This can be easily the hardest choreo Yixing has ever done. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of work that went into this cuz those sharp and synchronised moves aren't something you learn in a week and knowing how perfectionist this man is ... you did so well Yixing and the rest of the dancers too! Everyone was amazing!
It was choreographed by Huang Xiao aka a dancer on his team last year on Street dance of China and he's on it again this year with Xingie

the thing about lay's songs is that his music is so easy to recognize. all the tunes that he make oozes with unique personality, his personality. more than a remarkable, singer and dancer, he is extremely talented in songwriting + composing. Zhang Yixing is definitely one of a kind.

I can't believe the fact that this choreography contains nearly all the Chinese cultural elements and images. While watching the video, lotuses, snakes, dragons, and all the natural and epic things are partnered up with moves in my head. Finally, it becomes one the most legendary and glorious paintings that survived from the ancient times. In conclusion, this is one of the most powerful and unique choreographies I've ever seen in my life.
Lay is China's living treasure. Protect him at all cost.

Lay and Taemin will always be my forever favorite in terms of uniqueness, creativity and dedication in performance. To the point that you will more excited to see the dance practice rather than the music video itself. They never fails to show their own idea, their own brand and the levels of skills they possess. Their personality is very different when they perform- how can I forget Lay in an exo episode where all his members where crying in tears watching the movie and there's Lay hella sleeping😂😂😂. THIS IS A MASTERPIECE NO DOUBT

Lay is a little bit underrated. The way he praise some traits of his culture using popular music and hip hop is no joke. Some people might be sleeping on his work because they're this aversion of k-pop artists eventually became more free on their own artistic career and always place they on a lower level then other artists, but there's not the case here, and I never saw any k-pop artists going solo (specially the ones from SM) being bellow the average considering what they've done so far. I'm proud of always checking Lay's work and feel really happy to see what he always do. I'm a lover of Chinese culture and this man love his culture so much and make sure everyone else will like it or at least take a look on what they have to show to us.

I put some emphasis on he being an ex k-pop artist because people tend to hype more k-pop artist then other artists when it come to achievements and stuff like that. But they keep sleeping on Lay, don't know why tho.
Underrated????? He's one of the top earners and celebrities of China. Also he's signed with SM, but SM has nothing to do with his solo career anymore. He produces his own music, manages his own studio, and opened up a company by himself. He doesn't need any of the external media popularity that you are talking about.

But I wish more people outside China could appreciate him, I sent the "Lit" MV for my friends and they're not into Asian music and they went crazy. They couldn't believe that someone was doing such a great job and they didn't know about him. So it's more about we start hyping him, that's why I mention the fact that an ex k-pop star isn't being praised for his late group fanbase, it would help him. But again, you're completely right. He's so good and don't need to the approve his work.

The song is addictive, love the traditional instrument on the background, there should be a genre of its own. This dance is art, mixing traditional chinese dance to street dance with elements of waacking. Isolation, sharp movements, greatest control of movement. Thank you so much Lay. There is just something about mixing the sounds one's ancient heritage with global modernism that makes a song so fking tasty. It's like the beauty of history and the freedom of the present tied into a present. I love that Lay mixes traditional and current sounds/moves. Ugh the choreooooo, this man never disappoints when it comes to dance. When he dropped Lit, it sounded like he was on to something and then he dropped this and gooood night! This feels like Lay. His other stuff was cool but this fusion sound is something special for him.
