I like going for 1 Kg fat loss per week. I'm going to go for that and I have 8 kg of fat to lose from 20 percent to 10 percent body fat. I am going to be able to shred in 8 weeks.

I weight 105kg and about 35% body fat. What is the ideal body fat percentage before starting weight lifting. I only do Cardio now and am losing weight fast. Should i wait till i am around 20% or start lifting now. Thanks.

I am 100kg and around 25% I think and I am lifting 7 months now and I think I am going to cut in a year or sum , so I recommand to start lifting early and not lose 2 much weight 2 quick

You should start lifting now. You wont build muscle as optimally as someone in a calorie surplus, but if you keep your protein intake high and train hard, you'll gain strength and some muscle mass as a beginner. Lift now, eat around 500-700 calories below what you need to mantain your weight, and eat 0.8 grams of protein per pound of your body weight. You'll surprise yourself with the results.

Personally, i find slow and steady diets dont work for me. I once dieted for 8 months straight, losing about 0.5-1lb per week after the intial 2 week water drop at the start. Ill always be stocky because i love food, dont drink or smoke so thats my crutch. A drastic cut of the lowest amount of calories i can sleep on ill do it. I once did 500 calories for 5 weeks sometimes uping it to 1200 just so i could sleep. The weight creeps back on over a year or two. Always getting heavier than where i was at the start. Slow and steady or fast doesn't make a difference, but suffering for 8 months to reach a desired weight suffering for that long mentally burns you out. In and out like a one night stand when it comes to diets.

Lost 10kg in almost 7 weeks so far. Only started at 85kg. So didn’t have that much to lose in the first place.
