And I was ready to go UNTIL she tried to enter a Big rubber diafrag thing , With all anestecia, I didnt have saliva so I tried but I couldnt breath mouth to dry and she said she cantt do rootcanal without that so I LEFT , HELL NO. THAT WAS TODAY. AM like thinking to take it out that molar too much drama. And I have one very good AND THEY NEVER USED THAT. it was good for almost 20 years and after years even if u have rootcanal the molar or tooth will fade or may get infection which later u will need a dentist surgeon to take it out so AND THE END. ITS BETTER TAKE IT OUT AND MAKE A BRIDGE LATER

    • It’s been destroying my health. Ever since then I’ve been PARANOID about toxins and OCD about everything I eat and in my environment. Hired so many different specialists - Also look into cavitations. Where they remove a tooth without taking the periodontal ligament which fosters bacteria - same threat of root canals -

  • I had a badly infected old root canal in 2014. Made me quite sick. Got antibiotics. Had the tooth pulled. Heart arrhythmias began within months and continued until heart attack in 2018. These days, I do not screw around. Have had 2 more root canal teeth pulled when they felt tender, even though the dentist argued to leave them in. I doubt that I'll have implants put in, since those can get infected too. I suspect, as do some dentists, that dental infection drives heart disease. Will the day come when were amazed that root canal was once common practice? I think probably so.

    • Hello, I am preparing to remove my root canals. I would prefer to just extract them and then let my body heal naturally. Have your teeth shifted in a badway? Your jaw become distorted? Do you use dentures now to keep the rest of the teeth aligned. Thank you and god bless you.

  • I wish someone would seriously lobby for dentistry to be covered by health insurance. I'm sure the dentist don't want that because the reimbursements from insurance would be less but seriously, think about the people who can't afford procedures and how life altering a dental infection can be. It can literally impact eating like how is that not part of one's overall health smh.

  • I wish the dentist I've been going to was as open as you. I am scheduled for a root canal in 1 day. When I asked him the average it could last as I have never known anyone who hasn't lost the tooth anyways after a RC and he said, "I can't tell the future. It could be 2 yrs it could be 20 yrs." I was pretty upset at that response. I wanted to know with MY case and tooth issue's specifically, would this be better then extracting it and putting in an implant or not. I'm still not sold this is the best choice and I've got hours to decide. 😭

  • Its all our fault, couse we eat sugar and go to bed without brushing etc. For a few it's genetic, but very few. I can give you this advice, because I have decent teeth but I damaged some by negligence. - do not eat sugar and go to bed without brushing; - brush vertically - a dentist told me this as a kid, I've never had dental stone because of this; - if your wisdom teeth are: growing sideways, loose, food gets stuck, any discomfort etc. remove immediately, do not postpone; - if you discover a cavity, go see a dentist immediately, do not postpone, get checked every few months for early detection; If you do not do this you will suffer, I know I do after a 4-visit root canal, where a cavity opened suddenly and I waited 6 months after this couse symptoms were little and I knew of old slow growin cavities, but there are diff types. Also a sideways wisdom tooth pushes on a molar and had bone loss below 5 years ago, now the molar is already loose. Simptoms are little to none if you clean well but... do not be like me. Ill now pay for a CT to check the job and go to a surgeon for the molar... I also have connected bad molars with pockets, with other health issues aswell long time ago but didnt act - it becomes worse dont postpone!

    • Yes, you’re right I drink a lot of Mountain Dew but all my problems come from dentist. All the teeth that got pulled is from filled teeth and the tooth start chipping away to where I had to get them pulled. The tooth that they want to do a root canal had a temporary crown, which I never heard of such a thing nor have I ever known that it was a temporary crown but I had it when I was very young. I am now 60 years ago. I went to the dentist and they put on a new crown, now that tooth another dentist tells me I need a root canal again this is due from the dentist. I’m losing my teeth because of them but you are right sugar is very very very bad for the teeth. And then not brushing, you should brush at least two times a day, and I never did.

It will be visible when I smile. But I think I’ll react to titanium. In NZ zirconia implants not possible.

    • No, just fix your diet by going on a keto diet and your tooth will literally heal back. Your tooth is alive, but you have so much sugar in your bloodstream that your body cannot fight bacteria because sugar is paralyzing your immune cells and everything else. 15 thousand years ago before human agriculture human hunter gatherers had perfect teeth and never touched them their whole lives because their teeth are alive and they at what they are meant to eat. Watch Eric Berg on youtube for tips on TRUE HEALTHY EATING and watch Root Cause the movie. Have no fear, God is with you.

And I don’t know about the implant because they can get infected to the best thing is a bridge now there’s two ways of doing it from my understanding. I had a bridge once it makes you talk funny and that’s the one that is on a pink plastic that fits on the roof of your mouth and one biting down it hurts so you have to take them out in order to eat. The other implant if you do your research on KZhead, they grind away the two teeth where the gap is and they fit a crown to fill that gap do you research and you’ll understand what I’m saying I’m supposed to have a root canal in two days and I am not going to do it just because of all the problems that occurs and they do not last a rather haven’t pulled and I have a few teeth that are missing so that’s why the dentist wants to save it so I have something to chew with but if I can get them capped there’s new way of the bridge. I’ll go that route. Good luck because nobody wants to be in pain, and especially if it’s going to cost more to get that pain fixed it’s not worth it…….. update. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say here using the microphone and my iPad likes to put in other words.

In reality i like the fact that he didn't outright say that RCT is bad but rather said we need to look at each patient individually and determine how we want to proceed with our options. This is the correct approach based on multiple studies I've read regarding RCT and the success rate, rates of infection due to different factors, etc.
