In this excerpt from doing a supercar drive day, we were fortunate enough to be driving a 2014 Nissan GTR as we pulled up to the lights next to another couple in the Ferrari 430.

I'd honestly rather have a GTR than a Ferrari. I could take it to a track as well as drive it daily. Owning one (considering you don't really need more than two seats in your ride anyway) would save up space in my garage.

Guys who can afford super cars aren't buying with "Horsepower on a budget" in mind, he owns a Ferrari because he wants to. He could buy 4 of those GTR's for the same price.
GTR vs ferrari is totally no fair , GTR will destroy the ferrari, check the specs on each car, omg ferrari will not make it. GTR 0-60 2.8 sec and ferrari 430 is 3.8 sec quarter mile gtr 11sec and ferrari 12sec, good bye ferrari. Pair it up with the 458 ferrari it might stand a chance but gtr will still beat it.

what is the point comparing the same exact car? no gtr has the same exact hp because of the way they are made, you should compare every car and not hang on what the brochure says
They still have a range of hp with a maximum of 10hp differents, but it also deppends on where in the world u live and how high above the sea level that you are...

After GTR kept doing 2.8 secs, all the automakers went nuts to beat it by putting a v8-12-16, carbon fiber etc... while the GTR crusied along cool with a V6 and a four door sedan to boot! It defined the heritage for dual clutch, launch control, 4-wheel steering and many many more technologies that all other cars boast today.

@J H L tsuchiya keiichi wants to know your location now! 😂 not everyone can send it through the gunsai mountain pass 26 sec fast or tsukuba circuit in under 1 min 5 sec. The car still allows you to give the weight transfer and definitely drivers still can makes mistakes if they don't fully understand the behavior of the car. But really... now the r35 is the most analog from the other rivals. That statement is kinda unvalid now.
@J H L ofc i agree... personally i would start with ae86s, mr2s, nsxs, even like you said... rx7s and etc. but i just kinda disagree that modern cars like r35s and others don't make you a better driver. Thats all
@J H L no, I'm not... but I'm really into japanese stuff lmao. Watched lot of best motoring and drifting stuff. Tbh i also want old cars like toyota jzx100 series and ae86. But recently early gen r35 (with only 60k km) just got sold for $30-$35k at japanese auction which makes it almost the same price as a nice conditon jzx100 chaser/mark 2 or even other 90s japanese cars. That's why I'm thinking to just learn driving skills through modern cars instead of old cars like r35s, gt86s, or brzs or even 350z, etc.... fr it's hard being this generation of car enthusiast 😂 That's also why i don't see why people really spending $200k+ on a stock 320hp r34 gtr. DK's ae86 which has 220hp can absolutely beat it easy on the gunsai mountain pass. Like you said, lightweight car+high revving engine+total balance= 👌

+Zoid Burg I would hope so since the 360 was made from 1999-2005 and has a 0-60 time around 4.5 secs... Either way though something seemed funny about the way the camera car easily kept up while they were "racing", but the dotted road lines didn't seem to go by him quicker as he should have been going faster to catch a GTR and Ferrari racing WOT. Plus the sound doesn't line up with what is happening in the video.

@@iwshfg6 Both were in production at the same time. With a current Ferrari it definately won't keep up in a straight line. Also we were talking about the ferrari in this vid not current ones. I like Ferrari's too but this one lost fair and square. Even against an 09 gtr it would have yielded the same result.

@@iwshfg6 I think they would be close. The gtr has almost the same power. If you compare Nurburgring times the Gtr is faster. I think a race between the two it would definitely be close. It would ultimately come down to the track and driver. They are both great cars and definitely have some amazing engineering that went into them making them what we know today.
