 gasoline or 2.0 diesel engine in any 2020/2021 car, most of them are 1.4 gasoline and 1.5 diesel (talking about regular models and brands, not luxury or supercars)

Why wouldn't they work!?
@@redmiaccountnikos1140 because its a BMW?
Great video! Thanks for getting this Compact back to life. M43 engines might be small but literally bulletproof and easy to maintain, just perfect for a daily driver.
Omg. That engine fell like working perfectly ... dont scrap it .big like from Romania
The e36 is from Germany, you can See it in the checkbook

@@fathibobo8656 Peugeots and Citroens generally are pretty good cars, but I wouldn't ever go near a Renault
Keep. It. Up. Awesome content.
that's the power of the M43 engine! Most reliable 4 cylinder engine BMW has ever made. Driving one myself in an E46. Easy to work on. It's just a shame that everything around it rusts so damn much.
What about the great old M10 engine? I think is more reliable than M40s familly :))
@@deadliestundersteer9967 well I might be a bit biased. Probably a lot. ;)
M42 is better. Much more power, still simple and reliable
the m47 is definitely a more reliable bmw 4-cyl

Smooth running after 13 YEARS, Insane 🤩🤩🤩😎😎😎👍👍👍
With so much love this guy doing this...amazing
Keep it! They are becoming rarer
I always find your videos very relaxing
Great video. Looking forward to see more BMWs. I never liked the E36 Compact, but somehow the model ages well in my opinion.
Great video flexiny, great work, looks freezing cold, great to see her running well 👍👌😀
Супер! Это-BMW!
cool car, in 2005 i was an owner of e36 sedan from '95, good times :D
WOW! starting with the old spark plugs. incredible!
This E36 is in better condition than 80% of E36 in poland
Meanwhile my BMW N54 engine: "Well lets just throw a random engine code and maybe some boost leak too"
BMW 3 Series my LOVE!
Give it a service and full brake overall and I'd feel confident driving that from Germany to the UK. German engineering is just amazing. Sounds so smooth.
This piece of hit will die in 50 km
You should listen to Scotty Kilmer educate you on German engineering a bit 😂 There is a reason the field seems to be full of those German and other European cars, while the Japanese cars of same age are still on the road 🤣
@@cyberfunk3793 righto
i really like e36's, very tough cars. But i wonder why someone would leave this car to sit for 13 years. It was'int that old back then.
Hood flew into windshield.
Because it is the compact.
@@Flexiny They parked the low km car because the hood it bent? Why not just get a new hood? The windshield looks okay still
13 years ago these cars were costing about £400 - 500 where I live so lots of them were ditched or scrapped when they went wrong probably why the value of these has gone up
@@steel1527 the value of the regular e36s and e36 m3 have gone up, NOT the compact 316i. The compact is a hideous ugly cheap car.
My wife had one of these back in the 90s, great wee motor, only repair was a thermostat after that it was just general maintenance, had it a few years, it bit the dust with the floor pan rusting out.
316i i can honestly say, being from Canada i had no idea this model existed
Thank you KZhead algorithm! What a find. I've got one of these myself and can't believe how clean the arches are in this car. Thank you so much for rescuing it! Oh and I think it's Boston Green?
Absolutely fascinating watching your films! 👍🏻
I definitely don't understand people who give a dislike. Thanks for your hard work and for sharing !
They probably drive french cars and hate their life..
Cannot believe that runs, amazing.
E36! I already love it!
That engine sounds like brand new its quiet and not pumping loads of crap out! German cars are the best!!!
You get any car to start, is fascinating! You really love Cars! Amazing
We have that M-Version of it. Its such a good car, never had any engine or gearbox problems and the it can still keep up with modern cars.
This one looks exceptionally good!
Sounds very smooth indeed !
I see you couldn’t of chosen a warmer day to do this job.....very brave.
Very good Idea to do this in the Winter. Congratulations
Love e36 and love the compact one, such a great little car, I hope you save this one, they are getting rarer and rarer.
Theyre very comnon where i live

I had a saloon 318is. Same paint colour with beige leather interior. Lovely car
Hi Flexiny, I really like your videos as there is some very cool cars on your channel And I love the weather 👍
Really enjoyed this and all your videos. Thanks for NO horrible music or waffling!!!! Would be great to know what happens to the cars
This car has been running for 25 years in a humid climate, half of which has been left unattended, but surprisingly free from corrosion. There is a slight rust on the surface, but there are no rotten holes anywhere, and rusty iron shavings do not fall off like a biscuit. How do the Germans make alternative cars?? It's crazy technology!

i love the videos you make i LOVE the euro cars ESP the VW you find im waiting on a sitting SAAB my two favorite car brands
The car runs really well - I was hoping you'd take it onto a paved road. Nice bmw!
I love the sound of the starter❤️❤️
That bmw is totally rust free and smooth running engine as well even after sitting outside for 13 years
I’ve seen that you re-start many cars but then...what do you do with them? Do you just collect them, do you sell them or whatever?
14:10 Great condition after 13 years. BMW 4 ever. Only ABS is on....
This is why i like old cars from the 90s and early 00s not a huge amount of ECU electronics just basic mechanics , if you left a modern BMW for 13 years you would definitely need to replace the ECUs and all the other fancy wiring
wow. those rocker panels are worth their weight in gold, even has all the jacking pads too! i have 2 e36s both of them are extremly bad when it comes to the floor and rockers
Absolutely amazing greeting from 🇬🇧
Still a nice car, and in pretty good shape considering it's age!
With some love this e36 can still hit the road, nice!
