Lewis should reboot the Yogscast main channel... I can't watch anymore TTT. Those gameshows and things like not ones are insanely good though, wish they'd just do those every week instead.

I love the TTT videos, good watch when eating lunch, although the best episodes are usually the ones where they just talk, definitely could have that crew just doing short podcasts with gameplay in the background (which is pretty much what the gta videos are)

Tbh I agree with the fact that even if a show is good - sometimes you need a preview to have a reason to stick through the hours of build up. I was not interested in the show at all until I heard about the aliens, so I think in many cases it can help.
@@HibijibiCraft The way I've been selling it to people is just giving them the premise in the opening. 1 month ago physics "broke" and nobody knows why. But most of the people I talk to already enjoy sci-fi to know what that probably implies, so maybe it's not enough for most people.

This is crazy I actually work in Brean Sands in a cafe DIRECTLY opposite the pontins and I can confirm our trade has been OBLITERATED by the hinkley workers. It’s not their fault, we’re 9-5 and their busses come and go at 6am and 6pm, so we totally miss the trade. I can understand that complaining seems silly because this was obviously going to happen to the trade in Brean as soon as the workers were housed there, but it’s turned the whole seaside village into a ghost town! It’s really honestly worse than it seems and sounds for most of the business down here that aren’t caravan sites I’m personally getting less working hours than ever because we aren’t taking enough clean profit to give all the staff the hours they need. Again, no one’s at fault necessarily, but having to job search to go somewhere else and looking to leave my old job behind sucks after having a real good few years working where I do. I love the staff around me and I love the customers, but compared to previous years the business is most definitely struggling now more than ever, and it’s been run by the same family for 39 years now.
Genuine question, but could you not change your opening hours whilst they are there? Maybe stay open until 8pm?
@@katieheys3007 the issue is more complicated than that, because pontins have put their own catered canteen on the pontins site, and obviously we cannot compete with the prices their canteen puts up - because it’s not running to make a profit, it’s running to break more or less even and feed the workers. So even if we were open when the bus drops them back from Hinkley point C, the % of workers that would come in and spend money here, compared to those who would save their money and just go in to the catered canteen instead is very low, and with staff on an hourly rate you’d be open and waiting from about 4 till 6/7pm just for one busload of people to turn up, most of which wouldn’t actually be looking to come in for a sit-down meal. It also doesn’t help that Hinkley has its own super cheap canteen on site either. The other bus drops them home at 3am, and again, the people coming home at 3am aren’t about to walk into a cafe and have a lasagna or cooked breakfast etc at 3am after their long shift, it’s more likely they’ll eat on site at Hinkley, come back to Brean and go to sleep. Our trade used to depend on low income poor families usually from wales or the midlands who would stay at the pontins. Pontins is a shithole it’s true, but they knew what they were paying for and the vast majority were happy to stay there, we keep our prices low for those types of families because the food across the road at Pontins is so awful they would usually rather come to us. Don’t get me wrong, we’re 2nd in the whole area for food on Trip Advisor, we’re by no means a shit cafe we’re extremely popular and make great home cooked food. But between losing 1000’s of pontins customers per week, the price of electricity going up, the price of food and stock going up, minimum wage/ hourly rate going up, etc it’s really difficult to stay afloat compared to the last few years. We’re lucky that we do stay afloat because we are popular I know some of the other sites and places in brean have probably been hit twice as bad as us. The business owner here is 60+ and has literally run cafes and pubs her whole life, if there was some easy fix or remedy to get more of the hinkley workers into our cafe she would have already jumped on it. The cafe has been very successful for almost 40 years now, and we’re only just starting to see real financial problems arise, sadly.
