I was happy to share this technique with you guys to get some more bites and bigger bites during the bass spawning season. The lizard overall may be the best soft plastic bait on the planet during the pre-spawn period spawn and the beginning of the post spawn period. I think I am going to start fishing it more in the summer as well. I hope you guys have luck with this and I hope I was able to help you guys out a little bit more when it comes to spawn fishing. Play with your colors and let the fish tell you what they are biting the best.
Here’s my favorite lizard to throw and colors:
*Zoom 8” Magnum Lizard
*Favorite colors: June bug red flake. Pumpkin chart with chartreuse tail. Black/blue tail. Gooseberry. Sprayed grass.

Ya know!!! Ya know!!! Ya know!!!
I know it’s bad lol.. sorry
@@OffTheScalesFishin5696 its all good, just a lil nervous energy. Other than that you did well
How about leaving the spawning fish alone?
Yeah , I hear ya on that but hear me out I don’t specifically target spawning fish the whole time I fish. I fish what bass are doing depending on the time of year I think that’s what all us anglers do no?! I don’t have FFS & don’t believe in it I go off of instincts & catch bass with baits that they should be biting best depending on the time of year! That’s what makes us anglers more well rounded . I’m not gonna stair at a screen the whole time that’s not what fishing is about for me . Plus I gotta believe brother that most guys want to catch those big females when they weigh the most no? I fish harder in the prespawn than anything & post spawn. I’m not really into just straight bed fishing either so in my opinion I’m not doing any harm to the fish & if I do catch a spawner I will put them back immediately right back where I caught them.
I’m gonna try the lizard, my uncle swears by them Yesterday I spent hours trying to get stubborn fish to bite, when I finally tied up a Texas rig horny toad I had a 6/7 lb er swipe at it but nothing ,
Try punching with one
Yeah I’m sure there phenomenal for punching !!! & thanks for the comment for sure! I just don’t really fish alot or lakes that have thick enough cover that I need to punch but if I ever do I will absolutely try it !!
Ok. I’m liking this one. Thanks for sharing👍🏻. Any chance you can send the link for the hook and also what size hook you were using? No disrespect, but I’m just finding some of these videos just sort of incomplete. I have no idea what size hook on the 8inch lizards. I just want to eliminate the guess work and know what works for you and then roll with it. 👍🏻
Bro I got you all day it’s a 4 or 5 size hook & it’s a phenomenal light wire hook!! Stupid hook up ratio & I would NEVER ster my audience wrong ! 💯 thanks you for the comment!! & hey real talk I admit I should have been more detailed with the hook size but best believe I will get better .
