On Cloudsurfer Trail Review: Two runners test On’s road-to-trail cruiser
The On Cloudsurfer Trail is an off-road version of the Cloudsurfer road shoe, using the same CloudTec Phase rockered midsole but with an upper and outsole better-suited to the trails. Kieran and Nick have been out testing the Cloudsurfer Trail of late, here’s their verdict on the shoe.

Bought both the Cloudsurfer 7 and CloudEclipse. Both started to squeak loudly after about 100 miles. I just can't buy another pair of On's with Helion until this problem is fixed.
Want to try it but will wait for the purple colorway ! Could do with wild horse 8 style lug pattern..Looking forward to the next wild horse as the 8 is one of my current favourites 😊
Love your reviews, about the fit compared to CloudEclipse and Cloudmonster 1, the fit is more alike the CloudEclipse or Cloudmonster? Because at the same size 45 I got black toes with the Cloudmonster while the CloudEclipse were absolutely superb for the fit with plenty of space in the toebox
S Great review, so we can say they are more stable than the non-trail cloudsurfer?
Hey Nick, is your Oslo 2.0 the narrow or the standard width?
Does this squeak like the road shoe? (Many people say that their's start to squeak after a few wears)
It sounds like a Novablast TR So not a trail shoe at all, just an off road extension (with a tweaked outsole) Would be a fair comparison?
