When I was pregnant I dead ass looked my ex straight in the eyes and in all seriousness said “omg you know what sounds bomb af?! Carrots and broccoli dipped in hot sauce” …thinking it was totally normal lmao. I was only a couple months into pregnancy so it didn’t occur to me that it was a craving. I think that was the first one I had 🤷🏻♀️ Oh yea and once I legit started sobbing my eyes out because I wanted a waffle so bad but restaurants were all closed because it was midnight so I couldn’t have one. Like it genuinely broke my fragile little heart 🤣

My mom told me that my great grandmother craved pine tree bark and Georgia Red Clay ( yes the stuff that they use to make red bricks ) everytime she got pregnant. My grandmother also told me the story of one night my G-grandfather woke up in the middle of the night to go to the outhouse, but my G-grandma wasn’t in the bed. He found her outside sitting down on the side of the road eating clay.

Craving bricks, clay,,,, kinda sounds like pica. It's a symptom of Iron Deficiency Anemia for one, quite common during pregnancy cuz both mom and fetus need iron and O2 and all. And pregnancy comes with physiological anemia. Of course, tho common, IDA is a medical condition that can be dangerous to both mother and baby and must be treated! I can’t remember what my mom craved when my sister was born (I was in kindergarten and don’t remember much) but she did tell me that when I was on the way, she always craved Boston Market. She was stuck in labor for nine hours though, and I guess you’re not supposed to eat during that time? Anyway my dad showed up a few hours in with a giant paper bag of her favorites, she told him she couldn’t eat, so he pulled up a chair and ate all of it in front of her 💀she was understandably pissed off needless to say.

I’m from Pakistan and it’s actually a really common drink to mix milk with soda usually Coke/pepsi or Sprite, but really any soda works it’s really refreshing for those hot summer days.

I never had an actual craving other than sweets. But I was more sensitive to really strong garlic and onion smells/flavors. So it’s amazing how different bodies crave some fun combinations. While I’m over here wanting to puke if I smell something too pungent.

What interesting tho-wjen i started menopause I started getting weird food cravings again. My dr told me the same kinds of hormonal imbalances that cause pregnancy craving can act up in menopause too. I still eat my sardines on cheese whiz/vegemite toast lol. Just feel bad for my hubby 😁

Omg, this reminded me of my "pregnancy craving," that ended up being a lifelong love! When I was pregnant with baby #2 I worked at KFC, so I ate there often. Every day at lunch I would get chicken and a biscuit (with butter and honey) and 2 sides. Always coleslaw and baked beans, I always took and put beans on my spork, then coleslaw and would eat it together! Not mixed up, just a scoop of each for every bite! I still love this and now am hungry for it again!

I was pregnant with my daughter in 1984. My thing was Taco Bell bean burritos with this great spicy green sauce they had then. You could substitute it for the regular taco sauce on the items. Two of those made me happy for under $3. My second favorite was the Enchirito (sadly gone now). Taco Bell was a cheap craving fix! 😁

When I was pregnant I dead ass looked my ex straight in the eyes and in all seriousness said “omg you know what sounds bomb af?! Carrots and broccoli dipped in hot sauce” …thinking it was totally normal lmao. I was only a couple months into pregnancy so it didn’t occur to me that it was a craving. I think that was the first one I had 🤷🏻♀️ Oh yea and once I legit started sobbing my eyes out because I wanted a waffle so bad but restaurants were all closed because it was midnight so I couldn’t have one. My mom told me that my great grandmother craved pine tree bark and Georgia Red Clay ( yes the stuff that they use to make red bricks ) everytime she got pregnant. My grandmother also told me the story of one night my G-grandfather woke up in the middle of the night to go to the outhouse, but my G-grandma wasn’t in the bed. He found her outside sitting down on the side of the road eating clay.

It's very common for young children and pregnant women to crave dirt and or clay it's because it contains a lot of essential minerals and nutrients.
Craving bricks, clay,,,, kinda sounds like pica. It's a symptom of Iron Deficiency Anemia for one, quite common during pregnancy cuz both mom and fetus need iron and O2 and all. And pregnancy comes with physiological anemia. Of course, tho common, IDA is a medical condition that can be dangerous to both mother and baby and must be treated! Milk + Coke or Chocolate Milk + Pepsi is actually quite delicious. Its like drinking a McFloat, but you skip the part where the icecream mixes fully with the soda. I recommend anyone try this. If you're in the Philippines, try Nestle Chuckie + Pepsi.

when I was pregnant it was strawberry ice cream with cheetos even though I hate strawberry ice cream lol then it was some thing about the Wendy's chicken salad that I had to have on a regular basis and towards the end of my pregnancy McDonalds quarter pounder was my jam and that was my first time actually eating one bcuz I wasn't a big beef eater plus being pregnant I couldn't tolerate the smell or even look at any thing chicken with out vomiting
Actually, not really that out there since I've seen lox pizza before and that was a white pizza topped with cream cheese, lox, capers, and red onions. Pretty tasty.

I can’t remember what my mom craved when my sister was born (I was in kindergarten and don’t remember much) but she did tell me that when I was on the way, she always craved Boston Market. She was stuck in labor for nine hours though, and I guess you’re not supposed to eat during that time? Anyway my dad showed up a few hours in with a giant paper bag of her favorites, she told him she couldn’t eat, so he pulled up a chair and ate all of it in front of her 💀she was understandably pissed off needless to say.

Not supposed to eat because your muscles relax during birth, meaning you crap yourself and pee as well. They stick a tube in to catch the pee, not so much the poop. Fun fact you wish you never knew.

It's wayyyyy less sweet than that, the cola is only there for the bubbly fizz feeling with the milk, the milk almost overpowers the sweetness of cola but it's still there so if you use old cola without fizz in it, it'll taste HORRIBLE I tell you

I’m from Pakistan and it’s actually a really common drink to mix milk with soda usually Coke/pepsi or Sprite, but really any soda works it’s really refreshing for those hot summer days.
Soda and milk taste pretty good together. Especially if it's cream soda

I never had an actual craving other than sweets. But I was more sensitive to really strong garlic and onion smells/flavors. So it’s amazing how different bodies crave some fun combinations. While I’m over here wanting to puke if I smell something too pungent.
The coke and milk is honestly one of my favorite childhood drinks that my gran made for me to cheer me up, she called it brown cow

What interesting tho-wjen i started menopause I started getting weird food cravings again. My dr told me the same kinds of hormonal imbalances that cause pregnancy craving can act up in menopause too. I still eat my sardines on cheese whiz/vegemite toast lol. Just feel bad for my hubby 😁

Omg, this reminded me of my "pregnancy craving," that ended up being a lifelong love! When I was pregnant with baby #2 I worked at KFC, so I ate there often. Every day at lunch I would get chicken and a biscuit (with butter and honey) and 2 sides. Always coleslaw and baked beans, I always took and put beans on my spork, then coleslaw and would eat it together! Not mixed up, just a scoop of each for every bite! I still love this and now am hungry for it again!

I was pregnant with my daughter in 1984. My thing was Taco Bell bean burritos with this great spicy green sauce they had then. You could substitute it for the regular taco sauce on the items. Two of those made me happy for under $3. My second favorite was the Enchirito (sadly gone now). Taco Bell was a cheap craving fix! 😁

For that lady who said it’s gluten free, it’s not really. The hash browns are fried and the bread is still on the patty and everything else so if you are severely allergic to wheat or have Celiacs disease like me I don’t recommend
