  • There is a reason why Squats, Deadlift and Bench Press are called the big three and were trained in several sports.

  • Dead lifts have injured more people than any other exercise I've ever seen. Every person I know that has been a dead lift advocate has ended up side lined because of this. Good luck.

  • I’ve tried other workouts that mimic dead lifts like using a cable for example. Idc what anyone says. Idc idc idc. Deadlifts work best at the end of the day when it comes to building a thick hard lower/mid back

  • deadlifting every now and then is okay but a lot of strength sports guy and powerlifters dont deadlift much at all. I did 545 2 days ago and that’s a 50 pound increase than the last time I did which was 2 years ago. But I would never argue the legendary Jay Cutler about that lol. Still maybe it’s different for certain people seems to be more beneficial for me to not do them at all apparently lol

  • Everything that this man says comes with logic and reason. He never speaks in absolutes. He never seems over opionated. He simple tells what's worked for him, and what he believes. And that is Rare rare rare. Especially with someone who's reached his level. Cutler seems like really humble and sensible guy

  • I start my full body training off with deadlifts. Nothing wildly heavy but 3 sets 10 reps with 2 minutes rest. Your traps will grow like crazy and the details start to come in the entire back. Trigger is to push your heel through the ground and let your arms just be hooks🪝

  • Deadlifts done with reasonable weights are extremely necessary for lower back health as you age. Lower back muscles, at least for me, always lose strength rapidly. When weak I get back issues and when strong I do not.
