    • I don't think it's matpat, but it's collective youtubers who've also made changes, CaptainSparklez is probably the main trigger as many well-known youtubers talked about him, but I could be wrong cause there's other youtubers who I don't know. Unlike MatPat who's going to retire, CaptainSparklez on the other hand has a change of his path, where he will no longer make minecraft videos (most of the time).

  • "We're done asking for permission to be us" This speaks so hard to the approach I've had recently as I head into my 30s. I hope more people can learn to not only be honest with themselves about who they are, but also to have the courage to actually BE who they are without shame or apology. Too often we look for the things that other people are doing wrong, ways to criticize, ways to say "if THIS changed, life would be better," when in reality we should be saying "if *I* change my own worst behaviors and embraced the best part of me, life would feel a whole lot better."

    • That's funny, what you just said is exactly how I feel about your comment. It makes no contribution to society, no benefit to human kind and is useless nonsense by someone who is a dullard. You are the epitome of someone projecting how they feel about themselves onto other people. @karlwithak.

      @neondemon5137@neondemon51373 ай бұрын
    • @karlwithak. I'm having a hard time understanding your comment, but from what it sounds like, you're saying content creators are idle, useless creators, not contributing to society or benefiting human kind. Please correct me (kindly) if I'm wrong, I'm not trying to point fingers, just trying to make sense of the English in your comment. If that is what you're saying, I would have to respectfully disagree, and let me explain why. How is something that millions of people watch all over the globe not contributing to society? Creation is an art form, and art is subjective, so creating nonsense is entirely a matter of perspective. If you think what they create is nonsensical, clearly you're not the target audience, and that's okay. Not everything needs to entertain you or me, which is fine, and that doesn't make what they create any less creative, just a different form of creation. And art, in all it's various forms, continues to benefit society years after the creator has moved on or passed away. Think of the painters, sculptors, architects, inventors, engineers, etc. of the past, as well as the playwrights, film producers, writers, composers, fashion designers, and so on of the present. And for the record, name calling anyone in society is beneficial to no one, nor is it solving the so-called problem of "dullards" not contributing to society or benefiting human kind by creating "useless nonsense." The solution to your apparent issue is simple: Do something yourself that you think would benefit society more, whether that's creating something, educating others, customer service, work in the food industry, or even volunteer work at hospitals, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, vet clinics/pounds, and so forth. Those are just a few of the ways you could help benefit human kind and contribute to society, and in turn solve the previously mentioned problem. Words have power, but only up to a point. Actions always speak louder, and reactions have the potential to not only change or save lives, they can alter the course of society and the world. Just something to keep in mind when degrading the livelihood of others, who are (in my opinion) benefiting lives, or at least one life: Mine.

  • I just wanted to say that I think this is the best idea. I haven’t had cable in over 10 years. It’s super expensive. I’m a very busy person. I have two kids now and we have Hulu, Disney and Netflix. We even got rid of Hulu live because we simply don’t even follow mainstream media and again, we are super busy people and don’t really get to sit down for regular tv shows. But for years now I’ve watched GMM every single day on my phone. And I’ve followed this channel as well. So I for one think it’s great that you’re moving forward on your own because I think many people aren’t watching tv like they used to and find themselves more tuned in to YT and social media reels. And at the end of the day, the mythical community ultimately loves your creative content and we’re so excited to follow this journey.

Link said "Do i make enough to go into a store and buy all the candy? No." I call bs. I remember around 2014 when I 'traded' KZhead channels with a friend back in 4th grade. He showed me The Game Theorists, and I showed him GMM. A lot of my biggest highlights (besides all the gaming videos at the time) was coming home and watching either GMM or MatPat on a late 2000's Acer laptop that was falling apart, in a household where I had nothing else to do but be alone and do homework. I cherish those memories to death.

I hope that you guys continue to do this for a very long so that I can maybe share you with my kids one day and show them the amazing people that I watched every morning as a child.
