Through trial and error we’ve learned that it should be a bit wider so people don’t hit there arms and there must be a way to make it flush with the rest of the floor so it’s not noticeable. He has to have the coolest house and hands down gonna be the coolest grandpa one day 😂

i always wondered about trap doors like this ever since seeing them as a kid on tv. like the reality of it. like the grip of one shoe sticking to one of the panels long enough to pull your leg apartfrom you really fast and risk doing the splits. not knowing how far you are falling so tensing up too fast and getting leg cramps or twisting and possibly breaking your ankle when you land cuz again you have no idea of how far of a drop etc
