It's refreshing to see greatness and blunders all in the same game and explained so openly
Hehe, the saying "like father like daughter", I mean the spanish Tal with play offering and a nice chessmate. Congratulations on the win :) Two bishop sac: Lasker 1889 Tarrasch 1914 Alekhine 1923 Rubinstein in 1925 Kasparov in 1983 Polgar 2003 Cramling 2022 Not bad to be on that list.
Brilliant.
don't forget Taimanov - Shassin 1978.
Really enjoyable analysis. Some chess streamers are missing this level of passion for the game
@@BobbyFischer0000 Who said they are not. Read the comment again
@@BobbyFischer0000 Oh no I didn't realise I was dealing with sherlock Holms but fair enough what youve said goes without saying and isnt a revelation to anyone mr insightful. Put it this way if your manifestation of passion is a whole lot of complaining, drama and constant divergence away from chess into 'other content' then maybe the chess won't be quite as inspiring. Anyway my comment is praise for Anna where as your comment is more troll like. I won't be replying again cus this is really boring. Cheers mate
Sheeesh lmao mr insightful has been rOaStEd xddddDDd. Fr why do people get tilted by yt comments.
16:13 "She's so much material down" Funny that you said this in a position where you are actually 2 pawns down on the board. Those bishop sacrifices destroyed the king safety and gave you overwhelming piece activity which you and the engine naturally translated into a decisive advantage. Good game!
Yes. This is what she explained in the video.
It's "Lasker's two bishop sac", from his game back in 1889. Similar thing Tarrasch did to Nimzo, back in 1914. but those sac's are always nice to see! 🙂 Congratulations!
Classical
The first recorded time this happened was actually T'zarisef's double bishop sac in 1887 against Leshanko Temporenov.
I still remember a game played in India shortly after chess was invented, where two bishops were sacked. The unnamed player who sacked the bishops lost the game however, which is probably why that game is not remembered and even the players names are lost in time. You have to sack two bishops of the same colour after a minor promotion to prevent stalemate to really become immortal. ;)
Annaas combinaation is actually original. I know both the Lasker- Bauer and Tarasch's game against Nimzowitch.
And I know all of these players’ names because of openings
Congrats Anna! I'm really enjoying this series. It's great to have a personal window on the Olympiad!
Funny to see you here, City Beautiful.
13:46 right here, during the broadcast we saw stockfish go like "Hey now that's the not the best mov--- OH WAIT it is" 🤣
It said 8.9 the whole time. I'm confused.
@@joex222 its from livestream
Chess is fun. With Anna it's even funner. And she's also good at explaining how expert players think so that even noobs like me can understand it to some degree.
More fun*
Why? Coz her moves are funnier?
@@guptayush179 he meant fun as in entertaining, not funny as in comedic context
Who for example is not as good as Anna as explaining to n00bs like us?
@@nicbentulan Anna Rudolf
Love your analysis and insights into your games. One can learn so so much!
This was the most exciting game of chess I’ve ever watched live. What a roller coaster of emotions
Anna: For the next 10 moves [...] I forgot about my knight, I didn't think I had a knight. Also Anna (3 moves later): *Moves the knight* :)
Thát's how far off her brain was
Esto fue como una montaña rusa! Increíble poder de los alfiles para destrozar un enroque sólido. Felicidades Ana! :)
one of the hardest things to do in chess is to win a "won" game :) well done!
This is the pain lol, turning a winning game into a losing one is soooooo easy!
Probably still behind winning a lost game.
@@Kriddle1229 that is quite easy. Wait for your opponent to blunder back rank mate
@@linuslucke3838 At her rank? lmao. Even if, it's still harder to win a lost game.
Love this whole analysis. This is passion-- leveled up!
This was a really funny game . Spectacular knight retreat to h8 , twin bishop sacrifice and in the end giving the opponent an opportunity to escape with an fortress . Glad Anna won .
You make chess fun to watch. That was wonderful. It's like watching a thriller movie when just as you think someone is safe something bad happens and they have to think fast to avoid the new danger.
Thank you for this game, you have a beautiful way to explain the game... your style fits my chess level better than other chess streamers... you take the time to explain the questions I would have. Great job!!! subscribed all now.
Really enjoy the full analysis with thinking on each move.
Amazing job Anna ! Beautiful win, and I love the joy that you radiate in your videos , clearly you love the game ! G.
Absolute masterpiece Anna!! Congrats for this very nice game despite some inaccuracies
Love your energy! Congrats for the great game 😃
Love ur recaps! Congrats :D
Mikhail Tal: Complicate things and they will blunder. Anna: I'm totally gonna do this!
Everyone not living in 2015 - This meme format: Needs to die Let it go.
I was watching your (Swedish team) games today. I was cheering when you initiated your aggressive attack. It was a couple of really nice sacrifices. Felt like you were putting all your eggs in one basket. Though I think you could have won a bit earlier. 🙂
I think Anna will do very much for chess popularity in Sweden. She is a star!!
how the heck would you have won earlier except for the tiny mistakes she said?
"Though I think you could have won a bit earlier" Did you think that before or after she said exactly that verbatim in the video?
Beautiful game! Great finds with the Nh8 and the bishop double sac.
Anna, nice game. What I really enjoy about your analysis is that you mention how your thought processes are during the game and how you may have miscalculated at times.
I love watching your videos, thank you so much for all your content! Are you preparing your openings / games with your mom or only alone?
she actually defended very well. Great game. Well played - that double bishop sac was sick
2:48 objectively I 'd go the same cz qc2 is something you had always prepare cause it might be the best line or the second best line of the computer
That was dope dude I loved it keep up the good work
Nice, I really hoped that you win. It was so deserved. Thanks for explanations, it helps me a lot to understand many moves.
Anna, congrats for winning 👏🏽You are clearly inspired for double bishop sacrifice from the game of Aron Nimzowitsch - Siegbert Tarrasch, two opening inventing grandmasters. Good home preparation.
Lasker-Bauer Amsterdam 1889 I had to immediately open to compare. Perhaps somewhere your tactic puzzle training included a position from that game. The double B sac has become a theme like back rank mate, though much rarer. Good eye memory for pattern. Congrats and go Sweden go.
The first recorded time this happened was actually T'zarisef's double bishop sac in 1887 against Leshanko Temporenov.
GG ! Anna Thanks. I like to play ...d3 against that white set up. Some morra players a little bit underestimate this move or dont study it. ...d3 one of my jedi mind tricks. Good luck for you next round !
Anna's excitement is contagious. Grats on the win.
You are such a positive and gracious person. Thank you for imparting your knowledge and making our days better.
Inadvertent disadvantage of ... Nh8 : Anna forgot that this N existed. 12:55 "Either this is the most beautiful way of winning in the world ... or it's not." Taking lessons from agadmator, I see. But seriously, there is an omission at 8:20. What if Bh5? The best I can see is ... e4 followed by ... g5, which is good for black, but the game goes on.
Arm chair Andy here folks.
It ain’t over til it’s over. I might have played the two bishop sac, but I would never have had the stamina to play out the complications afterwards. Dramatic sacs never get into the history books when you lose 3 moves later, so well done!
Again a fun and great recap, i think you're the most appreciable woman chess KZheadr actually, love the way you describe and react so naturally but with clever thinking its just perfect ... Dont change anything and i hope you'll crush them all ;)
As a kid I used to sack my bishops often to put preasure on the castled king, but that was more a result of me always being in a rush than any actual tactical insight.
Congrats Anna. Great game!! 👏👏
I got the chance to be live for Round 7. I saw both Anna and Pia from far off. Overall it was an amazing experience, for someone who only started playing chess 3 years ago, going to this event made me fall in love with the game even more. Unfortunately, I couldn't follow the games because they weren't shown on a screen and you aren't allowed to take your mobile phones in the hall. This was the only/major downer of the event because you can only spectate games that are close to the gantry.
That was a lot of fun to watch 😂 great game!
Cool game. Good commentary. Good luck with the other rounds.
love your enthusiasm!
You have such a contagious energy. Really makes me smile.
19:10 imagine the opponent offering a draw to Anna and she accepting in this position wow
Felicitaciones por tu gran triunfo, Estas aportando mucho a tu equipo. Suecia sigue mostrando un nivel muy bueno.
Muchas gracias!!
Great well done thanks for the insight!
Fantastic. We love you Anna. Keep it up! ❤️
Good stuff! Double bishop sac!!! Stunning! Thanks! Totally making up for Johan Stigefeldt crashing his motorcycle 11 million times.
11:34 - you can still move bishop to h2 check and win the queen - instead of moving bishop to e6
Anna is in check.
Very fun game, fantastic analysis, I feel like I just played it myself!
Nice moves!! Good luck with the next round. ;)
I've seen the move realtime on your Twitch, amazing game Anna
congrats on the win….with style!
Brilliant game! Well played!!!
Amazing how difficult chess is, being able to defend even this. Imagine how it works at the 2500+ level.
Congratulations Anna, eres muy talentosa, por eso te admiro, God bless you, jajajaja 😂
well done! Congratulations!
Anna: I just wanted to checkmate her Me: Good plan
That's weird, knight blindness usually doesn't become an issue until your 50s.
Love your energy & passion 😋👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💛
Yeah the 2 bishop sac is a famous one! Still takes guts to play it over the board in a serious game.
There I sat in the first part of the video thinking that Nh8 was the move 😂 absolutely brilliant too.
Wowowowowowowow! What a Game !! Great diagnosis and comments! These are quite fun to review.
18:51 Glad I'm not alone. I do that too sometimes.
Nh8.. plus double Bishop sacrifice. What a game. 😊
Those bishop sacrifices wow!
I am starting to see a theme to these recaps. "I am winning then I made a mistake."
Its a very interesting game with 2 great moves. Congrats.
"I think the most logical move here is..." Means an Anna Move is coming.
Amazing that you saw that so quickly!
I'm enjoying your enthusiasm, explanations, and watching the whole tournament unfold.
Very nice game! There was another famous game with a double bishop sacrifice..
This is chess and entertainment at its best. Thank you Anna.
These recaps of your own games are awesome. I'm watching every one.
Can someone explain how white takes the F5 Pawn with a E5 pawn? New to chess. Thankyou
Dang that's a nice move Anna! Even after you pointed it out I didn't see the idea lol
Grats! Great game!
From Singapore! loved the game!
Bravo ! Good game !
So awesome … love the joy of chess
Congratulations on perhaps your best chess move ever! Your exuberance is infectious. :)
Bravo Anna, nice game.
you played in great style, in the spirit Emanuel Lasker, who sacrificed two bishops in a similar manner.
I was excited to watch this video, then heard you did it against my home country 🙃 😂
I also sometimes forget what I have, but I lost some pieces from my chess set years ago, so I'm playing with the top hat and boot from Monopoly. It all get's very confusing. Good news is, if I land on a corner square I collect $200.
At 15:33 if she goes Rook -> E5 instead of B5 doesn't she win after plowing through Bishop -> G5? Cool setup with the double bishop sacrifice, but it looks more like luck than a deliberate strategy.
You are on a roll, Anna. Stay calm. Nothing can stop you.
11:33 cant the bishop take h2 then queen is hanging?
Wow what a scrappy game, love it, also encouraged by the occasional blunder and recovery, so it's not just me that does that!
Hahaha, what a game. As a Singaporean, I congratulate you.
when you sac two bishops and aren't down any pieces
I'm sad to see the morra gert sruched because it's my favorite oppening, but god that was a fantastic game. Be proud anna
I don't understand the play at 3 min. how can the pawn move there if u moved it to f5?
google en passant
As a Smith morra player myself (all be it a rubbish 1) I have to say I hate facing the alapin line although pretty sure the Smith morra champion 🏆 Marc Essaman got a draw against Anand in this line which considering he's rated about 500 elo below Annand is still pretty good going
Min 5:00 I am so worried about castling with so much of the opponents power, (queen and bishops), right above the castle.
Always more fun to win)
